Now that I watch this scene all these years later it makes so much sense why Widow committed self sacrifice. She loved Clint's family so much. It was like the family she never had.
This may sound funny, but I can't help but imagine just what great linebackers Cap and Thor would make. I mean look at them, they're like walking tanks. A defense with them would be virtually unstoppable.
@@Dymykymy-vx6mq She was kind of out of it because of what happened. Plus she already knew about Clint's family. So, my reactions were of the team who were first finding out about Clint's family.
This is probably one of my favorite scenes in all of the MCU. Not only do we get to see Hawkeyes family and the obvious love there, but we also get to see The Avengers get reminded of why they fight. Thor realizes he MUST get answers to keep his dream from coming true and Cap sees what he could have had and needs to get some air to think. The scene where he and Tony are chopping wood is also fantastic. We also get a glimpse of just how close Nat, Clint and his family are. The fact that Clints wife would assent to naming their child after her is proof of just how close that friendship is.
The scene also sets the background for Clint going off the rails post-Infinity War. Not everyone handles their grief the same. Steve helped others cope. Natasha dug into her work. Tony started a family and put it in the past. Thor got fat. And Clint went on a killing spree.
I believe it all comes down to her having nearly no family. The Bartons are the ones that is closed enough for her to be called family since apart from Fury and (maybe) Coulson, she is the only one knows about the Barton family. The kida even called her Auntie.

That's because there are two kinds of hero in the universe. The kind that make headlines saving millions, and the kind that understand children and can bring them up as decent people (thus saving future generations). For one mind to handle both is a rare power seen in very few beings in the MCU. Odin was one such, and Thor seems amazed to realise that a mere human could have a similar power.
@@pastychomper4939 I respectfully disagree regarding Odin. One insanely bad child, one incredibly bad adopted child (who sometimes does waffle at being bad, admittedly) and one ultimately good child: I'd say Odin has only 40% success rate at understanding kids and bringing them up as decent people. I can't really think of any other currently fitting the mold. Possibly Janet Van Dyne, but she was lost to her daughter for most of Hope's life. Clint may be the sole heroic great parent so far in the MCU.
For once they all saw Clint was better-off than all of them. Stark only had Pepper, Steve only had a love interest that had Alzheimer, Thor only had Jane and Bruce and Nat were completely alone in the world. That's why they all seemed so surprised when one of them actually had a family, a home and a somewhat stable life. And after the Blip, even Stark took inspiration from Clint and raised his own family
@@derciobene3458 But why didn't Steve just try to settle in the the modern times instead of having to go through all of the 40's up to that point again?
I love how Joss Whedon fleshed out Cap here after Thor flies off. Cap turns to go into the house and it reminds him of Peggy and how this could've been their life. So he turns back and probably goes for a walk alone in the countryside. Nice touch, JW!
TJ Devil Holy crap - I’ve seen this movie a dozen times and never caught that before ....now I appreciate it a whole lot more Thanks for pointing it out
When Clint said that he's not a role model in Hawkeye series, yeah maybe he's not the Avenger that people look up to, but he's the role model of The Avengers. Think about it. Since that scene, Tony and Cap said that they're considering living like Clint and they did. A hope that in this job you can have a peaceful lowkey life. All of them wants what Clint has and that's something.
Spihk Heartbust!? Go now quickly & Analyze & Discuss Transformers StarScreen's effects upon all Screen upon the Earth via Bozeman Hotmail Recipient's spray cann
Well, because he was the only Avenger that basically didn’t have problems. He had a little probably, but rarely any next to the rest of them. There’s literally a scene with Clint and Laura talking about what a mess everyone else is expect him and he says, “well, I guess they’re my mess.”
No one is talking about how depressed Steve looks, when he thinks about Clint's family. He's just like ,,damn, I should have this too..." it's the only thing he ever wanted after he survived the plane crash - a normal family and life. (the same thing is with Tony) I think the moment, when they discover, that Barton has a family is the moment, when they just realise, what is missing in they're life and the fact, that Peggy's voice comes to Steve's head when he sees the Bartonfamily and his face is in this moment really sad. Also when in the background is laughter and so on...
Hawkeye is the only one with a family. The only one with *kids* Hawkeyes underrated in that his backstory adds some level of background that actually consists of *a normal life* and no one recognises it. Lowkey, this scene is really good.
They're all awkward in this scene, but Thor stands out the most. It's almost like he's seeing the normality of alien life, and it's beyond his current experience. Sure he's distracted by a vision, but you can still sense the discomfort before that.
Sees pregnant Lady Tony : This is an agent of some kind Sees little kids Tony : These are, smaller, agents edit : lmao, i know we all watched it but i just thought this part was funny
Those kids were pretty nonchalant about the fact that the freaking AVENGERS just walked into their home. Would've loved to have seen them fanboying out like they should have!
as well as the fact that they know natasha whom they consider their aunt. i wonder how they would react to banner when he's the hulk or.... having spider-man as.... their babysitter!
I like how the girl calls Natasha her Auntie Nat. I wish we got to see more of Natasha with the kids. Even playing with them, showing she wishes she were a mom. Also, I think it would’ve been funny and sweet if Thor let the girl try to lift his hammer
Even better if they showed she actually could, to symbolize the idea that little kids are innocent pure beings and haven't lived a life that would make them unworthy yet.
@@santosic nah kids are not worthy Proof 1: thor's adoptive daughter wields stormbreaker instead of mjolnir Proof 2: Spiderman is not worthy because someone who is worthy must be willing to kill those evil, but kids obviously don't understand right or wrong or about evil

2:12 is actually so powerful, Steve looking into the house and just fully taking in that he can never have this life, then him turning around is just confirmation that he has accepted it, its soooo powerful .
I love how Marvel just doesn't forget and bring those little things years after. Like the scientist that Stane yelled about the "box of scrapes in a cave" being in Spiderman FFH, 11 years later.
The meaning of that scene is when Steve was about to go in the house and Peggy said “we can go home now” was that the house would be the life he could’ve had with Peggy. And the outdoors his life he chose.
Charlotte Shell in kind of like him, small children can be scary, trust me I have 2 cousins who constantly demand me for horseback rides and dress up and a baby neice who needs constant attention

Best friends that are so close to each other, their kids refer to them as aunt/uncle! As the old saying goes, friends are the family you choose.) “How’s little Natasha?” “She is…Nathanial.” “…traitor.”

That only happens when he's using the bifrost to travel back to Asgard. In this case, he was only flying to where his friend Erik is so he can ask him for advice.
I love the Thor and Steve duo, always thought they seemed like the most interesting dynamic. It’s really cool how Thor has always seemed to respect Steve the most even when Steve was never a competition whatsoever. But in the end Thor sees that Steve is actually able to stand on his level and watches in awe. It’s my favorite payoff in the mcu and I wish they had more screen time and team ups like he did with Bruce. Imagine a solo movie with Steve/Mjolnir/shield and Thor/Stormbreaker
That’s why Thor said “I knew it” when he grabbed Mjolnir. He may not have the physical gifts of Thor but Thor knew in terms of spirit, he was worthy. Captain America is Thor’s equal in that regard. Which is actually the most important.

she can't see the future, nor can she show it to people. Clint may be the sole heroic great parent so far in the MCU.
"We would've called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed."
Underrated line.
Captain looks so uncomfortable because he sees the life he always wanted but never got to have
I know! It makes me sad. 😢
Thor lost everything thing
For once they all saw Clint was better-off than all of them. Stark only had Pepper, Steve only had a love interest that had Alzheimer, Thor only had Jane and Bruce and Nat were completely alone in the world. That's why they all seemed so surprised when one of them actually had a family, a home and a somewhat stable life. And after the Blip, even Stark took inspiration from Clint and raised his own family

I love how Thor steps on the legohouse and looks at Steve and is like:
*You didnt see anything Rogers.*
I love how Joss Whedon fleshed out Cap here after Thor flies off. Cap turns to go into the house and it reminds him of Peggy and how this could've been their life. So he turns back and probably goes for a walk alone in the countryside. Nice touch, JW!

Thanks for pointing it out
@TJ Devil if you listent closly you can hear peggy's voice (as Captain America hears it going back in) ''we can go home now''
And so we see Hawkeye's super power the ability to have a normal family life 😊
He might be the only one in the Avengers to have what seems like a normal life. Scott maybe if he's added to the party.
Thanos: *snap*
In this day and age and economy it IS a superpower!!
Hawkeye is amazing
Thats not a superpower😂
Yes!

Yup, he can't bring himself to go back into the Barton home at that moment. It's just too much a reminder of what he thinks he can never have
Hawkeye is the only one with a family. The only one with *kids*
Hawkeyes underrated in that his backstory adds some level of background that actually consists of *a normal life* and no one recognises it.
Lowkey, this scene is really good.

More she didn't want to show that she was hurt to the kids and just toughed it out.
They're all awkward in this scene, but Thor stands out the most. It's almost like he's seeing the normality of alien life, and it's beyond his current experience. Sure he's distracted by a vision, but you can still sense the discomfort before that.

I love that everyone has superhero outfits while Tony and Bruce look like they have just come from casual grocery shopping. 🤣
Well with Mjolnir, Cap is a match for him
@@maverick1711 even with Mjolnir, Cap is nowhere near Thor. We're talking about a god here, who has thousands upon thousands of years of combat experience, much more strenght, ability of flight, magic, etc. They're just not on the same level

You know since scarlet witch gave them visions that could help prepare them for what’s coming. Why didn’t they ask her to give them more visions after she became an avenger?
Danny Cali Destiny can't be predicted just as prophet shouldn't exist. It isn't permissioned by god like Bible stories. Some even believes that prediction bring calamity instead of avoid it.
Because the vision they had were their just mental manipulation of their fears, regret and worries.

she can't see the future, nor can she show it to people. She can manipullate minds. she just showed them their biggest fear that's why Natacha's vision wasn't about the future but about her past, same with Steve whose vision was about a past that never really happened. IN Tony's case he saw the chitauri coming, yes, but the way the Avengers look in that vision is completely different to what they look like now which proves it wasn't a vision of the future. It's just his biggest fear almost came true, in concept only.

He's wearing broad & thick shoulder pads. Thor is more buff really.
Evans' measurements are technically bigger than Hemsworth's. I noticed it at the end of the 1st CA film when he's punching that bag. Dude's waist to shoulders... Lawd.
Also, Thor doesn't really need to gain muscle and get stronger as a character to be successful. Captain America does, so Evans gets bigger while Hemsworth mostly maintains.
@@MizzJai88 Thor Is actually more muscular and bigger then Cap, it was just the camra angle which made it look like he was comparable to Thor when he's really not.
