The TX/RX codes are PL and DPL codes. (Also known a CTCSS and DCS) When its on your radio will only unsquelch for transmissions that are transmitting the code that you have set in "RX" code.
Say you only care about hearing the radios in your group and not the other random chatter on the channel. Set all your radios for PL Code 77 on the TX/RX code and you will only hear the radios in your group.
Some of the new FM cb's support CTCSS/DCS.

The TX and RX codes are CTCSS codes that only break the squelch unless that code is transmitted or received. Like a "privacy code" I say "privacy" very loosely. It's a nice feature if you have noise that breaks the squelch and you just want to hear the other person without the noise coming in.

These radios are programmable via chirp. Using the RB27 file instead of the rb27v file produces some interesting redults!

I like MURS they give much more range per watt than the FRS radios on UHF. These remind me of a small Baofeng radio. Glad to see a company with good user manuals. Baofeng manuals suck!

TDR is dual frequency receiving in same time. This function consume additional current.
    Good health for You :)

We have something similar in UK, called pmr446, 0.5watts on 446 MHz. I first got a pair in about 2003 and was stunned how well they work. Since then I've done loads with them, I made a radio station with a MP3 player hooked up and car battery for power. It transmitted tunes on a loop for over a week. It's range from a large hillside was over 25 miles. People have made contact crazy distances with them. I'd like to see you test them by tuning a base scanner then driving away etc. Cool toys! 😎👍❤️

MURS is allowed up to 2 watts in the VHF band. They also allow external rooftop antennas. Are external antennas allowed with the PMR radios in the U.K. ?

They are a nice set of two ways with plenty of options and room for other attachments like a plug in mic, any idea what the distance is that they cover and what the frequency coverage is.. good video my friend 73.

Thanks! I think this set will do a mile or 2, it depends on how many obstacles are in the way. Take care, 73's

Do you ever compare range with you CB and GMRS radios ?

Very few people use MURS radios, so unless you are with someone else who has one you aren't going to hear anything. The MURS signal is much cleaner. they have a similar range under most conditions (about a mile), but the CB has the potential for reaching out much further if conditions are right.
MURS is better than FRS because external antennas are permited. You can stick a VHF mag mount antenna on your car and extend the range by another mile.

nobody even bothers using these damn things anyways the bands on these radios are so quiet that all you hear is Walmarts and that's about it otherwise I use the surecom SR 629 repeater controller with these radios connected to my scanner and I'm able to re-broadcast railroad and public safety traffic without a problem hell of a range extender to when it comes to that so I can still hear what my vehicle hears when I'm shopping or when walking around the neighborhood so I don't have to keep carrying a bunch of radios when I could just hear my base scanner from home
