This entire channel is such a hidden gem of everything NFL, love it
It's better than most of the week 7 games
I honestly can watch them talk about stuff like this forever
Yep, came to the comments to say this. A 5-10 artifact weekly show would be great!
This should become a regular series, there's so much the HOF has that does a great job of telling the story of the game.
Where do we as NFL fans get all the pieces of history? If the answer is NFL Throwback, that’s your final answer right there!!
@Keith Cousins nobody cares
Visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame is on my bucket list. Y'all never fail to have amazing stuff!
Take it from me, the Hall of Fame is like Disney for football fans!
That Otto Graham 60 to 14 jersey was on display when I went. Seeing the faded 60 with the 14 over top of it is really fascinating
Having been, its a must visit. If you love the game...I mean REALLY love the game, it leaves you in awe. Its a living breathing shrine of the NFL.
You will NOT be disappointed. It is an amazing place to visit. I live an hour away from the place and I wish I could go every year.
@@scootscootriot1020 its my favorite place to visit in the world!
2:07 fan helps the defense get the stop
Good catch! Lmao!!!
Lmao, and actually effected the outcome!
😂😂 he a smart man he can officially say "WE" won
Honestly one of my favorite channels on UA-cam, the most informative NFL channel out there whether we are learning something new about the game; NFL Throwback never let's us down. 🙌🏼
NFL history is the best type of history
Love that they're taking the preservation of these artifacts seriously. I can't wait to visit the hall of fame someday. A monument dedicated to what I consider the greatest sport in the world!
Na
Damn NFL Throwback really stepping up there game 🔥🔥🔥
I don’t mind how haunted that room is with all those gifts , I would like to sit on the Lombardi Bench with Vince 😃
Slices of football heaven for people that can't afford to go to the hall of fame. Thanks
Paul Brown really changed everything
I hope for the Browns' 75th anniversary, they also discuss the innovations of Paul Brown.
Man, I would binge a series like this. I'd love to see /everything/ in the archives and hear about it's significance
Please make this a recurring thing
With some of these artifacts it's amazing to me that they survived to this day and that the Hall of Fame was able to get a hold of them. At some point, there had to be at least one person who found some of these things in a trunk or something, didn't know what they were, but thought they might have some significance.
Awesome stuff
Yoo
Ayy
Awesome to see Chuck Noll in that shuttle system, can’t say I’ve ever seen footage of it before
As for the 1922 Canton Bulldogs jersey being smaller, besides less padding, players back then were smaller. The Nesser brothers of the Columbus Panhandles, another team of that era, were big guys around 200 pounds, now 300+ pound linemen are commonplace
I'm very fortunate that I live 20 minutes away from the HOF. I've went there many times but it's been about 10 years now since my last visit. After watching this it's time to go back once again.
This guy embodies his job, true football historian. Even if it is heavily scripted I'm sure this guys knows what he's talking about.
You can see him talking about history of the game in the early NFL top 10 series.
Please please PLEASE do more of these! I’ve been wanting to see into the Hall’s archives for so long and it’s hard to see anything. Such a cool video.
Please do this as individual videos for each team, it would be awesome seeing artifacts from each individual teams history, even the defunct ones!
I wonder what Tom Brady will donate in 2036 on his first year ballot entry
Please do more of these, it was extremely interesting as an NFL fan.
I loved the Pro Football Hall of Fame! what an experience I went to back in August. Very organized, friendly staff, I was there for over two hours! I wanna go again next year! lol
This channel is a gold mine. Can't be thankful enough!
I have been to the Hall of Fame. It is filled with similar artifacts.
I've been lucky to visit the Hall three times. THIS IS AMAZING. And yes, I wish more attention would be given to Bill Willis, Marion Motley, Kenny Washington (who I believe was a teammate of Jackie Robinson at UCLA), and Woody Strode. They are lost to history much like Larry Doby even though they came before Jackie.
Hopefully, I’m going there next year to see Peyton Mannings bust! But it is the coolest place ever!
Man players from the 30-50 were just gladitors out there setting the trend of football without any precursor or anything to model after just going out there in whatever they could find and score touchdowns .
This is some of the coolest stuff I've seen
As someone who loves NFL history, this video was amazing.
In my trips to Canton, I've seen a few of these artifacts on display; the Canton jersey, Creekmur's helmet, Graham's onesie jersey and a couple others. I haven't decided, but I may go to the Hall when I visit my sister and her family for Thanksgiving. If I'm there the day before the holiday, she wants me out of the house while she does her prep work.
Canton is such a cool place but as someone who went I would have loved to see the Sid Luckman Jersey and playbook
Thanks for posting this!
This was so cool. Can you make this a weekly or monthly thing?
I saw that Ice Bowl bench on display in Canton when I visited there in 2000.
Man love learning the history and seeing all these artifacts. Gotta make more vids like these soon!
13:46
That program was featured on Pawn Stars
@2:08 you can see a fan coming on to the field to help AHT
This video was great, 49ers fan since birth in 1999 so to learn the history i missed of the game i love is great. I’m sure they have more to talk of, do another one of these @NFL Films
I love stories like this, Keep up the Great Work👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Them Doak Walker Leather Speed FlyZips on point 🔥🔥🔥
Can you do the history of divisions and rivalries all in one video?....please do that!
Just you wait!
@@NFLVault an the history of NFL Equipment from the helment down to the cleats!
I don't have the chance to but man, I'd like to spend a week looking at all the old stuff. The Columbus Panhandles, the Oorang Indians, The Dayton Triangles and stuff like that.
This video was amazing I loved watching this video looking at pieces of history from the NFL
Love this. More please.
I wish the buildings of all HOFs were much bigger. That way most of the artifacts could be displayed.
MAN, this was amazing to watch. Really reminds me of the football legends of past🙌🙌🙌🙌
How TF does this channel not have millions of subs?
Because Americans don't value history. If they did, so many of the issues we have wouldn't exist because we would have done something about them.
oh yeah. this is the good shit
I’d love a second video on this :)
Went into this not expecting much but ngl this was actually pretty cool
Ok this is awesome, I love this channel, and i also love that the PFHOF let us see those artifacts!
Love this channel and all its videos
19 MORE things please
Damn!!! That’s pretty damn cool and awesome to see these artifacts after for so long
Please make more of these
Great video if you ever get a hold of the TV broadcasts of SB I & II let me know. I know there should be no copy of SB II anywhere but I did hear of 1 copy of SB I that is out there someplace that would be the Holy Grail of all football history to find that and show the world again
Was shown Brett Favre's thigh pads and some other cool items when my Grandma and I went to the hall of fame a few years ago.
This would be the greatest job in the world for a sports fan. Just getting to look over all of this NFL history all day
Definitely using this for my project
this is such a cool video, thank you
I could watch hours of this
“The championship teams of the Detroit Lions” is not something you hear everyday
Great interesting stuff. Let’s keep this respect up today. Also enshirned…
Hope NFL teams bring back all their throwback uniforms someday! Love it when teams wear their throwbacks I don't care who they are.
Very interesting! I can’t wait to go to the museum.
This is my go to channel for NFL history!
amen
Where’s Alvin Kamara’s Cleats and that Fine letter?
Maybe the Browns need to look at Paul's defense.
As for Doak Walker's cleat, I knew backs often kicked back then (smaller rosters and limited substitutions), but I hadn't thought of a quick-change shoe to be better at that. For another example of kicking backs, in a 1929 Cardinals game, Ernie Nevers ran for 6 TDs and made 4 extra points. (this came up when Alvin Kamara tied the TD part for the Saints last tear)
Wow! Amazing!
The only thing that sucks about HOF they don't count all of the NFL championships that were played before the SUPERBOWL. It is a dis service to the HOF because they happened and we are supposed to act like they didn't and don't count.🤔
For DEN/CLE tomorrow- The Drive is an obvious Throwback game idea, but the 1989-90 AFC-CG or their October 1990 Monday Night Football thriller are also potential candidates
Or even the 1989 regular season game where Bud Carson got the win Marty couldn't in Cleveland, even in the regular season.
gus ferotte headbutt game in 1996 i wanna say has to be loaded!!!!!!!
Woah that's sick.
love this!!
Anyone see the new transmission line pole thats up at the hall of fame? I worked for the power company when they installed the giant yellow goalposts instead of standard transmission poles. You can see it from the highway and is a great touch.
1932 6 win teams battle for the championship. While a 10 win team sits in 3rd place. Ties are wild

I love it!!
@ 1:50 hahahaha they're tearing down the goalposts. Omg lol
I love this channel
I used to hunt squirrel , I saw a old falling apart out house, my brother found 6 pices of fine china, an 2 baseballs 1 signed by all the New York Giants outher the San Fran Giants, Bob Feller, Warren Zapata on the NY ball, Net Flex, " fastball , Bob Feller 30 percent of that flex, if Willy Mays was on the second ? I didn't look, Hobo's used ride the rails, or 2 miles as the crow flys Joe Brinkman NL umpire 30 years. Mom made him keep them for 3 mounths. I wounder who put them there n forgot or died.
You know I was bored thank you for another interesting video
Tbh this is really cool 😎
I bet Steelers players would have loved to know how Chuck Noll was used during his career 11:12

Somebody call Rick & Chumlee and of course someone they know who runs a store and knows everything there is to know about this stuff 😂
When Josh Allen wins his superbowl, the table he jumps through goes into that collection

So this place is the equivalent of the Jedi Temple correct??!
Great video. Did anyone see the fan at 2:08 acting as the 12th man on the field and almost deflected the pass?
Shelving with crankarms is familiar to me working in a library. the shelves move along tracks on the floor. it's good for infrequently accessed storage because you don't need space to have an aisle by each shelf, you can move the shelves until you have an aisle where you need it.
Woow 🔥🔥
@22:13 That Chicago Bears team picture look suspect lol.
This has to be my job
