Lol; throwback to that one period of time post-COVID when it was suddenly labelled as “Staff Only” without warning 💀 I’m glad this has held on. This more-Americanised style of GEC Express honestly ain’t bad.

Formerly the CQ Hotel, with the Schindler EuroLift side being "Comfort" and the Gen2 side being "Quality". Used to frequent this place when I first came to NZ - the lounge near the restaurant was honestly pretty nice to just chill in! Kinda surprised the two Gen2’s are connected upstairs - pretty sure the reason why L2 was locked in the second one is because that is _technically_ part of a separate apartment building (The Wellington Apartments) and not the Quality Hotel - probably why that one also didn’t get a cab redecoration. I’ve also always been meaning to revisit the Schindler EuroLift at minimum, but I’m a bit wary of reception on the ground floor near that one! 😅

It feels so different finding a Schindler Eurolift instead of the usual 300P & 5400AP (Often With D-Series), also M-Series. It also feels so good finding 5400EU's with FI MXB or FI MXV. It's like finding Scrolling Schindler M-Series.

Looks *very* well-built for most unbranded generic lifts of this nature! I suppose it has to be, seeing as it's bigger and more heavy-duty than a lot of the publicly rideable “passenger lifts”. That motor sound is what I like to nickname the "ferry horn" - though, in this case, it sounds more like a disgruntled cow 😂😆
