    I put the 5100's on my AT4, set in the middle ring land. With the 3.0, I'm sitting about 3/8" - 7/16" higher in the front, so still plenty of tow/haul rake, but looks really good.

    When i had my Bilstein 5150 shocks put on i just had them level the front so I'm guessing it was set at the middle or top clip setting on the front struts so i didn't upgrade the control arms but the ride quality was night and day difference over the junk stock shocks and made it handle like a truck should. stock setup was too bouncy or floaty. I've got a 2020 AT4, looking at the Readylift 2 SST with 3" rear block to replace my factory 2" block. I like the rake, aslo adding the Bilstein's F & R, going with the lowest ring setting since I'm already adding a 2" lift.........Bilstein rep is saying you can't use these on a lift, only stock AT4, but I've read numerous post on FB saying you can. Any comment?

    • @DemonWorks
      @DemonWorks  Рік тому

      I don't have direct hands on info for this, but my opinion is that I believe the added lift of just the shocks puts the angles at max function. Any higher would throw the ball joint angles out of whack and possibly further issues from the front axles. This is why the larger lifts will include a spindle, to correct the angles and add lift that way.

    Sorry I always comment with questions after watching your videos. I just did a cognito 2" economy lift front and back with billstein 5100's and cognito UCA. Everything was great, and after about 4k miles I was pulling into a parking spot slowly with the wheel turned the whole way, heard a loud pop and my alignment was off. Went through everything, re torqued everything.... took it to the alignment shop and somehow my toe was pointed in on both sides. Enough to make the steering wheel sit at 10 oclock..... We cannot figure out why this would happen, any suggestion on where I should look? Appreciate it!

    • @DemonWorks
      @DemonWorks  Рік тому +1

      I enjoy the questions, so keep them coming! It sound like you did everything you needed to as far as going over every bolt. If you told me it was just one side that was off, then we would at least know to focus on this side, since it's both, that makes me think it was the steering rack that shifted. That's just a wild guess because there's not much that could happen especially if you went over it all and found nothing. I would for sure take a closer look at everything again as well as the rack bolts and housing.

    • @kingpin16052
      @kingpin16052 Рік тому

      @@DemonWorks I will get to that asap! I asked about the steering rack, but they said I wouldn't be able to drive it if it was the cause... I've had very minor alignment issues while it was under warranty, but the dealer always claimed everything was okay even though they've had to tweak the alignment about 3 times (40k miles in a year). This time it was a loud pop though, so something is up.... If I find out I will report back! Thanks again!

    • @kingpin16052
      @kingpin16052 Рік тому

      @@DemonWorks Interesting find. Rack and pinion are fine, appears no movement and everything is torqued... However, on the drivers side, where I heard the loud pop, and where the toe was the worst.. Somehow where the ride height clip sits and the bottom spring perch is, it appears that it has collapsed by about 1/2". I'm not sure if it is a billstein defect, the cognito spacer that sits there, or possibly my error in installation. Its good to see where the cause is coming from though and no more wondering! I will have to take it all apart when I get some free time. Thanks!
