In 2015 got rid of my house that I rehabbed after 10 years living in it, with everything in it plus 2 vehicle and got 1 newer explorer and packed it up and traveled for 4/5 years straight and lived in Vegas for 9 months, San Diego for a month. I’ve been bitten on the chest on a dive once and stabbed on the calf once surfing in Galveston. In respect of the late great Steve Irwin, we all should be cognizant. Love you guys ❤
We do want to sell everything and sail. Currently we boat, but not sail. Got a taste last summer sailing the V.I. with Capt Mark and the Pampero. Loved it.

G'day Brooke and Gary!! Thanks for another awesome episode guy's!! That tree leaking sap is a common Gum tree, i love how it leaks it sap out!! Hope you both are doing well and keeping safe in your van travels! 😊
Hello, I'm a new subscriber who got me hooked on your videos since the whole repair of "one lifee" and his dingy too, and the whole crossing of the Pacific, all the adventures that happen seemed amazing to me. The tree looked like Woodpeckers had been on it. It might be something else doing it there, but in the states when a tree is sick, everything else attacks it. There was one that had the woodpecker holes all over the trunk and we noticed a funny “sound” coming from it, when we cut it down, it was nearly hollow and it was also full of “Ants” and Carpenter Ants which were making the buzzing noises. The Woodpecker’s were after the Bugs inside the tree.

Great video B&G! A nice way to get moving with some tea on Sunday morning. The turtle dive... Awesome! Getting your provisioning back to the boat in that kind of wind and chop... Not so awesome... But probably makes the good times feel even better. With the batten stitching, I'm wondering if putting some smooth edged discs of 1/8” HDPE inside the part of the pocket tearing out would make it last longer...? Seems like the end of the batten is poking and breaking the fibers.
Hi Larry! Thanks for spending your Sunday morning with us. That is exactly what is happening with the battens. We are thinking we should round the edges of the battens themselves and then maybe dip the ends in a rubber coating.
@@SailingOneLife if the battens themselves are polyethylene, it's not likely the coating will stick. Hi Gang! This is interesting about the starfish : "The new study sheds light on new possibilities in crown-of-thorns starfish management. So far, experts have tried to cull wild populations by injecting them with vinegar or bile salts, or by removing and destroying the starfish one at a time. In 2015, crews killed 350,000 starfish, but somewhere between 4 to 12 million in total live in the Great Barrier Reef, per the Washington Post. Venus Point is a very big deal. The whole reason Capt Cook sailed all the way from England to Tahiti was to observe the planet Venus passing in front of the Sun. The observation made it possible to determine the distance from the Earth to the Sun, something that was actually quite difficult before the age of satellites and radar.

Ah, thanks Scott! 💙💙
A very nice video. Loved the turtle footage. I know Sea Turtles are reptiles and you mentioned that they sleep amongst the coral. Well how long do they hold their breath for. Amazing video.
I don't know exactly but I've heard they can hold their breath for about two hours while resting! Pretty incredible!
Thankyou for telling us the names of the flora and fauna .
Glad you enjoy that part of our videos
It’s all fun and games until you have to go grocery shopping 😂😂
So true! Who knew it would take up an entire day....plus one to put it all away.
Beautiful video. ❤❤
Thanks, Bob! 💙
You have the entire cast of Finding Nemo in this video! :) Fun stuff.
We were calling the clownfish, Nemo fish! 🤩💙🐟
Easily my all-time favorite movie, barely besting Ratatouille for that honor. :)
Like the underwater video
Thank you! 🐟💙
It must be much cooler and comfortable without the BEARD. I grow one for winter in Prescott Arizona.
Definitely much cooler!
Love it! I’d rather a rough dingy ride on the way there and a smooth one on the way back 😂 not the other way round, *cough* Tongatapu*cough* 😂😂
HAHA! This grocery trip is why we brought trash bags with us in Tongatapu! 😂😂
@@SailingOneLife very smart! And definitely worth it! 😂
Don't you miss boat life?! We just got home today....feels so good!
Yes! So much incredible history here!
Truly guys, as many have posted, amazing underwater video and words, perhaps some documentaries in your future! ;) All the best, i too need McDonalds as a Canadian, but i feel mostly American ;)
Thanks for your kind words on the dive footage! We don't mind sharing our McDonald's with you! 💙🇨🇦
Great video guys, as usual. Gosh, this must have been quite a long time ago that you filmed this. I noted that in your Surfshark advertisement, you are in Turangi, New Zealand. Parlay are in NZ as well. I guess you have some catching up to do. Can't wait to see your video of the journey the rest of the way across the Pacific. Are you coming to Australia and if so, will you be heading to the West?
Hey there :) thank you! Yeah, unfortunately our videos are behind because of all the sailing we have done recently but we are trying to get them out as soon as possible! We are considering sailing to Australia for cyclone season this year. We are headed to Fiji in May.
@@SailingOneLife No probs about the backlog. Just means we have lots of video to watch. So I gather later this year during cyclone season you'll stay on the East Coast of Australia, or will you be doing a trip around the bottom and over to Western Australia?
