I was up there in the global Fruit Ninja rankings back then and was shocked to see he made a Roguelike

You might have guessed, but the name "Mega Great Jetpack" is a reference to Machine Gun Jetpack, the original working title of Jetpack Joyride.
Fun fact the dev, Luke Muscat, has a UA-cam channel where he’s got videos on both of the stories of fruit ninja and Jetpack joyride
I think the main issue with these Dome Keeper-like games is that you must spend a HUGE chunk of resources on the same basic upgrades every time you play the game. Kinda makes every run feel samey(especially the earlier part), even though it's supposed to be a roguelike.

Inspirations aside, I appreciate seeing some studios stick to the good old miniclip / flash style. Just like the ps2 era has it's place in our hearts, so does this.
The later part of the video I was like "a chest or a mystery chest could be good" .
Does emergency teleport work if you're going to be eaten and also running out of oxygen ?

The dome part of dome keeper was my least favourite part, so this game could be fun to me.
