    How cool, I didn't know you fished freshwater also, I live in Michigan, in the states and only fish for pike, bass and trout because I have no salt water near home. I just started watching your station last week, but I have not been able to stop because you are very dedicated and very informative. I also like the fact that you are a great father and husband as well. Keep up the great shows my new friend

      - Thank you John. I have seen your comments on quite a few videos now - so thank you for that. I love all fishing mate, fresh, salt, lure or bait. I'm mad for all of it. :D

    Brings back great memories. Havn't caught a pike in yrs. My best ones (up to 22lbs on dead bait) came from the river Welland and the Counter drain near Spalding Lincolnshire. But that was 35yrs ago. Don't know what it's like now. Good health and stay safe.

    Another amazing video, takes me back to last October had a mini break in a Lodge on the Thames by Benson, private fishing, £3.50 day ticket had 4 field widths to fish, had some nice perch, a few dace and gudgeon on first day, second day after having a full English at the riverside cafe, pulled out just over 3.5lb Perch is was a monster, you cant beat worms for perch, the guy on the next swim was swim feeding didn't catch a thing, the biggest perch i have ever caught, was shaking so much could hardly keep my phone still, and to add insult to injury i had to borrow his scales as left mine back at the lodge, have never caught a Pike as of yet.

      Scott Senior - It’s so exciting livebaiting. Watching the float start going mad as the livebait sees the pike. Then the float going down. I do like Pike. Probably my favourite coarse fish. 👍🏻🎣🐊

    Are those Northern Pike or Musky?! I think you caught a bunch of muskies there my friend! Northern pike have lines that move horizontal along the body of the fish, muskies have vertical lines of spots along the body of the fish. I recently found out by staring at some pictures from this ice season, a fish I thought was a pike was my first musky! Either way congrats! Those are some nice fish!

    Do you use barbed hooks for the live bait?

    • @TheFishLocker
      @TheFishLocker  3 роки тому

      - No. If I don't have totally barbless I use crushed barbs and use a little a little bit of foam/rubber onto the hook to hold the bait on.
