Thanks for the help! Exactly what it was. The screen on the plug was actually clogged, so it couldn't drain on its own. I checked the passenger side also and the plug was perfect
Wow am I glad I found your video. Thanks for sharing. The crooks at chrysler wanted to keep the truck for a week and squeeze every penny out of my pocket.
These plugs are right under the driver and passenger seat. My plugs were caked with mud so I washed them in the kitchen sink. There are little rubber diaphragms in the plug to let the water drain normally. If your not sure if it the right plug finger it a little and you will feel the 💦. Water came out of both sides on our Jeep.
I have been having issues with my 2015 GC Overland, i.e. evidence of water infiltration along the headliner, condensation on the inside of the windshield, etc, and hearing sloshing sounds from the floor pan, without knowing the exact location, or source. I actually just completed draining both sides of my GC (12/26/2018), pulling both plugs on the Passenger side, and the solitary one on the Driver side. My examination revealed that (at least on the GC Overlands) there appears to be a solid drain plug on the RH (Passenger) side, and a second plug with an internal one-way check valve; this same check valve-equipped plug is also on the LH Driver side. I discovered that on the inner side of these valve-equipped plugs, there was an accumulation of lint, particulate, or other matter that was in essence, impeding the function of the inner check valve. I thoroughly washed these out, checked to see that the valve "flappers" were still functional by blowing through them, and after the reservoirs seemed to have drained out, I reinserted all three plugs. I also attempted to clear out the sunroof drains (not sure if I routed my blow tube correctly, but it seems as though I encountered no resistance where I placed the tube in what looked like the drain ports in the roof.
Removed the drivers side plug under the car and out came a galon of water that has been driving me crazy for months. A garage said it was my gas tank last week......
@@rjs742 yea, I took pliers to them and pulled on them somewhat hard. There's two of them, in fact they're probably the plastic cylinder next to where the water is draining from in this video.
I have had the same problem with my 2013 Grand Cherokee. The garage want to replace the door seals as the likely source of the leak. This doesn’t make sense as footwell carpet was not wet. Anyone got suggestions where the water leak is?

Jeep is criminal to their patrons
Saw this video went right to my 2021 Jeep and was able to do the same thing...
I hate when they saw the videos like this like is that the driver side the passenger side 🤷🏽♂️ where is it located
Do the car have to be turn on
Nope
What is there water accumulated?
I don't have a rubber grommet on the driver side, just two black hard plastic cylinder looking things. Anybody know what this is?
MeatHook did you try to remove them? Mine was made of plastic too
@@rjs742 yea, I took pliers to them and pulled on them somewhat hard. There's two of them, in fact they're probably the plastic cylinder next to where the water is draining from in this video.
lol, yea, that's about what mine looked like had i started filming earlier. nuts isn't it ?
It really was crazy. Flooded most of my driveway. I am bringing it back to the dealer on Monday

The dealer I bought it from cleaned the sunroof drains and it hasn't happened since.
@@rjs742 where are the sunroof drains. I just drained that plug like you and all water came out.
@@spankulator should be at the 4 corners of the sunroof...2 at the front ..2 in the back
Where is the location of the plug
Mine was directly under the drivers seat.
If this isn't BS… disgusting
Thanks Jeep!
Well what it then?
James Davis the sunroof drains were blocked, causing the water to run down the inside of the A pillar and collect in a cavity between the floors
@@rjs742 Wow interesting. Because I don't have a Sun roof yet I have the same water problem.
James Davis me too...see my post
Are the drains in this video the drains you're referencing?
Same here
I think your water broke!
It sure was a lot of water
