taylor gear Good luck mate, I've got to get my medical forms in then I am off to selection

taylor gear Funny thing you ask, they delayed my application I know got to another PDA before selection. But yeah the medical forms were fine.
+Sean Pierce ahh man that sucks a bit I've got my selection on the 23rd September what role you going for?
Infantry - Royal Anglians. What about you mate?
At 38:45 what is that playing?
Sounds like “TheDoors” , hope it helped.
It’s is my friend The Doors - back door man
Why wasn't forti in this one
@vancouver4869 think he got deployed back home due to something about his chest but not sure
Every one of them a hero!
How come there were only 3 in episode 5, what happened to the other soldier who was deployed?
Tom Allan Was sent home ill mid tour
Apparently he was dishonourably discharged for using steroids
what happened to Andrew Forti?? Why is he not mentioned?? :(
vancouver4869 he got sent home after 120 days in Afghanistan through illness.
I liked this series a lot. It should serve to remind those thinking of joining just what could potentially be required of them. It should never be lusted after, only undertaken nobly, professionally and by professionals! Seriously, not by gung ho wee kids cos it's not a ps fkn whatever fkn game.
Sorry I understand why he's not going but to the person who isn't going then don't join the army because that's what a soilders duty is to be on stand by for war and you will become a better soilder I guess you will never be a real soilder until you have gone to war it's like any job the more you do it the better you will become its like a carpenter saying its my job but I hope I don't have to work with any wood
Really enjoyed that
The British have fought 3 major campaigns Afghanistan during the British Raj days. More than a century later, the Britain are sending its mostly young men to fight another latest campaign and so far have lost more than 300 soldiers after more than a decade in Afghanistan. All this blood and toil is really for what ? To destroy AL Qaeda or the Talibans? The former been chased out while the latter remains a threat even after billions were spent to prop up a reliable govt. in Afghanistan.
got selection on 18/01/16 joining rifles!^
+Task Force Sabre Rifles is an infantry regiment so hes going ITC Catterick
+Beni Bomba harrogate is for junior soldiers
Going to catterick on the 10th this Sunday can't wait anyone else going ?
Going Pirbright for mine on the 8th
OnlineFootbalManager just curious but are you in the army now? Like did you manage training?
Where is Forti?
How absolutely disrespectful that they have disregarded him in this episode, seeing as only him and Darren actually served a tour.
The other two should be proud of themselves too but to disregard forti in this episode is out of order
I heard that he was dishonorably discharged from the army for using drugs, absolutely disgusting if you think about it, the reason he joined was to support his 3 year old son, and he went and messed it up by no fault of anyone else, he made an awful decision, his fault, he doesn’t deserve the recognition
@@zimbabweyouthoutdoors4613 yes he made a bad decision but he served in Afghanistan and witnessed a lot of things, who knows how they coped or the emotional turmoil going on in their head whilst serving out there.
@@staceydunne4317each to their own but I served 3 tours in the province, Bosnia bla bla bla but never felt the need to take drugs .. it’s a life choice I guess
@@zimbabweyouthoutdoors4613 any source on this?
I don't understand why the producers of this programme were still bothering with the two lizards who binned training
Why was Andrew not in this episode?
denis halpenny it said at the end of the last episode he was sent home due to illness
Anyone have a link for episode 4 ?, I cannot find it anywhere !. T.I.A
Tubi
Kinda sad the song they play over the boys getting to basic. "Kids with guns" by the gorillaz
Is major Chuckles still serving
yes but with 4 rifles now
thanks Dan
I was a 17 year old soldier once.....Thats life and its hard..
reddevilparatrooper but people still stick through it, and as you said it's hard since you have gone through it.
CALSW0RLD if they think this is hard (and im NOT saying it isn't) they should be thankfull things are not like it was back in 1950s national service....now THAT was hard.
Stephanie Mckeever just curious, was you in the national service? As it sounds like you where.
CALSW0RLD if this had been 1950s era training i can guarantee the officer WOULD have found fault with the inspection at the 12.10 mark...AND they would have failed..he would have been shouting, the corporal would have gotten a bolocking from the officer and the corporal would then done the same to the lads for 'not making the effort' and landing him in the shit ....and then as corrective punishment the corporal would have turned the whole room upside down to the piont it would look like a bomb had gone off in there.
CALSW0RLD no.i am irish and born in 75 (ex irish army btw) but if you compare this documentry with 'lads army' and then 'bad lads army' ...both are here on yt to watch you will see what i mean.
I can't find episode 4 anywhere?
Found it on Tubi
@@TomCastor oh really, is it still called young soldiers on tubi?
@@TomCastor found it, thank you
Anyone know what the song being played 1:30-2:15 ?
Shame about the Nokia phone quality resolution of parts 4 & 5
Where did u find part 4
Why are Ashley and Lee in this episode? They left during Phase 1 training
Roblox Is Not Dead Still though, they speak about their experiences on the show and where they are now and so and so. I don't know Ashley personally, but I had read somewhere he rejoined the army, so it's a happy ending for him.
CALSW0RLD
Good to hear, he sounded like he regretted leaving a lot
ercaif Leeracm most people do. Once when they come out they regret it, and some join up again.
07:45 good PTI. WELL DONE BOYS
Swift and Bold brother Rifleman.
the guy doing their bayonet lessons
i think he was in the sandhurst documentary
Highly unlikely as he's only a cpl in this. To be an instructor at Sandhurst he would need to be at least a sgt, more likely a colour sgt.
Where can I find episode 4. The time in Afghanistan.
Tubi
Thank you very much it is not on any movie site and I searched 7 of them
Going to join the Infantry 2 years from now.
I'm going to join up with the South African Parabats and eventually go to Pathfinders soon.
40 minutes of recap.. Guess they ran out of footage lol
What happened to RFN A Forti?????
He ended up in Afghanistan, he's in other videos with the Darren (?).
love this
Ikr
Your mum sounds fkn amazing mate, I just watched this again after years since I first saw it and she made me laugh like a fkn idiot! Cheers!
