- After all the good comments about the seal being the wrong way I had to do an take 2 on the hydraulic cylinder reparation for the valmet 505.
And I also had to do an temporarily fix on the 3 point lift.

Befor welding this cast iron arm, you should take it off first and check if this pivot shatf got teeth, cause if they are worn out it gonna brake again .
Yes shud have done that but was in a hurry had customers waiting on me so I just went with the quick fix worry about it later 🤗 since I had found used parts to fix it, this fix is just so it will hold until than 😊
The left looked out of adjustment to me ! Who makes that Velmat tractor ? What country is it from Norway maybe ?
There is no adjustment on the left side only the right side. The valmet is made in Finland 🇫🇮
Mini Machines your saying there’s no adjustment at all on the left side ?! That don’t make sense, both sides should be adjustable ! My tractor has adjustments on both sides !
@@davekimbler2308 no the left side is fixed and the right side have adjustment.
Did you grease the seal before you slide it on?
That spline shaft would be hardened and you won't be able to weld to it properly.
Did spray it with silicone, my main goal with the weld was to keep it in place so it won't tilt out. And that it last until the new/used parts are here, so hopefully it will stick til then 😊
Those splines in liftarm axle and liftarms are weak spot -05 series Valmets and some younger models when they are start going loose , there is no any good strong fast repair. If that liftarm axle slides sideways , it can broke or bendt inner parts for lift control valve.
The list controller haven't worked since I got it, if I lift the 3 point all the way up the pump continues to pump so I guess this is nothing new. I will get a used axel and lift arms so hopefully that will fix it 🤞
@@MiniMachines1 Something is not right there if pump does not stop makin pressure when 3point goes uppest position , if those trailerhitch lift telescopes are too short , it also causes that continuous pressure in 3point top position , also it can be inner proplem. In -05 series , in factory they make younger moldels liftarm axle threads both ends and instal cup style washers , that lockring is not the best option to keep arms in axle. When you instal new axle and arms , clean splines and reassembly whit tar or anything what stops rusting.
@@MrJsormunen will check inside when i take it apart, but like it's been and is now its when I get almost to the top it continues to pump, I actually thought something was terrible wrong once out clearing snow, when driving I was missing a lot of power and I thought it was something with the engine, but that I realized it was the 3point list being too high so the pump was running 😏
Yikes, that will keep you running, it will in the end make it more work to remove lifting arm off rock shaft.
I'm hoping I can release the arm on the other side and than push it true🤞
