This was very helpfu.l. It didn't solve my problem but by looking at your video I found my issue. Im my case, of the the plastic pieced which pulls the latches open were moved out of place. I just pushed it back into place by looking at how yours worked. No money spent. Thank!
I have a 2004 Tundra, got it a month ago, new front brakes and sensor and timing belt and water pump 🙁runs good, next is new tires. ✌🏼latch was inexpensive lol i’m surprised 😮

How is the handle still holding up? Would order again from this supplier? I am on my 3rd handle. Have found replacements to be a cheap piece of junk.
I have a 2004 tundra bruh one of the rods fell off I ordered a new latch how to I reconnect the rod
with that plastic clip on one side. Install in the end of the gate first. Then in the latch.
