Can Pro football historian Ray Didinger really fortell the future for punter Ray Guy?

  • Lets hope so! A punter has yet to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame but at the 2:15 mark of this NFL Films clip Pro football historian Ray Didinger says, "You're talking about one guy who was Peyton Manning, Ray Guy, and Ronnie Lott, all in one..." That one guy was Sammy Baugh, the QB/P/DB of the Washington Redskins for 16 seasons from 1937 to 1952. The point is, Didinger refers to Guy's bronze bust being in the hall of fame. I know Peyton Manning will make it some day, just not sure about Guy.
Ray Guy is not 'yet' in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and neither is any other punter. Lets hope Didinger is right when he mentions Ray Guy's hall of fame bust.

Well, he says Peyton Manning because he will definitely get in. For Ray Guy to have to wait 23 years is a travesty in every sense .
