    Decided to take that old supercharger kit and install it on my dads speed density bone stock motor. We have been low 13's full weight and interior in this car. Engine is bone stock so we figured we could see what this old V1 Atrim can do!

    Damn youre taking me back to 2006 when i installed a vortech v1 s-trim on my ac deleted 93 notch. I am still running the same set up today. Back then turbo technology and 1500.00 kits were just being thought of, And back then figuring out the belt situation wasnt as easy as checking you tube or facebook forums. Corral.net was my go to.. on mine i switched to the 3.8 thunderbird ps pulley which is larger in diameter and gets the belt further from the wp pulley. I dont have to run the tensioner but i do and had to drill the extra hole like you did. The way i get my belt off is to take the long upper ps bolt out and loosen the lower one, then rotate the whole pump assembly down towards the driver side fender. Take the belt off or put it back on, push it back into place reinstall the upper bolt. Cant wait to see yours done.

    Good to see u bro !! Hey man I have a big Flex-a-lite fan 185 I was thinking about just running a toggle switch!! Lmr has a kit that but u have to get a new thermostat housing with a plug in kit comes with a sensor goes into the thermostat housing then u wire it to ur fan then I guess u set the temp!! But what do u think man a toggle switch with a fuse link?? Really don't have money for shit like that but I am afraid to go down the road in forget to turn fan on!! Guy's stay safe out there man!!

    was that a PS puddle under the car at the beginning of the video? As for worrying about the electric fuel pumps running lean, I agree with the single pump--KISS. if there are two pumps, wiring in a deadman switch so that one pump taking a vacation causes a break and shuts things down would be good. Also, you can buy a fuel pump oil pressure safety switch from Jegs and elsewhere for $20. It runs into your oil pressure gauge and when that drops too low, it shuts off the fuel--that and an oil cooler might be "cheap" insurance against a blower setup snacking off the oil pan if you plan on keeping the power package for a long time.
    too bad when companies designed the superchargers, they didn't have 'em store a little extra and act like an AccuSump scenario :)

      not to be a backseat driver, but since he had to swap radiator hoses, I woulda plucked that rad. Not difficult to bash the fins and now you're got an extra job. Makes for a scoosh more room to work in, too.

      @@Neomustangs that's awesome partner ! I've always loved cars,y first car was an 86 light blue Foxbody GT I was 13 when I got it . I can drive the hell out of cars but never worked on them. I was heavy in to sports like hockey boxing Mixed Martial Arts . I'm 40 now my body is beat to shit lol so now I'm leaning a lot more on how to work on these things and let the cars take the beating . You can always fix a motor or replace we've only got this one body, so cars is it now 👍 my 90 notch built 351 is my high now .

    The belt problems stem from the fact that when the power steering is moved ‘up’, it still sits lower than what the AC did. I got a simple bracket from ASP that triangles the WP and PS and like you said, tensions up instead of down. I believe the cobra wp pulley is smaller so it spins a little faster, not bigger. I got it on my Saleen. Keep up the good work!

    How do you consistently have great success with your builds on stock blocks? Is it the tune, rpm limit? All i ever hear is anything over 450whp on a stock block is suicide, yet you defy the logic. I have a sn95 347 stroker with a kb supercharger at 15psi and i had a crack in the webbing, getting it rebuilt as we speak.

    • @Neomustangs
      @Neomustangs  4 роки тому +2

      Tune and RPM limit is a good gauge for sure. The devils in the details and the little things always matter with the builds too.
