Hello from Ukraine! Steve and Joe, you're brilliant!). Thank you for the music, inspiration and your mastership sharing!
P.S: Joe, I have ticket to the cancelled show in Kiev2019, ))) Anyway, hope to see you in Kyiv after all these war and covid stuff....
Stay safe in Ukraine! ✌️
Stay strong! Be safe!
I hope you and your country are safe. In our prayers, Australia.
Look after yourself . I would love to see Ukraine and other parts of Eastern Europe . I am just praying for peace for every one there at present .
Thank you! We'll win! )
Holy crap, that was great and yes, the movie “Crossroads” turned our lives around, I watch it at least once a year ! Aloha from Hawai’i
Cannot stand that movie…Ralph Machio as a blues man? That casting was as bad as Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher.
Finally !! Nerdville is back !! I've missed you so much !!! No, seriously, I've been having Nerdville withdrawals
Me too!
JOE BONAMASSA IS A DOUCHE BLUES

What an OUTSTANDING interview Joe! You are such a great man. It is very apparent how much you value other people and give them space to shine and answer GREAT questions. ❤
I love you guys. Two of the best
Two national treasures ❤
Thank you so much. This is so good 🎸❤
Two of my most favorite musicians, very nice!
Two of my favorite dudes talking to each other and I get to see it.
I've been a player for 59 years I would give anything to sit down and just chat with these guys. I have thought , what would you talk about home, music, life, touring but more over how they tie together.
That quitar Jack Butler played in the movie Crossroads is at the Hard Rock casino in Biloxi , Miss I look at it often while I'm there !
Guitar legends! 🤘😆🤘Awesome!
This was fantastic! Thank you both for sharing some great stories...
That was just off the charts... Comes to show love for all things music and all things guitar cannot be pigeonholed into "styles". Bravo Joe. Now get the other two Italian shredders on JS and JP !!!
Two of the greatest guitar players that walk the planet together in one video. Thank you Joe for putting this together.
I love these podcasts. THANKS FOR SHARING THIS CONVERSATION, JOE. AMAZING
This is one I have really been looking forward to seeing.
He’s got the chops, the voice, and he has the joy, knowledge and enthusiasm to ask the other gods all of the questions that the uninitiated cannot. I bathe in every episode and come away smarter

Joe you’re an absolute legend and giving back to the community by doing these interviews is just fucking fantastic!
Hello, this is Ralph from Germany.
I have to tell you, that GUITARmusic is not on radio since about 15 Years in my country.
I have students,10 years old.
They burn for electric guitar, and am very glad about that.
What's the situation in US?
Very interresting conversation of 2 well known masters.
Wow this is special!!!
Steve is like a philosopher of the guitar; a great example to follow.
Wow thank u joe love it great so cool
Frank Zappa had a great way of enunciating melodies in a "voice like way"of various scale combinations. Great to see you guys staying busy. Thanks
Hey your r the man another thumbs up from me brother if I can ever get me another guitar I want set down watch an try play along with u amazing man keep up the great job u do from North Carolina
Thank you for doing this Joe &Steve!
enjoyed it. thanx fellas!
That is one of my favorite conversations ever! Two of my favorite people on earth I really appreciated this one!
We love you both... Steve and Joe
Two Icons
Awesome interview... thank you :)
Heroic guitar playing, even better human quality. God has blessed us all to be contemporary with them.
Two guitar Gods!!!
I was in high school when "Crossroads" came out and I went to see it with some friends, me and another one playing guitar at that time. I remember that we laughed our asses off when Steve Vai messed up the last part and lost. It was too obvious! He was playing all the fast parts up and down the neck and the last part was 5 slowly played notes and he couldn't play them right. It WAS obvious, ha, ha! A few years later, early '90s I think, I saw Joe Satriani live and a couple of years later Steve Vai in Athens, Greece. I grabbed a ticket as soon as I saw the posters along with a friend, rare shows like this here, and we were blown away!
Superb 👍🏻
Wow!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your new album, this interview, and touring. Can’t wait to see you on KTBA. The imagery on mind’s eye is fabulous!
Wish I could give multiple thumbs up. Great conversation.
Just great.
This was a real treat. I appreciate your time and efforts.
I’m admittedly a novice when it comes to Steve Vai’s style,
But I appreciate the creativity, the skill, the lightning fast fingers, the music…yes, the CREATIVITY, the SKILL,
The EXPLOSION of sound!
Not that it is necessarily necessary, but I’m certain Steve’s advanced music education plays an enormous role in all this,
....... and GOOD teachers!
Vai is a guitar player, but he's a sound artist:)
His time at berklee and his time in frank zappas band definitely played a part in who he is along with his time taking lessons from satriani
My dearest friend !
Let me give you this message in this way.....
I've seen that our " Spanish nephew " is well and healthy again . He and his band will play a concert soon . Information from FB . All the best for you ! Always in my heart ! ❤️
@@margots.597... Margot, it is so good to hear from you after such a long time. I hope you are doing well. I remember the sadness when your mother passed away, and I hope you have been feeling better. We missed you at every live chat! I’m not sure about our “Spanish nephew”. I really question whether he was the same drummer as in that band. Maybe so, maybe not. But he told me that his actual name was Alejandro. I miss him, and felt very bad to think that he may not have recovered from his illness. Too sad. I hope you are right, and that he is the same drummer that he originally claimed to be, and that he is indeed well. Looking forward to chatting with you in Joe’s next live chat video. Hope the wait is not too long. By the way, I still always smile when I think of “purzelbaum”, LOL, which you taught me!
Hello from Stanford Kentucky.
So amazing Steve Vai❣️and you JOE❤️ Great interview is coming🌹 Thank you JOE❤️
I’ve been waiting a while for this conversation. Well worth the wait. Two guitarists I respect highly finally sharing experiences, ideas and opinions.
Thanks Joe you are such an asset to this world of guitarded guitarists. I play pedal steel!
Another great interview Joe !!
Interview Neal Schon
I think the 2nd or 3rd Nerdville is with Neal Schon (one of my favorites!)
Yes, Pedro Moose is right, Episode #3.

The Italians are the best!
G4 Bonamassa, Vai , luckather , Satriani ❤
Musical Music Man
I'm so curious about it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was such a wonderful chat to watch on a day off! Two of my favorites!
yes!
Steve 🙌
Excellent interview 🤘🏼
Really enjoyed that. Not particularly a fan, but if you're a guitarist, you have to recognize SV is a 'legend of the sport'. Seems like a lovely guy, too.
I have sinus infections as well and covid felt the same for me, too.
Hello from Germany ! ❤
Great interview Joe! Really enjoyed this conversation. I thought the same thing too back when Crossroads came out...ha ha.
Thanks for validating me, Steve! My first "better" guitar was a Univox Les Paul that I bought at Terminal Music Supply (next door to Manny's) on a HS class trip. That was a decent guitar.
This was awesome I wish the interview was longer
Sou seu fã!
Joe we can't hear you as good as Steve on your mic!🎸🎸
This guy is a a level blues player 👇👇👇👇
BJR Joe et Steve.Contente de vous revoir et d entendre vos souvenirs .Il manque un coin de feu de bois ☺ ....!A+🐦🌹 Charline
Will Mr. Vai please post all of the Satch lessons? Will Mr. Bonamassa please post the tapes that Danny Gatton made for him? It would be so beneficial for everyone who is serious about learning Guitar. I know it's a lot to ask but if you're both serious about charity like I know you both are. Then please share these wonderful ideas, tips & things to think about & study. We need this info out in the world & accessible to everyone & anyone who is interested.
That would be the most amazing gift to the world
Awesome episode!
Great. Just great. The best. I mean… really? Two New York Italians talking about music and guitars and nerding out in the grandest of geekery; being watched and listened to by one of both their biggest fans - an Italian from New York (Long Island, to be clear) who nerds out… Probably my favorite bit here today, Joe. And, you’ve given me many great and favorite interviews over the past whatever it’s been. Thanks so much. Kill it on the road. Hope I get to see you out there somewhere and Rock On. Or, Don’t Come Home!! LOL Just kidding. Be Safe!!! Bless You and Your Band. 🎶🎶🌻🌈🌅🎶🎶☮️💙
awesome
Marvellous!
Great interview. So if Steve startled playing at 12, then he was transcribing for Zappa at 18. That means he had only been playing for 6 years. That is amazing
He says he had no natural talent, but I would beg to differ. Still, a lot of hard work to take it to the level he got to in six years.
And Zappa's music most demanding to play. Odd rhythms etc.
It was a lot of fun to watch great players have a conversation for the rest of us.
Great interview 👍
@Official.Joe..Bonamassachat Thank you Sir 👍😎💯
@Official.Joe..Bonamassachat not on the app
@Official.Joe..Bonamassachat you are welcome Bluesman 💯
This was fantastic. Two friends hanging out… 🙏
Yay! Keep doing these Joe we love them! Even if they are only random 😉
You 2 are awesome to listen to. It would be great to hear you play together
You know, Joe, for someone who claims to be socially inept, you write some pretty amazing lyrics. Mind's Eye is my current fave, but I have played Time Clocks about 50 times.
Love ❤️
MMKAY!!!!! Here’s what I think you guys should do; You, Steve Vai and Dweezil Zappa get together and make Frank’s “Catholic Girls’ into a long juicy jam.
Well, that was a privilege to watch. The best interviews are chats, and that was a great chat.
I just love You and You musik i live in Denmark 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💗💗💗💗💗💗💓💓
Wow. Didn't realize these guys love the legendary Tom Waits. Awesome!
You guys should do an album, but in a qualified way. With Steve having played Jack Butler, and Joe referencing Italian Catholicism ,it is very obvious that the Pope would need to sign off on it.
Joe. Thank you for keeping the blues alive!
JOE BONAMASSA IS A DOUCHE BLUES
ua-cam.com/video/yfjt9VakUrY/v-deo.html
Awesome, simply awesome. BUT! Now we need one with Satch to match!
Hello Steve love You too 💕💕💕
AND he loves Waits too?!! Mio amico!!! ⚜️☮️❤️🎶
At 44:45, Steve pushed the nose-bridge of his glasses. I do that, too. I wish I could play guitar like him.
😂
Do you know Joe you’re so right about Steve and Joe Satriani you don’t miss the singer that’s why it seems so natural to listen to these guys I mean I’m a drummer but I’ve always got off on listen to Joe Satriani‘s music and Steve Vai‘s music a matter fact I brag about them to the other musicians in my life
