Hey bro, is there a way to "send audio signal from the channel it's on to a blank channel" in cubasis 3? Like I'm seeing all these awesome mixing tricks ect. An there saying to send the audio signal from the channel it's on to a blank channel an then add effect ect. I'm just wondering if it's possible to do in cubasis 3 an ifso, how do you do it???

Great Walkthrough! I think the metronome only while recording is a big improvement, even tho it’s *technically* small. It’s a nice workflow refinement. The quick actions + the status bar toggle in the menu is also nice. Even though it isn’t the *ultimate* super update everyone wanted, these are important steps forward overall. Hopefully 2023 brings more updates from them. It’s good to see them active, and listening. Great video!
Totally agree! This really was more of a maintenance update but still the features are very welcome no matter how small. Will be really interesting to see where everything is by end of 2023.

Hi Vortex. I like the grid, the hub and the mouse scroll will be useful when I get a mouse/trackpad for iPad. Although, new project isn't much use to me as I like to load a duplicate of a blank, custom project. The metronome noises are also nice for variety. I guess we'll have to hope for bigger features in the next update. Cheers.
Absolutely! Back in 2019 iPad officially released mouse and kb support, so not only can you use the mouse you can also use kb shortcuts like the space bar for play/stop. Tune into one of our livestreams and you can see I pretty much only use the mouse when in studio.
I’m interested in the drum app “X Drummer” by Positive grid. Do you know if it’s possible to use that app in Cubasis 3 like a Virtual instrument?..like you would do with Ez Drummer on a desktop Cheers!😊
So there are alot of apps that you can use directly inside of Cubasis as AUv3s which is just like VSTs on the desktop. However with this particular app you'd have to connect it to your DAW via AudioBus and run the app separate from your DAW. This process will still work completely fine though for getting your audio and midi into your DAW in real time. You can always export your stems though too from the app and then import those back into Cubasis.
Honestly both are really great products but if you are going to be using cubasis might as well grab the steinberg :) What's great though is the iPad is compatible with any class complaint mic which means it can support the cheapest mics all the way up to the ten thousand dollar mics if anyone ever actually wanted to try that lol.

@@smokiest Like I said they'll be about the same, even the built in mic in the iphone x and ipad 2020s are amazing these days. The source doesn't usually matter quite as much as the production when it comes to vocals, many hit songs were recorded in bathrooms with cheap mics back before budget mics like apogee existed. Might as well go with the steinberg if you'll be using Cubasis 3.
Love your vids Vortex & this app however still having Latency issues with bluetooth, unless I'm missing something? Was in the market for a pair of wireless buds, ended up going wired due to the latency
Ahh strange, yah a couple people have DMed me saying they can finally use their bluetooth headphones and they're loving it so not sure what the issue would be there as I don't personally own any bluetooth headphones.
Do you know if there is the same function that you have in Ableton called WARP or Flex time in logic? where do we adjust the tempo of the music by time? he can slice the music for time...
There is absolutely a time stretch option in Cubasis, simply tap on an audio clip and then tap the "STRETCH" button at the top next to the undo button, and then choose the Pro algorithm and then simply tap the corners of the audio clip to drag it longer or shorter.
@@MobileMusicPro I tried here but it doesn't create the transients within the measure, from what I understand it only creates them at the beginning and end. Am I doing it wrong?
@@Leonardodelimaalves Not sure what you mean by creating the transients but you can certainly timestretch both audio and midi clips to any bpm by following the previously mentioned instructions. Just make sure the project is in your desired bpm so when you timestretch the clip you can snap it to the grid.

@@Leonardodelimaalves Yah it's hard when things are not recorded to a metronome to get them aligned exactly on grid. You can certainly try time stretching things but it's a manual and tedious process. I know there's automated tools on the desktop that can do it but nothing automated comes to mind on iOS. Though you can still try giving it a shot on logic pro since that's on iPad now. If you do end up going that route I recommend checking out the logic pro guide youtube channel here www.youtube.com/@TheLogicProGuide
Still having problems with the new update. if i try to load in a new track it will come up funny like the tracks can't put anything down. if you watch Doug video he's having the same problem. i've tried it with a recent one and it does the same. even if i press on the icon and do it that way it does the same thing. Also it keeps coming up sometimes that the auv3 is missing doesn't say which one. Also still having the same problem with the default equaliser. If you move it about to change it all the line that goes through the middle goes haywire. Haven't come across any other problems yet but see how it goes. 👍 forgot to say I also noticed sometimes it will just crash for no reason. never used to do it before the update
Hey Joshua, sorry to hear you're having some issues. That weird EQ but is so strange to still be in there after all this time for sure. Make sure of course to report any issues and hopefully they'll be addressed in a hot fix.

I've just tried some other things and tried freezing tracks. it won't do that properly also classic machines don't play properly if you copy and paste another bit on it won't even play that and when you freeze it you just get a horrible noise.. I wish I just listen to my head. when it said don't update because everything was working fine before they update.
This is true! Personally I don't really ever add more than 5 or 6 but it would be nice to have the flexibility. I believe they've done this to make sure the app is still stable on older iPads.
Phew, very poorly solved by Steinberg... why can't I copy all the tracks using drag & drop like Logic Pro (iPad version)? They are saved in the audio area under "Media" instead of in the Daw... who wants to add 30 or more tracks all individually?
@@MobileMusicPro This is a really stupid solution. Maybe there will be an update or maybe Cubasis 4. Logic Pro has solved this better, but it's a subscription model and I otherwise get along better with Cubasis haha
