I bought the course last week guys. It’s awesome. He shares so much more there than he does here on YT. Using it for my my 10 and 11 year old. Baseball and softball. And will use it for my two youngest when the time comes. Not being paid to share this. Just sharing because it is quality content.
Just rewatching this for upcoming season. At 10:00 mark, the explanation on when to extend, and the direction toward 2nd baseman makes a lot of sense. I had not caught that before and you’re right, the previous setup steps can all be great but if not extending at that point, it’s all wasted if short arming the swing at impact.
Matt, great video. I’ve tried explaining these same concepts to my son and other players since 11U - wish I had this video 7 years ago. My son is in his first year of college now and I hope the coaches enforce at least half of what you teach. If not we will be taking a Summer vacation to the Boston area and spending time with you for a week.
One of the best videos I’ve seen on batting
Thanks!!
Great video! The subtle pullback clip was great. I had done some drills early on with Rob (green shirt kid from 2nd week of your camp last year) which got him in the habit of pulling back to much thinking this is where some if the power was generated this will help in correcting that!! Thanks!!
Great video I liked the guy working with outfielders the other day need more of him on channel
Will do!
Great lesson
I think it would be helpful when they are starting this drill to move the bag back. It looked to me like she was getting forward trying to reach with her arms at first.
We are dinner with her parents tonight. Her father was asking if I ever watched your videos. I told his for years now. Then he told me he took his daughter to work with you. My son who is her age found this video right after I told him about it. That's crazy.
Small world!
@@AntonelliBaseball Indeed it is. He showed me the show mo of before and after. Incredible work in that short of time. I have been working with my son on that all off season. You have great content.
Matt can you tell me which flat / half bats you use in your training sessions - Thank You…..
Great stuff Matt! Been following you for few years now. You’re about 4 hours from me but I might have to bite the bullet and bring my 15 yr old daughter to you for a few sessions.
Thanks and sounds great!!
when the young woman is driving balls in the gap, she will rember this. much respect
What kind of paddle is that?
Bought it off Etsy lol
@@AntonelliBaseball I searched paddle bat on Etsy and there's some uhh.. NSFW stuff
Matt you could be a hitting coach in the majors. Why?
That about a 5ft pvc?
Right around there, but we have a bunch of different sizes. I would use something about a foot longer than a normal bat
@@AntonelliBaseball thanks 👍🏼
I don’t think people should be hitting with their hands so far out in front. You’ve got weak points leaking power, the wrists and elbows. That weakens hits.
