Yah definitely give these settings a try, disable that audio engine latency and try to run in 16bit audio and you should be good with a 2018 iPad and above no problem.
On new iPad Pro M1 (5th gen) both class compliant Apogee Mic 96 or Sennheiser MK4 Digital are not recognized even if powered. In addition it is not possibile to change/rise project sample rate (fixed by default @ 48khz). Take notice that the units are fully recognized at 96k/24 bit by Garageband and Apogee Metarecorder apps. Cubasis 3 is @ last version available. Thanks in advance for support. Best regards, F&M
Hey Guys, great info, thanks. you might find this interesting Just reduced the latency on my Casio pg380 midi gtr, by upgrading my old 5 pin each end midi cable with a 5 pin to Usb its an amazing difference
Hi, great video, It helped me a lot! Im struggling with the output latency, its more than 100. Im connected to my casio cs t1 by the Bluetooth midi adapter. Do you know if there is some way to solve this? Thanks in advance!
Generally Bluetooth and music production doesn't generally mix because the latency is so high, as you can imagine we need less than 30ms to be able to play properly. There's been some recent advancements but it's still a difficult challenge to solve so for the moment I can't recommend producing with bluetooth.
Hey Dean! So glad to hear the video helped, happy to answer any questions I can :) I've found that disabling audio latency alone can help alot but then there's also manual latency calibration too for recording vocals.
@@MobileMusicPro - I learned a lot yesterday... I got a Scarlett 18i20 to record drums using the 8 outputs from my Alesis Strike Pro Module. Latency was a huge problem in Cubasis but in addition to that, I had to hook the 18i20 up to a Mac in order to disable the direct monitoring that was also causing me issues. I'm planning on doing a lot of recording in Cubasis going forward so I'll be visiting your channel!
Bro I would really like to know recording audio settings for this I’ve had some issues with this that you’ve helped me with but if it’s different for recording with a microphone I would love to know the settings for that because I do get slight latency and are use a itrck solo interface
If you're talking about recording with FX one way is to get an interface with onboard fx to save on cpu on the ipad, another way is to go to the cubasis audio settings and calibrate the audio recording offset compensation.
@@MobileMusicPro I record vocals at the lowest latency 1.3 I think and I said offset calibration to 2.6 is that not a good idea? And I never have more than 20 tracks so I keep audio engine off
@@MobileMusicPro I have itrack solo I did a calibration it said to disconnect my hardware first so I did that and plugged it back in and it seems to be working much better now the microphone I use is a Aston Origin condenser mic
Love your channel! I have a quick question, why is cubasis 3 doesn't allow me to change sample rate to 44.1? it's set at 48, and pop error messages when I change it down. I tried unplug everything and just run it on ipad withouth any other interfaces, and closed all other apps, but still can't change it.
@@MobileMusicPro my audio interface is an old mbox, it should support 44.1. But I still can’t figure out why. Can I ask one more question? I connected my old mbox to cubasis, it appears the input is in the daw as I can see on the mixer page there’s sound, and when I sing, I can hear my voice coming from the PA. however, the inserted effect is not functional, when I had them turned on. The output is not coming back to mbox and then to the PA, because when I hit play in cubasis 3, only the iPad is making the sound. Any idea? Thank you
@@bczzy_cafe I'm not exactly sure what's going on but there's a couple things you can check, the first is the input gain level in the audio section of the setup options, and then you can also apply effects pre and post fader by tapping and holding on the blue line underneath the bottom effect in insert effects and then dragging that line up or down.
3:26 - Sample rates!! Using an external ADDA into the IPAD -you can now go to 96K 32bit sample rates - 5:07 Debatable - Working at higher sample rates / bit depth is best for recording / editing - THEN you can mixdown to 44.1kHz 16 bits for STREAMING SERVICES ! CDs - who uses CDs???? - OR to 48kHz 24bits for video (Luma Fusion / iPad) - or to a 48kHz 320kbps MP3 file
I’m running cubasis 3 through a 2i2 on a chromebook and there’s no option to change the latency as far as I can see. Running my modeller through the 2i2 records fine but the lag is horrendous when listening back. Any ideas on how to fix the latency issue?
Yah chromebooks and android devices have the worst latency for music processing. Highly recommend a used iOS device instead. We got a video on how to find cheap ipads here ua-cam.com/video/Tu33VVSmbyg/v-deo.html
69.7 total Latency and seems Cubasis 3 knows how to run making any changes makes it worse casio ct-s1 usb micro to usb c wire into samung tab s9 ultra ... could it be the usb wire ? would it be better to run from headphone out ? I am 2 years ahead of you and I am sitting like I am in 1999 lagggggggggg yeah data transfer rate up to 480 Mbps with the wire that's not very fast

Appreciate the feedback sir! Maybe if you have a specific question I can still answer it?

Very interesting. Make sure to pass this onto the Cubasis 3 forum as well. Using the Focusrite over here and I'm able to change it to 96/24.
