The Romanian guy lacked positive intent, he wasn't confident in his abilities, or that's what I found from the video. He just stood there waiting for him to come with the fight instead of bringing the fight to him. At first, he did try, but he lacked confidence and his kicks were a bit slow. But the American guy capitalised well, so kudos to him.
