  • Level your Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra 1500 from front to rear while giving your truck a more aggressive look with Rough Country’s 2-inch Leveling Kit! GM trucks come with a factory rake, leaving the rear much higher than the front. This simple solution raises the front to match the height of the rear, providing a more aggressive appearance and enough increased ride height to run larger tires and wheels.
    Don’t limit your new truck! Rough Country’s GM 1500 Leveling Kit features an upper-strut spacer design which is designed to improve CV boot clearance compared to bottom mount spacers. This design offers better clearance for off-road driving so you can tackle uneven terrain with greater peace of mind. Best of all, Rough Country’s 2-Inch Leveling Kit is designed to retain your vehicle’s smooth, factory ride quality.
    Give your Silverado or Sierra 1500 the aggressive look it deserves with a Rough Country leveling kit. Includes a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee!

    Just finished an install. I could not get upper ball joint separated. I just removed the CV axle from the differential and removed the steering knuckle. This gave me enough room to do the install. Took about 20 m inutes on passenger side. The drivers side took much longer because I could not get the upper ball joint separated. Just thought I would share in case anyone has same issue. Truck looks perfect with 2 inch front lift.

    If i have a lower strut leveling kit 2" u shaped rough country and had it aligned when that was installed and i wanted to swap out to the upper strut because of the lower so close to the axle would i need to have it aligned again?

    Worked on my 1500 Sierra today. Got the driver's side done, can't get the passenger side wire harness off that goes above the top of the strut. The video isn't clear how to take off the bolt that holds it on.
    Any help? I'm stuck

    So why not do the spacers that’s everyone puts on the bottom of the suspension? Easiest and faster install. “American Truck” has a video of putting that on the 19-22 model?

    This is ridiculous you don’t have to do all this just for a 2” leveling kit. See other video of Ready Lift.. it’s WAY easier only like 4 bolts. No major disassemble like this.

    • @35xcherry97
      @35xcherry97 3 роки тому

      With a higher chance of breaking...when it has those longer bolts. A good pothole will snap them in half.

    • @danzurcher7331
      @danzurcher7331 2 роки тому +1

      I agree lol. I’ve put leveling kits on my last 3 GM trucks and I’ve never touched a single ball joint or anything to take them apart. Major disassembly is not required if you know what you’re doing.

      @Rough Country do you consider a strut compressor to be a hand to? I want to do this, but I am concerned about two things... will this level my truck (2020 silverado 1500 Z71 LTZ) or bulldog it? And, will I need to buy a strut compressor?

      @@RoughCountryTV not true. I bought a lifted Avalanche with these nylon type spacers. I noticed it leaning and while replacing the front struts the driver's side had broken into several pieces and collapsed on itself. I will never run any kind of plastic piece as a lift/level again.

    Why does the strut need to be put in a strut compressor and spun 180 degrees.

    • @sebastianaleman2299
      @sebastianaleman2299 4 роки тому +1

      If you only install the leveling spacer on top of the strut and don't rotate it then when you go to install the strut assembly won't line up with the mounting points on top and bottom.
