I feel that, i've been getting physical releases for my ps5 if they offer them but like you said they usually lack manuals, nowadays you usually just get a single card with a redeemable item or a qr code if ur lucky lol
Started watching your videos before work in the morning, they're so nice and relaxing 😌 I've never even played Final Fantasy but it was still fun hearing you talk about your collection! ✨👌
FFX is one of the most important games ive ever played, one of my all time favourites. Ive got an anima tattoo on my leg and I also get very choked up listening to the music. Im actually seeing an orchestra playing different songs from FF in February!! Tears will fall.
My first videogame action figure was Cloud with Motorcycle from the very first Play Arts series that I bought in 2009. My figure collection has completely gonna out of control since then. 😅 I do also own Yuffie from the same series.
I’m such a sucker for art books 😭 I haven’t even played ff9 yet and I want it !! Currently playing through ff8 though & loving it - that Rinoa figure is so cute hehe Also love the monster high doll on your shelf btw omg
Manuals are one of the biggest reasons why players love retro game collections, to get those in the box. I have at least a few Ps2 cases with the cd and the manual as well. I also enjoy Final Fantasy and played and beat Theatrhythm, the sequel I believe at least. I'm a loyal gamer and have ps1, ps2, ps3, and Switch games, mostly. I have Game Boy games too, mostly the color ones. Stay classy, it is the best way to be a professional and a true best friend.
i didn't know about BringArts for figures but now they're on my radar (also my fav FF is X and I would love to afford collecting for it; i'm playing IX on my Switch and it's good so far too)
Physical media forever!!! Glad you got the next FF game you really wanted. Something about those instruction booklets that were such an amazing time and of course the actual disk. Why I always just have to get everything physically
the FF9 art book is such a great grab! contains some of Amano's best contributions to the franchise. i especially love the concept versions of Vivi and the Black Mages, plus the areas are stunning. the inclusion of the previous owner's own expression is so cool!
I agree with what you're saying about digital media, I prefer to actually own tangible products as well. It would be one thing if companies sold digital media at a discount to account for the fact publishers save money on the overhead involved with creating physical copies, but they don't.
That FF9 artbook was incredible! Im gonna start looking for one of those. Recently I have been buying some strategy guides for my favorite games, do you collect any of those? I think they are very fun to look over. Some of them have so much original art and effort put into them.
I have played ff9 for some time but have never finished the game. In my small play through, I really enjoyed the story. I also love FF7 - I am currently playing the remakes. I think the tiny figure looks a little like yourself! :)
Final Fantasy X is a great game. The story is very immersive, engaging and deep. Woot I'm glad you were able to pick up a good CIB copy! I agree with you about the manuals; they are nice to have, read and look at piece that comes with the game. Have a good one!!
FF9 has to be my favorite as well. 8 holds a special place in my heart cause it was my first jrpg ever and changed my view of what a game could be, but 9 was objectively better in almost every way. A cool little story about me though...I went to film school and ended up running my own business making cinematic wedding videos for people. I would film and edit every video. One day I was just chillin and felt like watching the intro cinematic to FF8 (I've always LOVED it) and as I was watching it I had this thought pop in my head, "thats me". Then I was like wait what? Why did I just think that? So i rewound the video and watched that part over...and it hit me hoooolyyyy fuuuuuu this cinematic literally inspired my editing style and I had no idea. Certain editing techniques used in that cinematic had such a profound impact on me that it rubbed off in all of my film work and I literally had no idea until that moment lol. The subconscious mind is interesting.
I'm collecting the Yakuza Like a Dragon saga and I've always been collecting everything retro from the legend of Zelda, And I've always been more into Dragon Quest than Final Fantasy 🤭... greetings
If s.o. wonders what is empty memory card holder above disk it's for your own card to bring with you. no missing exclusive card here. seems like holder was in every ps2 box. Just so happened what I never seen licensed ps2 box before this vid. heh. So i googled it before write this awesome comment.
lol sorry to say, figures definitely are a gateway to having no more money :P I used to be a purely physical collection kind of guy, but then lost a bunch of my stuff to some unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances... and honestly, now i don't mind digital. Like... yeah there is a small chance that devs might pull the rug on the game you got, but there hasnt been a single case of that for games that arent purely online gameplay (like The Crew 1). And even if the devs take the game out of Steam, people who bought it get to keep them in their libraries and install them whenever they feel like... Even The Crew I still have it on steam and can install it... just cant play it cuz Ubisoft took out the servers. But things like fable 3 and deadpool which were taken out years ago due to licensing issues... if you bought them back when they were being sold on steam, you can still install them and play them through steam without any issues. Not to mention, nowadays with handheld PCs... owning more than 1 pc lets me install my digital games wherever and however many times as I want without needing to find where my disk or cartridge are. But I do admit, i do miss my physical collection... just being able to look at it all neatly organized on a shelf ... sigh
xi is honestly the one game i really just dont know much about! i did recently look into it a bit more for an upcoming video tho and it seemed really ahead of its time
@@trevortylerlee Oh, definitely! By far my favorite content on there is the stuff approaching enterprise gear, which is what Jake does. Certainly not hating, just roasting his nail care :b
I miss Manuals so bad
I feel that, i've been getting physical releases for my ps5 if they offer them but like you said they usually lack manuals, nowadays you usually just get a single card with a redeemable item or a qr code if ur lucky lol
soo trueee
Me to, it’s not the same anymore
FFX was a defining game for the PS2. I still remember the first time I watched the trailer.
I feel you, for a 2001 PS2 game it definitely still holds up to this very day.
@@BakugoDynamight It sure does.

It is absolutely a gateway to more figure collecting XD

your usage of dark cloud music has not gone unnoticed
thank you, my friend 🫡
Dark Cloud 2 is one of my favorite games!

ty for this awsome video im collecting the nino kuni series and i love it 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍
FYI the pointy end of the shuriken can be popped off so you can slide the weapon into her hand and then you can pop it back on
thank you! i realized that when i finished up recording and was fiddling around with it afterwards 🤦♀️ well now i know LOL
i want that art book really bad! also you should get the bring arts ff9 figures if you can they're amazing!
i got my yuffie a couple weeks ago! she's my favorite to play with

I have no figurines, but it seems like it would be fun to have a collection of the crew from FF7. Very cool additions

I need that Final Fantasy IX art book.

FFX is outstanding. Hope you enjoy it!
just recently re-bought that ff9 art book! it was my fave
I still need to finish ff9, great game so far though!
I promise you won't be disappointed, it's awesome!

You should look into getting the ff7 sticker/ postcard book and the ff8 sticker book to complete the ps1 era
I’m obsessed with final fantasy collecting as well. I bought the Japanese version of FF3 on PSP. I definitely have a problem
Love the vid!! 😊
03:45 Rinoa was definitely not that stacked haha. Still the best FF waifu to this date imho.
so true i love rinoa, she's probably my favorite too, maybe only in competition with garnet
good channel 💯

Wait what? If you don't have a modern console why will you buy FF7 Rebirth? And why digital? Rebirth is easily available on disc.
The PC preorder! It releases tomorrow :)
@@clovergirle Thats... weird.

Dude, your hands are really nice for presenting things. Especially coming from an LTT video where they zoom in on Jake showing something :/
