Great video Coach! Love and firmly believe in this analysis
She has one of my fav swings ever
Any fixes for if they are dropping their hands before they get into that tilt?
How about a step by step video on teaching this swing?
Need some help with my 10 year old softball player. Dropping hands. Also hitting mentality. She is always looking for a ball when at plate and not a strike. Always late to the ball or doesn't swing at all. Thank you
Does the amount you tilt back dictate attack angle? For young players should they tilt less to hit more line drives?
I haven’t found many players, especially young players that tilt too much or hit too many fly balls because of tilting too much. If they hit a lot of fly balls it’s usually because of something else in my opinion
No. Always hit the middle of the ball and you are hitting line drives just at a better launch angles of somewhere between 10 & 45 degrees!
I know this is a 3 year old video but I have a question. Disclaimer I am a travel ball hitting coach. First thing I see, this is a rise ball with a vicious back spin, so a lot of the power and velocity of the ball comes from the actual pitch it self. Second this girl has a compact swing. Not much going on from the legs as far as load she’s actually just turning on the ball. A lot of girls in d1 do this so they can catch up with the ball. So the question I’m asking myself is. Was this a proper example for this video.
And lastly I use your videos for reference all the time. There is no one that does this sport the way you do so I would love to see more in depth videos.
