Road noise sucks, and there is no way around that. Even if you enjoy the sound of your car, that is the motor, or intakes or turbos, or exhaust.. not the sound of your tires and traffic! In addition, cutting the overall sound floor of background noise will improve the sound of your stereo, especially if you have an upgraded system.

This is exactly what I’m doing to my E53 at the moment. Except I’m getting the dash out to replace the blower motor so I’ll do the bulkhead too.
