anyone asking this surgery can cost 6k for double incision 6.5k for keyhole 1.5k hospital cost idk if there's add ons for how big chested you are then there's hotel and driving fee etc if you're out of town
Thanks for the informative video! I always wanted a straight-out explanation of the procedure! Also, I love the little whisper of the person saying "go" at the beginning haha.
Indigo Lemon oh right, i don't know if this happens to other people but youtube comments glitch out for me and when it's a comment with "read more" it doesn't come up and I can't see the part of the comment not already on screen
You mean "The only doctors willing to breach their oath and mutilate healthy bodies of mentally ill patients even though it doesn't lead to any lessening of depression or mental illness."
Thank you so much, Doc, for this. I was wondering how it's done and now I know. I just wish that transitioning was as quick here in the UK, as it seems to be in the US.
Privatized medicine means its theoretically faster, but almost impossible to get if you dont live in a state that provides gender affirming care as a part of health insurance, and are low income. With NHS, it will take forever, but your income is not your limiting factor. Some times loans are taken out.
Good question @yeswetrans. I have scars from surgeries that keloid. knee surgery as well as c-section cut. Both keloid. I'm just going to assume my chest will as well once I have my top surgery. I'll take it any day over these chesticles. lol.
What do surgeons who perform this operation consider a 'small' B? Are you referring to the numerical figure, or just the look of the breast? Thanks so much for this video, it's very, very helpful.
Is it correct to say that a male nipple always lies within the pectoralis ? (I have never seen a male chest where the nipple is lying under the pectoralis but a surgeon said it is not always the case)
I'm 15, and I'm getting top surgery in 46 days. I figured that you would miss less school if you do it a few days before thanksgiving break. Then you have a week off without missing any school. Then, you can take off all the way until Christmas break if you need to, and you'll have 3 free weeks without missing school. Also, I didn't want to be a sweaty and hot while I have wraps around me, so I chose to do it in the winter time so I can be wrapped up in blankets and sweatshirts all day. I hope that helps
i have a really important question to ask. okay so im 17 and i plan on having top surgery by age 20. however i dont want hormones. i have heard that if you dont go on hormones the breast will only grow back over time, i want to know if this is true or not. thanks.
Sara Eugenia you can go on estrogen blockers and not testosterone which probably stop your chest from growing. Some doctors do require you to be on testosterone tho
Aseel x it is so unlikely for the breast tissue to grow back, im not saying its impossible but if ur surgeon does it right and removes ALL the breast tissue it shouldn't!
Wait, you said that you do the T incision with the peri surgery, or only do the T incision if necessary (for example theres a REASON for it...)? If not, whats the reason for the T incision?
i'm in cincinnati and am hoping to make it to you within a year for a revision. i have bad dog ears and could use some lipo but look good otherwise. i had surgery with a "non top surgeon" and she gave me a very natural looking chest by removing all breast tissue and leaving the fat since i was so over weight at the time of surgery. but i am losing weight, and my chest is losing weight too. but the dog ears are killing me! i think you are better than garramone. i have seen great results from you.
For this doctor specifically typical fees for top surgery are $6700-$7700 (this includes anesthesia and facility fees and all post operative care). See more here www.clevelandplasticsurgery.com/transgender/
Wait he’s in Cleveland . How old do you have to have top surgery without parents knowledge cause I’m wanting to get too survey but idk what age you have to be .
if you still live with your parents then it's gonna be really hard to hide you getting surgery, as you're in recovery and covered in bandages for weeks after.
It's a pretty massive surgery and it'd be just about impossible to hide from anyone at all when you recover. For other info, I suggest looking at his website, in the video description.
I‘m scared about the pain in my body and I‘m scared for the lack of understanding in society and in my family. I don’t want to be Trans. I Feel like if I was cis gender I would be transphobic because my family is. So when somebody is transphobic I don’t get hurt because I understand. They don’t know.
he requires a therapist letter. best bet if you can afford it find a gender specialist. like a phd. the wpath standards have changed, and this is what he requires in the letter. you no longer have to wait, but if your therapist needs to be educated on transgender issues. You will be waiting forever. otherwise i would try university mental health clinic as they tend to be more open minded (and up on their research) and cheap. the problem also sadly comes down to money, and pure luck.
I'm okay with scars, I just want these things gone
GhostxLee same I feel you, I have a b cup and will probably get double incision, you can always get laser treatments or tattoos on the scars
Same
Same. large B cup...my scars will be awesome to me and I can tell stories
I feel you bro
I understand. I'm DD and I just can't stand them anymore.
I have this mental image of someone's nipple just falling off, them looking down at it, and saying "oops" in the most deadpan voice.
I'm crying o jesus help.
I am thankful for that scene that will never leave my head XD
I'm hearing Sam Collins deadpan voice "oops" and that slow blink he does
Great work. He did my surgery. Very happy with results.
richblackman1 how much did it cost with or without insurance?
A little over 5000 without insurance.
Mind you this was in 2006
@@richblackman1 i was born in 2006 and just got my top surgery lol

You mean "The only doctors willing to breach their oath and mutilate healthy bodies of mentally ill patients even though it doesn't lead to any lessening of depression or mental illness."
you should most definitely film the surgery and post it so we can see
Top surgery(the kind described in this video) typically costs around 6,500 US dollars.
Oh, i'm sure the price has raised since then.
Thank you for explaining it
After he drew the finished product on the left side, it looked like an alien face lol
Thank you so much, Doc, for this. I was wondering how it's done and now I know.
