Nice summary and introduction to limiting in Cubasis
Thanks Thomas :)
Thankyou .
This is great. Really helpful for getting that final clean mix 👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks man :)
Learning so much from this amazing channel.
Glad to hear Renu!
I never thought of using a limiter that way, I have the Fabfilters limiter & obviously the cubasis one, I will try out some out.... 👍🏻
nice video Mr Vortex.. 👍🏻
Fabfilter limiter is truly amazing :)
Great 👏
Thanks!
Hi..Thanks for your video, will limiter work in live performance. As I will be using my midi keyboard with Auv3 in cubasis 3 for iPad. So that I can reduce the loud notes in my VST.
Yes all fx can be applied to real time audio :)
I'm sad my new job schedule is in conflict with all the drops lol I'm sorry ya'll it'll be a minute before you guys see me in the streams again, but I miss you all ! I hope everybody has been doing well, shout out to Tex man ! Keep it going brother !
All good Wasabi we'll miss you man :) Make sure to say wsup in the discord :)
I use brickwall it works to control peak but i can't use limiter with it coz its unbalanced my mix sound so wich was the best option to increase the gain without changing the frequency on the mix
You first want to gain stage everything to make sure no track is competing against any other track, once everything is gain staged and you have a solid enough amount of headroom, you then apply the limiter. Limiters are transparent and only reveal issues that you could not hear before, if you believe the limiter is bringing out frequencies you don't like, you should find out where those are and eq them away before applying a limiter as the limiter is the final step, the final plugin to add on the master track. We have a video on gain staging here ua-cam.com/video/nQbR5eliOhQ/v-deo.html
How does the limiter and brickwall feature work with the master strip plug-in ? Would you still use the limiter ? And that would go before the master strip ? I’m just confused because I see that the limiter can raise the volume of the track but I know the master strip raises the volume as well. So I’m just not sure how it’s all supposed to work together ?
You could use the limiter in addition to the master strip if you want but you don't have to as there is a limiter built into the master strip. Personally I would not use a limiter in addition to the master strip on the master channel.

Ahhhhhh I see. Ok awesome bro. Thanks
Thank you for asking this question, exactly what I wanted to ask, and thanks to MMP for the very clear answer!
💯💯💯👍🏼
Aww yeah thanks Ak!
The brickwall limiter did not work at about 19:00, as the Peek did go over 0 dB!
Perhaps I meant to say instead of going over 0db it simply doesn't clip which is of course the desired end result.
🙌🏾
Thanks Marcus! :)
@@MobileMusicPro you’re welcome
Is Cubasis two limiter much differnet
As I explained in the video cubasis has a regular limiter and a brick limiter, both for different situations.
First off, sorry if I comment more than one time, I've had 2 strokes so I have severe short term memory loss an dont want to forget the questions I have as they come throughout the video lol.. number 1 do you have any idea why some of my plugins didn't come with any factory settings??
All the plugins inside Cubasis should have Default presets.
@@MobileMusicPro okay, what about purchased or downloaded plugins? Like the "fabfilter pro bundle" I got like a month ago for instance, didn't come with any factory presets on anything.. dont get me wrong,(I may be using the wrong term) there are certainly different options inside each plugin but none of them have anything under "factory presets".. only "my presets" or whatever has the ones I've made myself.. apologies if I'm using the wrong verbiage or terms.. again I've never had a lesson, im self taught from ground up..
@@MobileMusicPro any idea why my fabfilter plugins didn't come with any?
@@UziBlancoOfficial Every fabfilter app comes with hundreds of presets.
@@MobileMusicPro mine doesn't have ANYTHING In the factory presets area..
are you supposed to put a limiter on vocals
there's really no right or wrong, some people do some people don't, it all depends on the vocals and the genre of music
I'm doing christian rap music
@@saintrighteous8416 I'd say there's no reason to use a limiter on those vocals, just some light compression and eq, always good to have a limiter on the master track though of course.
o ok thanks
the same as u showed in the video
