@@TheThamesmen that’s a frequent complaint from this concert. I’m not sure whether Kanami asked for her guitar to be lower in the mix because she’s so modest or if it’s because they used more ambient micing to capture the audience and it washed the guitar out a bit. In either case, I think the 2017 Shinkiba Studio Coast concert videos sound better. Unfortunately, when they switched labels last year the old label purged most of the old live videos.
BAND‐MAID is reminding me of the rock I left before 50. I love to see the reactions of people who have heard real rock like you guys. However, there are very few Japanese reactions, and as a Japanese, I can only understand fragments of the content. Even so, I enjoy just watching the smiles. I would like to request Live Manners, BLACK HOLE.
Why did bandmade record a song with title "black hole"...same name song as The Warning? bandmade also has a song called 'warning"...hmmmmm...sounds sneaky/tricky/ to me. I believe they're being buttholes about this...hoping when people type in "black hole" or "The Warning" that some people will land on their video instead. I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THIS MUCH; THE WARNING AINT GONNA NAME A SONG "bandmade" or "freedom."
@@Metal_Auditor negative...The Warning recorded Black Hole several years ago...and bandmade recorded "black hole" & "warning" pretty recently. nice try though. bandmade is a badass band, I just can't hardly listen to their singer very long...really irritating to me. I play bass and I like bandmade's bass player & drummer!
@@TheThamesmen in the official live video for "Play" Akane (drummer) actually manages to make Saiki (lead singer) laugh her way through some of the lyrics.
They are 5 happy Ninjas that will Melt your face off! For me, the two best bands on the planet, that are saving the pure Rock Genre are Band-Maid and The Warning! The ladies from outside America are killing it!
According to recent polls, 100% of the 4 out of 5 dentists that agree with the 9.4 out of 10 economists that unanimously contend that Rock Music is the #1 most consumed import into the USA. 🧐
BANDMAID - 2021 live songs No God, Thrill, After Life, Warning, Manners, Dice, Different. LOVEBITES - 2021 live songs Set The World On Fire, Dont Bite The Dust, Spellbound, Today Is The Day, Winds Of Transylvania, another all female Japanese Metal Band, NEMOPHILA - 2021 songs Revive, Blooming, Dissension, Raitei(Thunder) HANABIE - songs We Love Sweets(Japanese Jinjer), LCG, Reiwa App.
This is another great "basic" Band Maid song, they only get better the more you dive into their catalog. Great musicians, great performers and great group. They stand out in every way.
I thought this was going to be an episode of Benny Hill. Oh, well. These ladies played 777 Valencia in SF in 2018 and the Echoplex in LA on September 30, 2019. I caught the Echoplex show. In concert mind blowing. The band's founder Miku Kobato worked at a Maid Café where she got the idea of serving up good music instead of good food. That is where the Maid theme comes from. Angus Young has worn a schoolboy uniform for 50 years. These ladies can certainly wear a maid uniform for the next 30. The songwriting machine of Kobato-Tono is now rivaling Lennon-McCartney as the most prolific songwriting team of this millennium. They write, arrange, perform and produce their own original compositions since the release of Alone. With over 115 recorded tunes since 2014 (group formed in 2013) you haven't begun to scratch the surface. In many of our opinions Band-Maid is the best and most complete "indie" band since those four scousers called it quits back in 1970. BTW their world wide fan base are called Maidiacs. They have done five on line concerts on line due to the pandemic with people in 69 countries tuning in. There appeal is worldwide spanning all cultures and people and there is a damn good reason why. Sacramento loves Band-Maid. Thanks for helping to promote them. It is appreciated. Best regards.
Welcome aboard, Thamesmen. You are embarking on (along with many others - 120 million YT views!) an awesome hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women. Here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid:
BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (over 100 songs with their latest album, “Unseen World”), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom. Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off the rails spectacular. Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 70 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ua-cam.com/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/v-deo.html Their later songs from albums Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Warning, No God, H-G-K, Black Hole, Different, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Glory, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on. But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts! And many are represented with nearly 40 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts. Tokyo's LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on February 14th (“Domination” ua-cam.com/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/v-deo.html), ZEPP 2018, Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 (bandmaidprime.tokyo) and some of the better 2019 tour Fan vids are excellent. Here’s four of what it’s like to see Band-Maid LIVE at super intimate venues. These two taken by Vladimir Chupin in Hamburg: ua-cam.com/video/__1th7ctgMo/v-deo.html, and a fun, wonderful live performance in Amsterdam of Miku introducing "Don't You Tell Me" (with MISA & Kanami's great instrumental exchange) and "Turn Me On” (with MISA's solo intro): ua-cam.com/video/kfYQoWBlSpk/v-deo.html. If you like Band-Maid, make sure to support them by purchasing some concert tickets, CD, DVD/BD & Merch, etc. bandmaid.tokyo Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009 Band-Maid members are: Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 27 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen! Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 30 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!! Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 30 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more! Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 30 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 29 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note.. uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA! Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans. @@GaryHolloway-810 If she wore a maid costume at home, it would be her private costume, not the Band-Maid costume. Their maid costumes are soaking wet by sweat right after a concert, so they take off their costume in the change room. At least that is what I heard from Mincho ...or from Sai-chan🙄
@@K.H.D710 Who am i to doubt you Mr K. If you say that's what they do, then that's what they do. I only do their hair & dress them so i'm not there post show.😏
Yeah, watching their interactions with each other made this for me. It's very clear they can play superbly, but it's great to see them together, in the past I've thought some of these bands were a bit precious, all finesse and no soul but this was great, happy to be wrong. Some first class wibble from you two, The Wibbles of Wombleton for the next channel? More please!
Brilliant!. And very funny. This is probably the happiest band in the world. If you have been wanting a bass solo, I recommend their song No God (live video). Outstanding. Probably from that moment on you will begin to suspect that these girls have more than one Krakatoa Banger in their repertoire.
I grew up in Maidenhead and had a good laugh to see the old Thames TV intro haha. What a great band. Their official LIVE concert videos from that (and older) concerts are outstanding. Hope you lads get a chance to see more ;)
@@helenespaulding7562 The starting graphic drop (the skyline of London) and sound are from the Thames TV channel of at least the 70s, and maybe into the early 80s that was a common segue for shows.
Running answered the question BUT for those of an age just the noise / the music transports us back to to our youth and George and I are making low budget / light entertainment shite programs... so it's perfect for us!!
Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin caught a performance of Band-Maid in Tokyo and asked for a photo-op with their drummer, Akane Hirose. Reportedly he told her that she was like a reincarnation of John Bonham.
THE best live Rock band in the galaxy. And, in 2.5 million years, Andromeda too. They also released a new song/MV today, 'Sense'. It is, of course, excellent.
Great reaction. This clip of "freedom" never fails to bring a smile on viewers' faces, as the joy the band exudes while playing is super infectious. But I have to ask : since when does Nick Frost call himself George?
Cheers Thamesmen. 🍺 I believe you should treat yourselves to more Band-Maid. They are their own genre. ONSET-LIVE is a creative instrumental for the ages. Hope to see you soon. Peace.
Best band on the planet. New song (sence) 4pm today. Played 20 countries including USA. Massive following and getting bigger. The girls crowd around the drummer to try and put her off cos she never misses lol. Plus misa on bass has jd as her stage drink lol. They do 2hr shows.
Yes, these ladies rock, & I would love them more if I were single! LOL...It's 2:30 am here in Texas, If you Thamesmen Pythons wanna send us Texans music at 2:30 am, next time make it The Warning! (ha...y'all can't slap me with a fish because I'm too far across the 'ole pond!) 🏊
You've only heard their pop-rock part yet. If you like simple hard rock: 'Manners' , 'Thrill' , 'Dice' If you want to know their skill level: 'Onset' , 'Without Holeding Back' If you like sentimental songs: 'About Us' , ' Daydreaming' If you want to hear New style of Rock: 'Sense' , 'Blooming' , 'Secret My Lips' If you want to know their creativity of Prog Rock: 'No God' , 'Black Hole' , 'Giovanni'...more..more..
Best band on the planet... You have only done 2... You have so many more to do, If you want bass try Play, or take me higher.. Another one for you to try on your Japanese lady band trip is Gecharic spin try the song "Mindset" if you think you are up to it.. :) Best wishes from France...
What an articulate and enjoyable channel you two have created. One of my favorite reactions yet!!! Thank you. I'm sure it has been said that Jimmy Paige himself was in Japan and was checking out one of their shows. He was taken with the drumming so much (his drummer bar is rather high btw after playing the majority of his career with JB) . . After he went backstage and requested to meet Akane (the drummer). When she was told he wished to meet her, she did not believe it and thought it was a prank. Sure enough, there is a picture to prove it really happened. :)
Ah, yes, the outfits. To make a short story long, Miku (rhythm guitar/backing vocals/lyricist) had worked in maid cafes and thought that a band dressed in outfits associated with sexy submissiveness playing hard, in-your-face rock would be a great hook. Kanami (lead guitar/songwriter/principal arranger) loved the idea, largely because she has no fashion sense and this way she never had to worry about what to wear on stage. Akane (drummer) thought the idea was dumb but fun, but didn't like how the costume restricted her movement. MISA (bass) hated the costumes, and almost didn't join because of them. After MISA's reaction, Miku only told Saiki (lead vocals) that they would wear 'cute costumes ' when performing. Saiki was horrified when she saw them, not because they were maid uniforms, but because they were boring and dowdy (Saiki is quite the fashionista). Eventually, things came to a head, and Akane (the leader the band doesn't have) decreed that everyone could design their own outfits, as long as they stuck to the maid theme. Kanami kept the traditional maid outfit. Miku started heading into cosplay maid territory, like she owned stock in the ruffle-and-flounce factory. Akane initially ditched the apron, shortened the skirt, and ripped out the shoulder seams of the blouse. Later, Miku helped her make a black and white jumper that suggests a maid uniform while leaving her limbs totally free. Saiki took a head housekeeper 's uniform, sexed it up, and emerged looking like a sexy dominatrix head maid. And MISA showed up in a black dress, claiming it was a Croatian maid uniform. Or maybe Lithuanian. She finally went with Ninja maid uniform, because 'you'll never see her cleaning. '
The whole concept in Japan is called _"the gap"_ you see these five girls all dressed up nice and cute, but then proceed to Rock out harder than most of the boys! _Ps- Many official Band Maid videos have English subtitles, so it always pays to check._
Theres no getting around how amazing they are- and that their bassist and drummer are incredible :) And their lead is super good too! And rythmn backing vocalist is no slouch either these days :) They also are super creative in their compositions yet remain catchy!
Great reaction guys these girls are one of my favorite bands from Japan. Check out a band called Ningen Isu/ Heartless Scat. You will be blown away 100% positive., as always great show.
Very, very happy that you got back to Band-Maid. Freedom is a good one to watch because of Akane's solo and the infectious fun they are having. Their music, however, has gotten so much better. Their most recent album, Unseen World, will eventually be considered a classic. Kanami, the lead guitarist and sole songwriter, is very experimental in her music. This experimentation along with her eccentric personality and seeming musical genius, reminds me a bit of David Bowie. Of the many next song recommendations that will likely pile up, on the top of my list would be their live performance of Onset, the MV of Warning or the recent live performance of Manners/Black Hole (two songs for the price of one). All written by Kanami.
Well done guys for returning. If I can't have Nightwish then Band Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila or Gacharic Spin will do nicely. Worth listening to Band Maids composite video of Manners and Black Hole for some serious musicianship.
@@TheThamesmen . All three are excellent. Lovebites are a heavy metal band with twin lead guitarists. They take inspiration from 80s British metal bands. Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, with some occasional Slayer thrown in. Nemophila is a new band formed from veterans of other good metal/hard rock bands. Twin leads again. They seem to still be searching for their voice. In addition to their original material, they live recorded a LOT of covers of songs they like in their rehearsal space. I really like them. Mayu may have the best rock voice in Japan. Gacaric Spin are hard to categorize. Punk pop/rock/fusion/funk. It also depends on which version of the band you listen to. They've gone from having a lead singer, to the drummer and keys sharing vocals, to the current set-up. They hired a new singer and new drummer, the old drummer, Hana, has moved to rhythm guitar. The musicianship here is outstanding. F Chopper is a ridiculously great Bass Player. Also check out Unlucky Morpheus and Wagaki Band....no hints. They are a suprise.
LOVED this track and LOVE them. As far as what they wear-it’s cosplay which either you’re into or not. Being geeky, I’m into it, so double win for me ☺️
Bad luck to go 3 weeks between reactions then upload this on the very day they release a brand-new MV. This song has become a fan favourite because they can play this in their sleep and so they can act like goofballs the whole time which is pretty entertaining. I hope you will continue to do Band-Maid because I'd love to see what you think of how much they've grown since the two songs you've heard. Have a great day!
These ladies have talent and ability off the scale. This was an early song, good as it is; the latest material is vastly more complex and melodic. They are just the best band om the planet.
PLAY - Live version - ua-cam.com/video/3LxX_t4vg7U/v-deo.html - has a bass intro that is typical of MISA. Also - MANNERS Live version with BLACK HOLE (same live) and DICE Live or MV are great bass - well they all are really. Just listen to more BAND MAID! KANAMI TONO - LEAD GUITAR - Plays classical piano since the age of 3. Writes the music on Acoustic Guitar or Piano MISA and AKANE contribute to the music. Miku Kobato - RHYTHM GUITAR - Originated the band and brought all the members together. Has only been playing guitar for about 7 years. Was the lead singer but took a back seat voluntarily! Misa - BASS GUITAR - Switches from pick to slap in the same song. - Played electric guitar in other bands before switching to Bass. Akane Hirose - DRUMS - Jimmy Page was impressed enough to meet her back stage. - Plays trumpet and DJ's on the side. Saiki - VOCALS - Plays classical piano from an early age. For everyone to see the beginning of BAND MAID - An early TV interview on Japanese TV - ua-cam.com/video/YzWETTu-4iE/v-deo.html SAIKI did not like the APRON on the outfit! - ua-cam.com/video/tQPIvADL42k/v-deo.html - as she said in the previous interview "passhut!" This is Miku's page from when she worked at the cafe - www.cafe-athome.com/maid-blog/maid/himawari And by the cafe, I mean that very cafe.
I think Misa thinks of bass in Jazz terms but in rock. She doesn't just do just a simple rhythm. There's some songs where I swear each of them is doing a solo at the same time but somehow through their Maid-Magic it comes together as one. If you liked Freedom and Domination, you will love Onset. It's one of their instrumentals where they are showing off their fantastic skills. Misa has an awesome ability to palm the pick and go back and forth rom it to slap bass. Really though any of their live stuff is pretty good. Even the online-live show's they did recently. Their new stuff gets harder though. I recommend Manners. It's American blues-rock kicked up a few notches.
@@TheThamesmen And I learned about boots! lol. I enjoyed the banter. BTW they just came out with a new video today! It's like twice the speed of what you've heard so far though.
I would recommend their song Rinne. It is one of their heavier, more metal-ish songs and the music video is super cool as well. Also now that you've returned to Band-Maid, you should get back to Lovebites as well.
@@TheThamesmen if you do Rinne (which is a great hard metal-ish song) be sure to do the music video, not the live recording. The live version is a shortened version for TV that loses a whole verse
This song was from their third album, and while the lyrics were written by Miku Kobato (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), the music was written by another artist. It was their fourth album before they really got creative control, and since then they have been delving deeper into the unconventional, especially on their last (seventh) album released this year. I don’t remember who, but another reactor who’s done some songs from the last album said that this band have advanced rock music ten years. The ever-brilliant Chase Carneson has repeatedly noted this band for how important they have been to the development of rock music in recent years.
Not MISA's bass solos! They are sublime. And BAND-MAID are a genre unto themselves. They shapeshift from one song to another, sometimes within the same song. If you want a real Banger try 'Real Existence' LIVE next. You won't be disappointed.
Oh if you want a Bass solo, Band Maid has plenty of them. Check out Onset (Live) for an amazing instrumental song, or No God (Live) for some crazy Bass parts.
Damn i left my hilarious🙄 Chuck comment & it's gone. I'll try again, i will not be defeated. Scratch that, i tried again & it's already gone. i am defeated.😆
You gentleman should listen to ONSET, an instrumental. I would also suggest the live, online version of DICE, MANNERS and BLACK HOLE. Those would give you a good cross reference of their capabilities as those songs are totally different. Even if you don't do a reaction listen to them anyway. Top it off with ABOUT US, a song written for the fans, for something totally off the grid. Everything they do is different but still has their sound.
Yo guys. You're a bit entertaining. I like it. Band-Maid is infectious. No doubt. Their songs always leave you wanting more. Even after 810 listens. Now try ONSET-LIVE for an instrumental with solos all around, REAL EXISTENCE-LIVE for more fun than should be allowed. Band-Maid never let's you down. BAND-MAID is Awesome and Fun. Peace.
Another cracking song from Band-Maid. I can't believe the hate you guys put on bass players, at least Misa is using a 5 string here. I'll keep this short as I wasted enough of your time in my comment on Domination. Speaking of your reaction to Domination, Alex made a comment about "imagine seeing them live" (or something like that), well, the good news is that you could if you wanted. Band-Maid are having a US tour later this year and play at August hall in SF on October 14. Band-Maid didn't want to leave George out either, so he can see them the following night in LA, at The Belasco. (You might have to buy tickets off-market as I think the shows are sold out). Anyway, a great reaction. keep the good stuff coming.
A video clip for you to enjoy, "Saiki's Bear". It will make you want to see them Live even more. (no need to react just watch) Okay, explanation of their Maid costumes. There are several hundred rock/metal bands in Japan, so getting noticed can be a challenge. So bands utilize "the Gap" meaning the difference in what you are seeing, demure maid vs what you are hearing hard rock. Now that they internationally famous and popular they standout even more. Talented, professional and beautiful.
Great reaction guys...band maid it's incredible band...please react DOMINATION live 2021....PLAY live 2021..ONSET live 2018 (crazy instrumental song)..MANNERS ..official video..100%

Ya miiiiight want to listen to "no God" live from these girls. I have the vague feeling that you'll change your mind on bass solos. MISA is a proper monster on the bass.
You want suggestions, I think Hawkwind are overdue a revisit. How about Master of The Universe, from Space Ritual; maybe D-Rider from Hall of the Mountain Grill; or whatever you like George, I more than trust your taste in this particular area. ;)
NEMOPHILA : REVIVE. THIS WILL GET TONS OF REQUESTS. THE JWAVE HAS JUST BEGUN FOR YOU GUYS. BTW, BM PERFORMANCES ARE CALLED SERVICES AND THEY CALL GUESTS MASTERS AND PRINCESSES. MIKU MAGIC TIME VIDEOS ARE DELIGHTFUL MAID CAFE AUDIENCE BLESSINGS WITH MAXIMUM PARTIPATION. MOST JBANDS GIVE FULL ENTERTAINMENT VALUE WITH A COSTUME THEME.
The maid costumes is meant to counterpoint a Japanese cultural trope. The whole "maid" trope invokes a very specific expectation in a Japanese audience. When you see girls up on stage dressed as maids, you expect to hear either bubble-gum pop or cutesy "idol" music. With Band-Maid, instead you get in your face hard rock... which is rather unexpected. The mental dissonance you get with that is called "The Gap": the clash between expectations of what you see and what you are actually hearing.
Fun track to listen to. Find it’s hard to get a feel when you do not understand the words Would give them another listen. Tilted kilt also has their own beer
Yep. You are right and we have rewind week two scheduled. Actually we needed a recording break as we kinda over did it..... Pushing a band a day. We got exhausted.
Love a bit of Band-Maid but i have a special song for you that you might like. New band (to your channel) from Germany 'Faun' with their just released song 'Halloween'. Hello. I’m sorry we can’t. We are really old friends who love to chat. There’s so many reaction channels to choose from, I’m sure you will find what you’re looking for. Be safe
That was actually played live. They *really* are that good and tight as a band. "Freedom" is, afaik, also one of the few songs they didn't write themselves they still play during concerts as they enjoy it very much (as can be seen in the clip;), their own stuff, especially newer material, is a bit harder. If you feel like checking out their "range" (ballads not included), watch this two song clip from their latest online concert: ( ua-cam.com/video/iaf94nNSRGE/v-deo.html ). The first song is a mid-tempo classic rock, Lenny Krawitz'y track, the second one is prog-rock on speed. Oh .. and both have subtitles (lyrics were writen by Miku Kobato, second vocals/rhythm, music by Kanami Tono, Lead guitar)
Truth be told Alden I think the had trigger back tracks as I heard piano being played at times, BUT, all bans no have sequenced parts and the drummer plays to a click. It's standard but does NOT mean they are not playing... that they are doing. Also thanks or being here and supporting our little channel.
@@TheThamesmen oh yeah.. they definitely have a backing track. Actually, during their Feb.11th online concert (which was supposed to be live@Budokan but had to be relegated to online thanks to Covid restriction) the backing track was out of sync during a song, which led to a 20mn banter session on stage while the audio guys tried to fix the file. When that didn't succeed the girls just shrugged it off and played without :)
That's ok Alden everyone has there own opinion. We will let you get back to listening to Bieber and and the rest of us will keep listening to real musicians. Have a lovely day.🤘🤘
You won't hear a Band-Maid fan complain about a bass solo.
"It's too short, dammit!"
Don't you tell me... ;)
"The problem" with Band-Maid is they are ALL SO GOOD!!! We would enjoy an solo from everyone... :)
i wish the solo's were LOUDER!
Thanks - It was so far back in the mix I wasn't sure... Thanks for this

BAND-MAID is still kicking ass. Check out FROM NOW ON.
@@mayday8602
My English is not good enough to understand. Thank you for your time. Good-bye.
@@mayday8602 maybe BAND-MAID were wanting to subtly introduce their fans to The Warning.
@@mayday8602 that’s what I mean. I’m wondering if maybe BAND-MAID titled those songs as references to The Warning’s name and music.

This is another great "basic" Band Maid song, they only get better the more you dive into their catalog. Great musicians, great performers and great group. They stand out in every way.
Agreed! Thanks for being here and supporting our lite channel!

I second this declaration!
And many are represented with nearly 40 well produced music videos. ua-cam.com/users/BANDMAID
Most performances should be experienced from their LIVE audience & online OKYU-JI concerts. Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. For fun, check out an awesome, little known "Mega Band-Maid Mix" by DJ Ray of some of their earlier stuff: facebook.com/djrayboston/videos/1004709499579009
Band-Maid members are:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies.

Maid costumes are Miku's idea. Miku (rhythm guitar/lyricist) is the band founder, and she used to work at a maid cafe and loves maid costumes.
Mr K i like their Maid costumes too. 🤫Shh don't tell anybody but kanami doesn't change out of her costume even when she's at home....probably :)

I'm sure it has been said that Jimmy Paige himself was in Japan and was checking out one of their shows. He was taken with the drumming so much (his drummer bar is rather high btw after playing the majority of his career with JB) . .

Thanks and hope you are well!!

I want one of those outfits for George to wear! It would look ace. Also thanks or being here and supporting our little channel.
The whole concept in Japan is called _"the gap"_ you see these five girls all dressed up nice and cute, but then proceed to Rock out harder than most of the boys! _Ps- Many official Band Maid videos have English subtitles, so it always pays to check._
Good call on subtitles. We need to check that more often

Hello Chile!! Stay warm!
@@TheThamesmen 😎😁
Great information thank you for the guidance. We look forward to checking out more material
Great choice.
be well!!!! Thanks for being here and supporting our little channel!
Well done guys for returning. If I can't have Nightwish then Band Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila or Gacharic Spin will do nicely. Worth listening to Band Maids composite video of Manners and Black Hole for some serious musicianship.
New bands I haven't heard = Thanks
Being geeky, I’m into it, so double win for me ☺️
Well said!
We will do!! Be well
These ladies have talent and ability off the scale.

She's amazing....Also thanks or being here and supporting our little channel.
Thanks Noted, Also thanks or being here and supporting our little channel.
Thats pretty cool!!
Not MISA's bass solos! They are sublime. And BAND-MAID are a genre unto themselves. They shapeshift from one song to another, sometimes within the same song. If you want a real Banger try 'Real Existence' LIVE next. You won't be disappointed.

You gentleman should listen to ONSET, an instrumental. I would also suggest the live, online version of DICE, MANNERS and BLACK HOLE. Those would give you a good cross reference of their capabilities as those songs are totally different. Even if you don't do a reaction listen to them anyway.
(no need to react just watch)
Okay, explanation of their Maid costumes.
Cool, thanks!
The top bands right now in Female rock/Metal are Bandmaid. Lovebites, and Trident. Period! LOL...My take.
Don't forget Nemophila. 🤘😎
At least they're one of few image-bands, where it coinsides with the name...
True
If you guys would like to hear some crazy bass from MISA, I highly recommend 'No God'
Got it. Thank you
Great banter it really is. ;-)
thanks Martin - It annoys some people but we can't help it

Excellent seems like we have a lot of choices. Thank you
MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin, Akane Hirose (aka) Gorilla is the happiest Drummer on the planet , Jimmy Paige ( Led Zeppelin ) approved .

For a Misa bass solo you should watch 'No God' live next.
Ok noted. Thanks for being here and supporting our lite channel!
The baseline of『BAND-MAID / DICE (Official Music Video) 』 is the best・・・ Please ask it once.
Perfect. Thank you for the help
Please watch Band-Maid’s live version of Onset. You’ll love it!!!

THANKS JIM
Ya miiiiight want to listen to "no God" live from these girls. I have the vague feeling that you'll change your mind on bass solos. MISA is a proper monster on the bass.
OK. Will check. Also thanks or being here and supporting our little channel.
BAND-MAID are leading the way but don't overlook NEMOPHILA they are really good.
That name keeps coming up I think we better check it out at some point
You want suggestions, I think Hawkwind are overdue a revisit. How about Master of The Universe, from Space Ritual; maybe D-Rider from Hall of the Mountain Grill; or whatever you like George, I more than trust your taste in this particular area. ;)
Hello. It’s Alex here. Hawkwind fanatic. We Steve, are a dying breed. That’s the issue. We love them but no one else does
Think of Band Maid costumes like those of KISS - except that when they take them off you don't want to throw up.
Good information thanks for the help
You need to listen to Onset live for a bass solo, or Dice.
Got it thank you
PLEASE react to another finnish band. BATTLE BEAST - Masters Of Illusion official music video 2021. NOORA LOUHIMO super voice.
We are super busy but promise to check!!! Thanks for being here and supporting our little channel!

Never been to Feltham but always wary of going to Oldham.
Good job they did nt go to Cocking west Sussex England.
I make a special effort to avoid Pratt's Bottom.
HA HA..... Thanks for being here and supporting our little channel!
Or scratch me knob
@@TheThamesmen I'd rather Cockermouth
....but what is a jodhpur?
How bout The WARNING opening up for BAND MAID!!!!
Whatever it is it works really well. They certainly rock
Fun track to listen to. Find it’s hard to get a feel when you do not understand the words
Would give them another listen.
Tilted kilt also has their own beer

Didn’t Bandmaid come in third in your poll? I think it got a whopping 7%. Epica was second. So……..??? Maybe not big demand ? Just curious
Bigger than you think.
Their prior B-M reaction has 25% more views in half the time of the most watched Epica reaction, so the statistics suggest otherwise.
@@_DriveTime ok….I stand corrected
@@jeremydawkins8814 it would appear so ….
Its a little bit different so i won't say too much about it but maybe you can squeeze it in around Halloween which is just days away.

Thanks!!! Will check that out! Thanks for being here and supporting our small channel.
No reaction from these old guys
I'm proud of being old .... That means I've lived. Spoiler alert my friend but we all get old.
I am proud of every wrinkle, every grey hair and every smile crease. I wish you peace and hope you also respect and honour life, as it's a gift. A true gift. Be well.
they are good - but no way they lead the way over Lovebites.
After struggling with your 5 minute opening finally got the reaction so love band maid from the start but this channel is not for me maybe stay on topic or is this a radio show
Hello. I’m sorry we can’t. We are really old friends who love to chat. There’s so many reaction channels to choose from, I’m sure you will find what you’re looking for. Be safe
It looked fake, like they were playing to a pre-recorded track. As for the music. it's ok but not very original. Just my opinion of course.
Hi Sammy - Yes 10% the are playing but have clicked sequence tracks also... which is 100% standard and he norm
