I like the idea of laddering with the primer options. Might have to try that

When I have the resources, it's something I enjoy doing every once in a while. It helps you get a "feel" of the primer, and what it likes, or doesn't like. (Or maybe I should say cartridge?)
I dunno, it's tough. 7x57 really liked Winchester Match primers, and it almost seemed like just about any load I fired with it, it preferred that primer. There were exceptions with some powders, of course, but there is always going to be --- but I think that was a case where a cartridge and the "burn profile" of the primer just married well together.
With 223, it's just been a mixed bag - sometimes load work-ups are fairly similar, kind of like in this video, where there is more similar than different. Other times, switching the primers is the difference between me making feeling lucky for getting under a 2" group, and handedly getting 1/2". It's weird.

@@upnorthreloading2214 I've only tried it a couple of times and outside of 223 it seems like it just moves the node some. To me. So I started doing a powder ladder, seating depth groups, then if I don't like it run a "mini" ladder around the node with a different primer. I just got 500 berrys 55gr fmj and 500 62gr fmj I'm thinking about trying something different
