This is the most accurate video on estradiol in men. It's amazes me how many doctors I've spoken to (in Canada) who say estradiol should be zero in men.
It’s not accurate because there’s way more symptoms than what she mentioned and what’s in the internet.
It’s accurate. She doesn’t need to list ever listed side effect, just the more common ones. She is spot on with the testing methods. Only thing I would add is that I would suggest more frequent dosing instead of using an AI.
One other thing I would say is there is no need for the LC/MS/MS E2 labs. They are much more expensive and we already know the regular test is fine as long as the E2 is now < 20.
mike zappulla what about for a man in his mid 50s who are estrogen dominant? I have high estrogen and have bad gynocamastia on one side. I’m not on TRT and have never taken steroids. Getting a Dr to do anything here on the east coast of Canada is impossible, i don’t have a family Dr and when i ask about outpatients they just brush it off.

I'm on trt and my testosterone levels have gone too high so I have dropped my dosage from 250 a week to 150mg which is split into 2 shots, my estrogen is 71 pg/ml, my shbg is in range which is good as it was real high previously, should I take 0.25 on my injection day which is Tuesday and Saturday ? currently doing my own head in with worrying thoughts and anxiety and some problems maintaining solid erection due to the high oestrogen along with the other high etrogen sides. any advice or help would be great. thankyou

This information makes me a bit concerned. I'm on T injections, and I had to ask to have my estradiol tested. I suspected it was high because of my moodiness, etc., and it was over 100. I was put on 1 mg anastrozole each day for six months. After that time, my estradiol was not measurable. The PA was not concerned. I don't know what method the lab used, but the PA told me they will only test it every six months because it moves slowly. He decreased my anastrozole to 1 mg 3x per week. This is an actual endocrinology clinic, but I don't feel like they know what they're doing. They may be the best around for my geographic area, unfortunately. At age 61 and both hips replaced (one twice, after my femur fractured 4 weeks post-op) I don't need osteoporosis.

do u drink alcohol? if not that's not good that 100mg test would put you over 100ng of estrogen. may have non alcoholic fatty liver (if so lipotropic b12 shots will resolve) the liver does a lot of amazing things with hormones have that fucker looked at, good luck

A.J. Johal I avoid it if possible, multiple long term effects. I prescribe increased frequency of injections or micro of the test to reduce the amount of E2 conversion.
Get blood tests. Don't blindly guess if you have high estrogen.
As a guy, I took Estradiol patch to lower my testosterone level down. Because for a long time, my testosterone was way off base and had to turn it all the way down! I was tired of being horny at all of the times, and my libido was way too high. my former doctor told me that there was nothing that he can to help me to tone it down. All he said was: "Either get a partner or play it with yourself." Geez, so I took Estradiol to curb it. Don't get me all wrong. I don't know about you.

Although this video has some useful information, the advice to ignore high estradiol levels when there are no apparent adverse symptoms is bad. In a study published 2007, blood levels of estradiol were measured in a group of 2,197 men aged 71 to 93 years of age. Adjustment for age, hypertension, diabetes, adiposity, cholesterol, atrial fibrillation, and other characteristics were made. During the course of follow-up, men with the highest blood levels of estradiol had a 2.2-fold greater risk of stroke compared with those whose estradiol levels were lower. This study revealed that estradiol blood levels greater than 34.1 pg/mL resulted in this more than doubling of stroke incidence.
