Those rings are so thick, we Wouldn’t have the technology (or the time) to build them that big for thousands of years. Nobody speaking recognizable English anymore. And the usable volume inside them would be immense. Immeasurable.
Not with our economy-system and not without a planetary pace. A Star Trek likes economy and policy can allow us to build something like this and collecting sources from other planets. And maybe be able to discover a technology to transmute elements in other elements to not get low in sources. Plus we'll need to produce energy forever... uranium is not enought, so go for geothermal energy, orbital solar power plants and something to collect plasma from sun,and something to produce energy from radiations from space
@@fluffdragon6305 The size of those rings is hilarious, star trek replicators not interplanetary mining. Put in perspective, a 12 inch pizza is 113 square inches of pizza while an 18 inch pizza is 254 square inches. structural integrity aside there is like a whole extra planet taken from somewhere for those rings.
@@jamesm2577 yes, replicator. But I think, collect sources from Jupiter, and transmute the matter collected. Same thing collecting plasma from sun and transmute it in sources for building. And maybe, an alliance between other races thru space
Why do the rings and supports need to be so fat? You don't use the pillars to hold them up; you do it with an internal ring that rotates much faster than orbital speed. You could make it at any altitude and use only cables to bring things up/down and to tether it in place. They don't need to block so much light, and to make something so big that the cable cars moving up and down are the size of small countries seems weird. They would take forever to (un)load.
Yeah it's trying to make this criticism of human greed or shaming scientific process but this problem is absolutely unrealistic. It would be so easy to do this correctly with absolutely no danger of blocking the sun.
The blocking of the light was kinda shoved in your face, the old woman amd what she said... You missed that then? If you block natural light people have to pay for more power - electricity, for light. The core story of this movie is about human greed. Hope ths helps.
Hi, Hashem, just a little suggestion. Because the flames in your explosions and effects are darker than the white level in your shots, they often feel darker or fake. Fire and explosions should be brighter than your lights.
Many experts actually say the opposite.. that the industry has made a habit of making explosions brighter than they are in reality for dramatic effect and viewers are used to seeing that on screen but the darker tone is actually more realistic... only a fuel burn or nuclear explosion would be actually bright.
Why should we? The earth rotates. Every 7 year old really understands that this is not a good thing. If we are ever able to create a Dyson sphere, it will not be a ring, but a swarm around a star, but not anchored to a rotating planet. But hey, it’s good sci-fi movie stuff. Our Earth don’t need fat cuffs.
I'm thinking why would humans want to create famine and catastrophic weather events from those rings' shadows, not to mention what they might do to the length of the day and year.
Awesome 🤩 god bless our future and our home planet earth May we protect it and I wish those rings could protect earth and improve life quality on earth.
This looks totally wild and, as a sci-fi fan, I look forward to it's release. One thing though, granted it's fiction and VFX/CGI, but after watching both trailers my "old-fashioned" came out. The imagery of the rings and their supports, I found off putting. Please don't bombard or belabor me with the fact that it's fiction. I KNOW. It's just weird for me, ok?
Given the amount of matter that would have had to go into building those rings - like seriously at a guess I’d say the total metallic content of the asteroid belt plus a couple Jovian moons - I can’t understand why Humanity wouldn’t already be at a point where we could easily deal with whatever environmental problems they’d cause.

Yes, they look like they would have equal or more area to the land area on earth.

Immeasurable volume? What? No, it would absolutely be measurable.
This looks like a lot of fun, despite the lower-budget feel
Tf you mean lower budget? This looks pretty expensive
it honestly does look a little low on budget, but even making this trailer probably cost a lot.
The cgi doesn't look low budget, it looks no budget. It get worse towards the end of the trailer. But surprisingly some of the camera work looks ok.
@@velvetypotato711 that kinda makes up for it. Has the movie released yet? Or is this just a concept trailer?
@@bartholomewmontgomery2494 all the VFX is done by one guy
I did search and representation about this in 2009. Never thought people will talk about it 10 years later. Al-Gaili did an awesome job.
What search and representation?

Yes im glad someone here actually knows the science behind an actual orbital ring megastructure with active support and stuff
It's gonna suck when these pillars collapse under their own weight.
Yeah, and that resources for that megastructure alone is illogical too, breaking away logics.

This randomly came up on my suggested and I gotta say wasn't expecting much but holy shit this looks pretty bad-ass.
The exact same thing just happened to me. I would have worded it identically.
Is this a movie? It looks like a science docudrama where everyone is talking about the possibility. I love it. What's the release date?
Makes "Moonfall" look like it was produced by NASA.
I can't wait to see it! 😍🥳🧬🌌

🤩 excited for it!
I have subscribed so I don’t miss it when it comes out. Cause this look like a brilliant movie.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.
Fabulous. Can't wait to watch it
Can’t wait!
I wish there was more science in this fiction
Yeah... They are not even in "orbit". Wtf?
Nope
Very interested. Looking foward to this. Love sci fi movies

Simply "AMAZING"👏👏
Highest respect from granddaughter of Persian maternal Grandfather who raised me
This is the reason why i like the Futuristic things and theme GENRE in movies!!
You make the best Si Fi videos! I'd love to see a full-length feature film!
Does this have distribution? A release date? Where can I watch it?
Here before it blows up and honestly I never heard of it before
omg this is amazing great job.!!
I'd sooner believe we can travel at light speed than think we can ever build this realistically
Why should we? The earth rotates. Every 7 year old really understands that this is not a good thing. What! Woww.. u did fantastic👍. Keep spirit, never give up and then keep creative :)
Now I'm thinking where do human get the materials to build this massive ring which is bigger than the earth itself
Time to strip mine mercury and the Oort cloud
I'm thinking why would humans want to create famine and catastrophic weather events from those rings' shadows, not to mention what they might do to the length of the day and year.
Most likely mining moon, mercury, Mars or asteroid belt etc
Fantástico!!!
Intriguing. Can’t wait to watch it.
this entire movie is a just a big flex on this cool earth ring 3d model
this is insane! I want to watch it!
Amazing indeed. Cannot wait to watch it
When is this coming out to watch?
This is amazing.
looks cool! Where to stream?
When this is gng to release?
OMG talk about over the top !!
رائع جدا جدا. منتظرين للعرض
Seems like Elysium with extra steps.
This looks amazing! I wish it received the budget it needed to fulfill its potential
one guy did the VFX this shits amazing I'm so pumped
Just one of those support pillars would require more resources than we will ever be able to acquire in 1000s of years
What material was used to make the rings? Seems to require more resources than the earth can provide.
Awesome 🤩 god bless our future and our home planet earth May we protect it and I wish those rings could protect earth and improve life quality on earth.
So basically the present day but more spectacular
well it looks cool. I have a lot to say about the science of it but, nevertheless... could be fun.
when is it out?
Esta película aún está haciéndose? O donde la puedo ver?
Anyone knows the name of the music that plays close to the end or where i can listen to it ?
I had goosebumps only at watching the trailer😳 This movie is a hit.
chough chough melodysheep chough chough
You know already it's a hit without getting a real story line?
Where will I get it?
Looks like a bunch of cheap cgi.
when will you finish it?
The rings and supports are way too damn thick
Has this been released? I cant find it anywhere

COOL!!!!! i hope they make it a movie.
Thank god no costumed superhero movie again , it seems a straight space opera Sci-Fi with good submessaging
Onde conseguiriam tanta matéria para construir as estruturas?
Where and when can this be watched ?
I can't wait to watch this movie.
Essentially a future retelling of the story about the Tower of Babel.
How many continents did they remove to get the ore?????
That Background Music 💥💯
Where would we even find the materials?
For like 20 people and a budget of one big mac this looks pretty good.
Looks cool. I LOVE SCI-FI

I'm sorry, is this a concept, a game, or a movie trailer? It's so visually stunning that I genuinely don't know which one.
A film by a very particular person...
I love the alcubierre warp enterprise ship.
