Decided to take that old supercharger kit and install it on my dads speed density bone stock motor. We have been low 13's full weight and interior in this car. Engine is bone stock so we figured we could see what this old V1 Atrim can do!

Love the videos man! Cool stuff going old-school.
Glad you like them! Appreciated.
Damn youre taking me back to 2006 when i installed a vortech v1 s-trim on my ac deleted 93 notch. I am still running the same set up today. Back then turbo technology and 1500.00 kits were just being thought of, And back then figuring out the belt situation wasnt as easy as checking you tube or facebook forums. Corral.net was my go to.. on mine i switched to the 3.8 thunderbird ps pulley which is larger in diameter and gets the belt further from the wp pulley. I dont have to run the tensioner but i do and had to drill the extra hole like you did. The way i get my belt off is to take the long upper ps bolt out and loosen the lower one, then rotate the whole pump assembly down towards the driver side fender. Take the belt off or put it back on, push it back into place reinstall the upper bolt. Cant wait to see yours done.
Haha just for fun. Bored between vlogs of my black car and such. we gonna turbo this car too !
When i said i wanted to see your car done, I was meaning your dads running with the blower. Lol
Really digging your vids bro. Can't wait to see what power she makes. Cool trick with the air temp sensor too.
Thx man.
4.10’s and a Vortech, should be a blast 😈
Yes sir. Then we go turbo
Neomustangs Nice 👍 I might spray mine this week BOOM 💥 ...... then turbo it 😂
I had 3.73’s with a b trim Vortech in the 90’s. It was lots of fun. Mid 11’s at the track. Drive it anywhere! The way a car should be.
Yes
Haha
Good stuff.
Sn95 v6 power steering pump pulley can give you some extra clearance.
thx did not know that.
"we live dangerously around here" lmao...funny shit!
That car is clean! I appreciate these SC videos, I'm leaning towards the Supercharging my 87 SD, so bring it! 👍
Haha thx.
Do you have to alter anything else about the car or does the supercharger kit come with everything you need? I didn’t know about the transmission or anything
I used to see the supercharger kits in jegs back in the day. Couldn't afford them tho. Had the flowmasters, gears pulleys etc. Ha
Ha ya, i do recall that. I still had the intake cover too! I found it today in a box of parts i didnt go thru when i got the car.!
Good to see u bro !! Hey man I have a big Flex-a-lite fan 185 I was thinking about just running a toggle switch!! Lmr has a kit that but u have to get a new thermostat housing with a plug in kit comes with a sensor goes into the thermostat housing then u wire it to ur fan then I guess u set the temp!! But what do u think man a toggle switch with a fuse link?? Really don't have money for shit like that but I am afraid to go down the road in forget to turn fan on!! Guy's stay safe out there man!!
Just key on with a simple relay. Be done with it. No toggles.
@@Neomustangs Thanks bro!!!
was that a PS puddle under the car at the beginning of the video? As for worrying about the electric fuel pumps running lean, I agree with the single pump--KISS. if there are two pumps, wiring in a deadman switch so that one pump taking a vacation causes a break and shuts things down would be good. Also, you can buy a fuel pump oil pressure safety switch from Jegs and elsewhere for $20. It runs into your oil pressure gauge and when that drops too low, it shuts off the fuel--that and an oil cooler might be "cheap" insurance against a blower setup snacking off the oil pan if you plan on keeping the power package for a long time.
too bad when companies designed the superchargers, they didn't have 'em store a little extra and act like an AccuSump scenario :)
I was going to say how did you know what size belt to use? Then I saw the pile of belts lol 👍👍 looks like the fins of that radiator got your hand pretty good ... by the way that cars sounds nice !
Haha ya lots of belts and knuckle busting here
not to be a backseat driver, but since he had to swap radiator hoses, I woulda plucked that rad. Not difficult to bash the fins and now you're got an extra job. Makes for a scoosh more room to work in, too.
How long you been working on Mustangs brotha. I always learn something new watching your content I appreciate it.

@@Neomustangs that's awesome partner ! I've always loved cars,y first car was an 86 light blue Foxbody GT I was 13 when I got it . I can drive the hell out of cars but never worked on them. I was heavy in to sports like hockey boxing Mixed Martial Arts . I'm 40 now my body is beat to shit lol so now I'm leaning a lot more on how to work on these things and let the cars take the beating . You can always fix a motor or replace we've only got this one body, so cars is it now 👍 my 90 notch built 351 is my high now .
Nice !!
Great video. I recently purchased a 91 GT and the guy included a V1 A Trim that he planned to install. I've decided not to install it and stay naturally aspirated. How much are these old A Trims worth if I wanted to sell it? Thanks again for the great video.
1500 ish? Works well with a stock motor and fmu
@@Neomustangs Sounds good. Appreciate your reply. I'm definitely sell it.
Is it the same concept for a 1998 mercury mountaineer same 5.0 block design
close
if you use a ps pulley off a 94 v6 mustang, it will fix the serp belt problem
I think its the supercharger belt not lining up imo.
@@Neomustangs i mean using the supercharger on an ac deleted engine. you wont have to modify the tensioner like that. a v6 mustang ps pulley is much bigger.
How does this have 2 thumbs down? Some people just have to be negative . My ride home today ended in a misfire thats a suspected head gasket ,if so time for the 351swap
Oh snap I’m sorry
so how did it turn out?
Belt driven turbo. Not the perfect situation but if I had one laying around and had a car wo boost and didn’t have a turbo...
IM only doing it because it was there. And im bored between builds. But ya.
Aka, Centrifugal Supercharger. 😎
@@EJ257IHI lol
Nice...
Thx
This car looks exactly like mine, same color and everything
Post it if you can.
@@Neomustangs I've been trying to post a pic and for some reason I can't
The belt problems stem from the fact that when the power steering is moved ‘up’, it still sits lower than what the AC did. I got a simple bracket from ASP that triangles the WP and PS and like you said, tensions up instead of down. I believe the cobra wp pulley is smaller so it spins a little faster, not bigger. I got it on my Saleen. Keep up the good work!
I couldn’t remember. I just like to add stuff like that to videos. Cause people don’t know there’s a diff between stock and cobra.
“I also like to live dangerously” Austin powers voice
haha
Where can ya find that smaller smog pully, I have that belt problem with mine.
I think its just a smog pulley delete. Thats what i looks like.
Neomustangs also on the next video, can you show what a proper supercharger belt tension looks like.
Can I use a speed density supercharger on my 89? My brother has an 87 and will sell me his.
Sure
@@Neomustangs sweet!!!!!
How do you consistently have great success with your builds on stock blocks? Is it the tune, rpm limit? All i ever hear is anything over 450whp on a stock block is suicide, yet you defy the logic. I have a sn95 347 stroker with a kb supercharger at 15psi and i had a crack in the webbing, getting it rebuilt as we speak.
Tune and RPM limit is a good gauge for sure. The devils in the details and the little things always matter with the builds too.
Eres un buen mecánico ocupo que me vendas un turbo kit para un Mustang 5.8 barato
I didnt understand the text. Sorry
What part of Ohio you from.
Nice video how much boost
Prob only like 5-6
Engine all stock

I’ll rather you show us putting the parts on then talking. About 4mins in I was like 😐
Man I don’t have a helmet cam! Lol.
