  • WT official black belt Poomsae Sipjin for 5th Dan from Master Woo who is certified master instructor from Kukkiwon.
► Note: World Taekwondo (WT), called the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) until June 2017.
The word "Sipjin" derived from the thought of 10 longevity, which advocates there are ten creatures of long life, namely, sun, moon, mountain, water, stone, pine-tree, herb of eternal youth, tortoise, deer, and crane. They are 2 heavenly bodies, 3 natural resources, 2 plants and 3 animals, all giving human beings faith, hope and love. The poomsae Sipjin symbolizes those things.

Do you know that when you do the twin elbows strikes you do one side with the elbow on top and the other with the elbow underneath the other arm? You do it differently for each side. The Kukkiwon video shows that the elbow should be underneath the other arm for that motion.

At the very end, how did he step back into the starting stance? Did he move his right foot around to the left? (Pivoting on his left foot?)

I think so. We have this discussion as well. The only form where we return to joonbi moving the right foot.

Master, during the last section of the poomsae, is that a double punch again? Or a punch with one fist in front of your chest? The perception is throwing me off. Thank you.
