you are genius to me the GM system with secondary cats delete sounds the most aggressive.........What do you think? Also love the job you are doing with your channel, keep it up. I deleted the secondary cats on my C7 Z06, with a Corsa X-Pipe and man it came alive......
Stainless Works was the loudest and the NPP secondary cat delete was 2nd. Surprisingly the NPP cat delete sounded better than I thought it would. Well I now I know to stay away from the Hooker exhaust system. Nice video.
Excellent video.................if you ever need anything else or need help with anything let me know. Again was great fun and excellent opportunity to meet other like minded drivers
Thanks for making this video. I have to agree with the masses here and say NPP with the second cat delete was my favorite. Lethal your car looks great by the way.
I like the stock NPP with the cat delete pipe best but I also think the RPM of the A8 cars and the selected gear it was in seems to have an advantage with perceived sound volume on video verses the M6.
You know... I hate to say this, but stock sounds pretty good here. Now I heard AWE's systems, and they sound fantastic, but have no active systems. I wonder if some super small resonators would go well in place of the cats?
I like the stock with the cat delete, but the stainless steelworks was a very close second. I'd have to hear back to back cold starts/revs to know ultimately via video
same ! I'm hoping somehow once it comes I can negotiate with gm to somehow add the 2ss package onto the 1le, that'd be awesome but lethal your system is the loudest, then the other white ss second, all black 3rd in terms of growl and noise. I like them all though and would install either exhausts
Honestly they all sound freaking amazing But as far cost Id just delete the secondary cats Because it sounds amazing But i believe yours sound more aggressive Plus im sure the camera mic doesnt do it justice You thinking about putting a gopro on the rear bumper so we can hear it more? Great vid.
I like the first one best, it has a nice sound at all rev ranges, and it's the smoothest out of all of them, the hookers has a nice throaty sound, but you can barely hear it without it accelerating hard, and the stock one sounds good but isn't quite as smooth as the first one
Is this out by Acton? Both the white cars sounded louder than the black car. The first white car sounds slightly louder than the other white car which had the same sound as the first white car. 1st goes to the SW white Camaro with the 8spa, 2nd goes to the white GM dual mode Camaro with the 6spm, 3rd goes to the Hooker setup on the black Camaro with the 6spm. I noticed your car with the automatic doesn't sound as good when cruising during shift changes but when that auto snaps gear to gear when you get on it the sound is above the other two!
hi Sledge. Has your friend had any problems with throwing check engine light with the stock Npp with secondary cats deleted? All the cars sound amazing.
It's a toss-up between the GM NPP and Stainless Works. They both sound nastier in a good way. The Hooker system has a more conservative toned-down sound which I can't remember the precise word that best describes. Anyways, you can't go wrong with any of these systems.
OK I have QTP electric cut outs.... If I put on Long Tubes will it make that much of a sound difference? I want the most aggressive sound possible. Lethal can you advise?
I think at mid throttle, the NPP/cat delete sounded best, but at wot the Stainless Works sounded a little cleaner with less rasp. I didn't care for the hooker setup. It would have been cool to have an NPP setup there with the cats still in place.. I think that would have sounded the best since it would knock the raspiness down some.
personally I liked the stock npp with the secondary cat delete. the stainless works and hooker systems just didn't seem to be that much of an improvement over the stock system to warrant the purchase cost.
+Lethalhammer good point. I did think the stainless works system sounded better at idle and low rpm than the stock system in the previous video so I'm not gonna base a final opinion off this video or anything. can't wait to hear what your car sounds like with the stock primary cats installed.
Hey Sledge, do you have any 2016 camaro ss with both cats deleted with the stock npp. I deleted the secondary cats but was thinking of getting the test pipes you have. Did your car run ok with them installed?
They all sound good (average) and very similar. it's hard to tell the difference! But the lt1 doesn't sounds nearly as good as the Ls engines with different cat back combos.
Hi, i need to change my catback or axle back from dual to quad tips but i want the quietest, i need one similar to the stock sound. I think with this video the Black Heart it's the quiestest one, can you please helpme with the info?. Thanks
This is very hit-or-miss. I wish there was some consistency in the reporting. I'd love to knock off my secondary cats, but don't want to deal with a CEL. Some have luck, some get a CEL on first-start.. ugh.
I listened to this in my '16 Camaro and personally the NPP cat delete sounded the loudest on the speakers, while the Hooker sounded like it had the deepest note.
Wow my favorite is actually the NPP with deletes. I just love that grindy industrial sound.
you are genius
to me the GM system with secondary cats delete sounds the most aggressive.........What do you think?
Also love the job you are doing with your channel, keep it up.
I deleted the secondary cats on my C7 Z06, with a Corsa X-Pipe and man it came alive......
Gm secondary NPP with cat deletes sounds sick. I'm doing that to my 1 LE with NPP
That cat delete sounded way better than I expected, still like your 3' ones better. Nice deep sound 👍🏼
Very impressed with the OE set up, I think it challenges the stainless work. Mind blown !!!! 😳
Stainless Works was the loudest and the NPP secondary cat delete was 2nd. Surprisingly the NPP cat delete sounded better than I thought it would. Well I now I know to stay away from the Hooker exhaust system. Nice video.
From everything I've heard I think I actually like the sound of long tube headers and high flow cats with the factory npp system.
+Steve Bauer It's a good way to go. The only complaints I have is at idle they seem a bit quiet still.
To me all of those mods were just AWESOME! They sound sick.
I liked the deep tone of the Blackheart but it wasn't loud enough, my fav was probably stock with secondary cat delete.
Excellent video.................if you ever need anything else or need help with anything let me know. Again was great fun and excellent opportunity to meet other like minded drivers
We will 100% need to do more tests. Got my DB reader for interior and exterior sound.
Thanks for making this video. I have to agree with the masses here and say NPP with the second cat delete was my favorite. Lethal your car looks great by the way.
+Brian Mitchem The biggest issue with cat delete is the low rpm idle.
What do you mean by that?
When the car is at idle, you can hardly hear it.
yours sounds the best by far.
Your car sounds the best in my opinion
Yours sound the best. Then cat delete w/npp. Last Hooker
that cat delete was the loudest, I'm listening on a Bluetooth speaker.
Agreed
They all sound great!!! But I think I like the black cars exhaust the best
Hooker reminds me of the 77 Pontiac firebird with 6.6L I really like that one the best. the other two sound great as well
I like the stock with the cat delete, but the stainless steelworks was a very close second. I'd have to hear back to back cold starts/revs to know ultimately via video
I honestly think the cat delete and stainless sounds very similar. I didn't really like the Hooker sound at all. Thanks for the video!
It comes down to the RPM range that make them different. The SW system can be heard more often, the NPP system will drop off.
Definitely like the sound of the ssw the best excited to hear the kooks
Dude the set up you have sounded amazing. why put the cats back on? rock it like that... Shake and bake!
I can't wait till the 1le comes out. Going to be my first new car. Subscribed! love your Content!
same ! I'm hoping somehow once it comes I can negotiate with gm to somehow add the 2ss package onto the 1le, that'd be awesome
but lethal your system is the loudest, then the other white ss second, all black 3rd in terms of growl and noise. I like them all though and would install either exhausts
+Richard Harrow Thank you for the support!
Honestly they all sound freaking amazing
But as far cost
Id just delete the secondary cats
Because it sounds amazing
But i believe yours sound more aggressive
Plus im sure the camera mic doesnt do it justice
You thinking about putting a gopro on the rear bumper so we can hear it more?
Great vid.
I think yours sounds the best, however; I'd prefer the Black Heart just for the fact it doesn't appear to be as loud.
+DazdnCofuzd ,
If you don't want it loud, keep it stock. Silly stoner
I like the first one best, it has a nice sound at all rev ranges, and it's the smoothest out of all of them, the hookers has a nice throaty sound, but you can barely hear it without it accelerating hard, and the stock one sounds good but isn't quite as smooth as the first one
I like yours and the secondary cat delete

+jjs4you2 the is in Temecula
hi Sledge. Has your friend had any problems with throwing check engine light with the stock Npp with secondary cats deleted? All the cars sound amazing.
Not that I am aware of as the secondary cats are after the sensors.
Can you do some downshifts with your car? Your car sounds great dude
It's a toss-up between the GM NPP and Stainless Works. They both sound nastier in a good way. The Hooker system has a more conservative toned-down sound which I can't remember the precise word that best describes. Anyways, you can't go wrong with any of these systems.
They all sounded good but the Stainless works sounded the best. What's the price difference between the 3?
+Charles Turner The hookups and Stainless are the same price. The 2ndary cats delete is maybe $100 ;)
Hey .. what do you suggest sw axel back or catback
OK I have QTP electric cut outs.... If I put on Long Tubes will it make that much of a sound difference? I want the most aggressive sound possible. Lethal can you advise?
Black Heart on low rpm was really nice. Although I thought the best all round was the Stock GM with CAT delete.
NPP 4TW!!
Hey did he take off the cats by the exhaust or by the front end of the car ?
I think at mid throttle, the NPP/cat delete sounded best, but at wot the Stainless Works sounded a little cleaner with less rasp.
I didn't care for the hooker setup.
It would have been cool to have an NPP setup there with the cats still in place.. I think that would have sounded the best since it would knock the raspiness down some.
+ajrothm Next time. The car I had lined up couldn't make it out.
Yours Wins Sounds So Beast
Black heart sounded great but was not loud enough stainless steel was the best. Cat delete was good too.
personally I liked the stock npp with the secondary cat delete. the stainless works and hooker systems just didn't seem to be that much of an improvement over the stock system to warrant the purchase cost.
+Shawn Lawson You really have to hear them at all stages. Drive-bys are only part of the story.
+Lethalhammer good point. I did think the stainless works system sounded better at idle and low rpm than the stock system in the previous video so I'm not gonna base a final opinion off this video or anything. can't wait to hear what your car sounds like with the stock primary cats installed.
Look for my next video that will give a better layout of startup, idle and rev.
Hey Sledge, do you have any 2016 camaro ss with both cats deleted with the stock npp. I deleted the secondary cats but was thinking of getting the test pipes you have. Did your car run ok with them installed?
+Brian c I do not
They all sound good (average) and very similar. it's hard to tell the difference! But the lt1 doesn't sounds nearly as good as the Ls engines with different cat back combos.
did the Npp x Secondary Cat Delete get a CEL?
All tests conducted with vehicles operating at or under posted speed limits.
Is the secondary cat delete the cheapest way to go out of the three?
+eZ duZiT yes
are u still going to keep stock headers or are u putting new ones
+Joejohn Carrizal stock for now
Stock with cat delete sounds better than the Hooker. The Hooker is too quiet.
your car still sounds better but want to hear it with the cats installed.
Will the car pass emission with the secondary cat delete?
In theory it should. as the sniffer sensors are before the secondary cats, not after.
Hi, i need to change my catback or axle back from dual to quad tips but i want the quietest, i need one similar to the stock sound.
I think with this video the Black Heart it's the quiestest one, can you please helpme with the info?. Thanks
You can order it from Phastekperformance.com
Matt trying get headers but no ok need will ship to California any ideas on how to do this
+Bill Miller have them shi0 to a friend out of state and have them ship it to you.
ok thanks can't wait to see your new spolier
+Bill Miller well it arrived... but has issues
Stainless works !!
did he get a check engine light from cutting the 2nd cat i just got a 2017 1LE and want to cut that asasp
+Sonny Dbaby you can potentially get a CEL for removing the secondary cats
This is very hit-or-miss. I wish there was some consistency in the reporting. I'd love to knock off my secondary cats, but don't want to deal with a CEL. Some have luck, some get a CEL on first-start.. ugh.
Your sounds the best!!!
SW by far.
They all sound amazing but I say stainless then stock then hooker no hate to hooker but it does have kinda a pop to it
it's like there's no good exhaust for this generation like the others gmmg, and spintech were awesome on the 02 LS1
oh no hope it is ok
ur car sounds better have u dyno ur car with all the mods u put on
+Joejohn Carrizal not yet
1.S works 2.NPP 3.black
very cool I Am down just e mail when
+Bill Miller will do
I'm glad I didn't buy the Hooker Headers at Camaro Fest.... Disappointed with the sound quality.
cat delete sounded the loudest to me
The Stainless Works system was overall the loudest in all stages. The NPP secondary cat delete followed 2nd.
+Lethalhammer maybe it sounds different in person then
I listened to this in my '16 Camaro and personally the NPP cat delete sounded the loudest on the speakers, while the Hooker sounded like it had the deepest note.
+kingdomdreams4 It really comes down to being able to get longer recording sessions. Each car made passes at different rpm and speeds
Yeah I'm digging it
