'Domination' LIVE is the usual BAND-MAID into video. However, if you want an OMV 'Shambles' would be a good one. Check out the BAND-MAID Documentary series by Orange. She has on for every member and two for Miku. But the only thing that BabyMetal have in common is they're both Japanese Female Fronted Groups. They started around the same time, but are about 10 years younger than BAND-MAID. It was started as a label vehicle for lead singer SuMetal. They have a backing band the Kami Band, all legit Metal Players. I prefer their early stuff back when YuiMetal was with them before Mikio Fujioka's death. For instance try the OMV for 'Karate', the LIVE version of 'Road Of Resistance' and the LIVE Compilation of 'Catch Me If You Can'.

Maybe a 6.5 from me. What I like the most is that it “feels” like their stuff. There’s a certain complexity in Maid songs that is like a fingerprint. Akane’s half time choruses; double time at the back half of outros. Kanami’s tremolo picking and slides. Saiki’s melody choices into her lower register. There’s a million ways detect Band Maid DNA in their songs. You nailed that they are a musician’s band. Plenty of pro artists are big admirers of our Maids. You’ll see that the more you explore. Lots of old Rush fans also easily find them just as fascinating. Quick note: don’t be ashamed of the flute, dude! We all started somewhere. I feel like this song is a question to rock fans and the music industry who have forgotten about rock music. I wonder if this Alone is how they feel when they stand on their own with their own strength.

Anyway, once they were left "Alone" by their record / management companies to create what they wanted, well... look what they did. Alone's somewhat sad, heavy yet empowering story (topics Miku's known for writing about), up against Kanami's up-tempo, complex yet rockin' music is quintessential Band-Maid. BAND-MAID is an important influence and contributor to the music industry with a continuous, growing worldwide fanbase. But to me, they are just the best sounding, best writers of hard rock music, and the most fun, joyous group of musicians to come along since the Beatles! Thx, guys!
