what about turning an already beater track car into a drift had coils tires a quick change rear diff already and a 1jz making 450hp would just adding angle make it work ?

Really nice video! I did have one question though. Do you think it would ever be worth it to upgrade the diff rather than welding it? I know it’s A LOT cheaper just to weld it 😂
Ehhh if you're like just using it as like a grassroots/ sunday funday track car, just weld it. Even as like a daily driver its not toooo bad. Like tight corners and parking lots you'll feel and hear the chirping from the rear but its honestly worth it vs. the cost. I'd say look into a diff when you wanna like further your driving and really start pushing towards competing and get used to like really dialing in gear ratios. Great question btw!

Awesome video. How important is body roll for a drift car? Do you want absolutely none or it useful for transitions?
You really want the suspension to do the work. Side to side body roll to a minimum but not too stiff. As you get higher in power and grip we do look for the car to squat like a drag car
Is there a way to know what suspension to buy for the best fitment or is it a good guess Ik it sound dumb but I’m new to cars and stuff

Just getting into drift stuff, I know the dangers of 4 point harnesses with the submarining but takata made ones with Anti submarining patches, would those be good for side drifting or should I plan on 5 or 6 point harness. Nice video either way!!!
Honestly, the way we like to phrase it is, "how much do you think your life is worth?" its really blunt, BUT safety always always always a main part of drifting. Some products at a mid range price tag (in terms of harnesses like cheap 5/6 points) will do the job just fine, however you never can be too cautious. Really it's preference and just what you envision happening and planning for.

Kind of late to this video, but how do you keep your camber in the rear when you drift ? Everytime I go the alignment and toe always get misaligned and I have to align it again
I have custom welded control arms that way nothing changes such as the adjustable arms you can buy
What size wheels and tires ...front and rear?
All this go for a fox body as well??

I can't find s13 or any Nissan tuners here in Egypt but there are civics and BMWs and evos tbh I don't know which is better what do you say
Bmw's are a solid choice in my opinion! I haven't really had any fwd cars like a honda or anything and evos would be a good second pick.
I’m getting a 04 mustang that I want to do a drift build on , anyone know a wing that might look good and help with downforce
When you’re going sideways a wing won’t be making very much downforce. Get better tires for more grip when drifting, aero won’t be efficient at all, just stylish 😉
Bro you should really show how to properly mount a harness so it doesn't compress your spine and also how the hub for the wheel can strip out and screw ya if you get a cheap one.
We kindaaaa touched on that in a more recent video, but 100% never get a cheap wheel
Any advice on wheel spacers and what effect, if any on handling/steering? I'm in a situation where I'm gonna need about 1.5"-2.0" spacers and my butthole hasn't unpuckered since I realized it.
Front or rear? Rear won’t matter at this point. It does effect it but if anything it will improve it. If it’s front I would get the correct sized wheels and run minimal spacer 1” or less.
I’d also highly recommend going with extended studs and slip on spacers. Much safer
It would be front and rear. That's gonna be a long set of studs. Are you saying that's safer because there is less hardware in there to loosen up or fail?

It helps keep the car planted to the ground. Stock height tends to have a lot of body roll which you don't want!

Why don't you run a front sway bar?
Usually gets in the way of the lock and we compensate with spring rates. Many do run front sway bars though. It can be done

6:50 man don't run stock wheels? I mean I understand for competition but when you drifting on the weekend for fun stock wheels are the easiest to have
You wanna run something dependent on your power set up to achieve the proper grip! If stock size can do it sure, but when you make more power you want something a tad beefier. Like, just picture if we put stock wheels on our pro car lol.

I really want to call bullshit on anti submarine belts. If you are properly wearing a 4 point you will never submarine. There’s a reason there’s only four points in military air craft and I promise you they work. Ask me how I know
I know ZERO about military aircraft but most automotive racing rules are formed because someone dies or is paralyzed from an accident. So safety equipment is usually instated from experience as well.
