I am on a Mac and I really wished you would of showed how you resized the image. I can't find a video that will show me how to resize my image to Apple Music's requirements.
Hey, so the image has to be at least 2400 x 2400 pixels in size so first of all make sure you have an image big enough! I use Photoshop on my mac which you can get a free trial of, so might be worth doing that just for this.
If that's not available to you just use the Preview app. Here’s some tips :)
Crop the image -
1. Right click on the image and choose *Open With > Preview*.
2. Click *View* on the top menu bar, choose *Show Markup Toolbar*.
3. Click and drag anywhere on the image to make a selection.
4. Click on the *crop* button on the Markup Toolbar.
Resize the image -
1. Right click on the image and choose *Open With > Preview*.
2. Click *Tools* on the top menu bar, choose *Adjust Size*.
3. Make sure the *Scale proportionally* option is ticked and choose your new size.

Great video! I'm just starting to set up an artist page. The process sounds restrictive and frustrating. It makes me wonder if it's worth it. I'd rather be making music!

Hey, thanks for the vid! The image resolution requirement as of this writing is now only 800 by 800 pixels, even though the iTunes Store Artist Images Guidelines 1.6 still say "2400 x 2400 minimum".
Hey! I did the same thing as you but so far it has taken 2 days to update my artist picture... And I use my Connect, I see what my friends listen to all the time!

Obviously this also updates your image on 'Connect' too. I'm curious, do any of you use that?
I agree, it is frustrating. I want to remain somewhat anonymous, which is why I use a logo to represent myself - not my face. A logo is a lot more professional than the album cover that is default...

As in your royalties? Did you sign up to a distributor? They'll be collecting royalties for you or your label

Very good question! I've done some digging and it looks like iTunes gets their bio info from AllMusic. You can apply to be added to the database on here. I'm gonna try this out and get with a video to see if it works.

Dude they keep rejecting my artist image. Do they not like my face or what? I used a high resolution image taken by a professional photographer and it doesn't violate any of their rules. I also properly aligned it. Like wtf?

MrSteJ I also can’t understand why Apple is so freaking strict about artist profile pictures...my photos get rejected most of the time...only 1 got accepted so far...ugh it’s so frustrating and super freaking annoying!
