Could you film Otaihanga Road and Waikanae Pedestrian Level Crossings if you haven’t already? Muri Station was closed due to the platform design it was unsuitable for the safe operations of the Matangi units.
Waikanae is gonna be harder for him to film because it’s located AFTER where the trains stop Service and turn around unlike the road crossing. This means they won’t actually use the crossing. I know because I’ve seen it in Google Earth Street View. I guess he could try and wait for one of the long distance services but other than that it won’t be easy
Awesome Video Alex! It still baffles me that even over there in your country, railways still use American signal equipment! Its actually really cool! Greetings from the US! Your a level crossing buff too, check out mine! Also if you ever plan on coming to the USA one day, we need to meet up! Plus i added you to my featured channels page so you can get more views! Lets stay in touch!
Yes sometimes trains stop for that signal, Doesn't happen that often though as the signal clears once the crossing activates. That signal also has a mechanical train stop device connected as well which will apply the brakes on the trains and bring it to a halt if the signal is passed at danger (Same system that is used on the London underground), As South Junction is around the corner, That is where the two tracks merge into one for the trip down the hill.

At 5:10 you can see the trip switch turn off the level crossing, if you look very closely at the little white pressure pad coming up on the track
That is so well spotted! Awsome!
I live at 4 weku road pukerua bay that’s right next to the train station
Good for you, though it's probabaly not a good ides to publish your address on the internet.
Why is there’s a Bells off sign USA Doesn’t have that
Because this isn't the USA

You’ve also forgotten Ngaio level crossing on the Johnsonville line
Ngaio Station's is not an automated one, so that doesn't count.
Huh. Didn’t know that
You’ve also missed the one at Otaihanga road in between Paraparaumu and Waikanae
