XBOX controller is more appropriate I like that 😆. Speaking of this controller I noticed it's used a bunch of buget rc planes and jets. This one in part for the FX9630 is really bad sadly. Maybe 80 meter range. Anyday will have the new Feixiong FX9631 brushless J-35 here also with same controller, but says 200 meter range. Any TX RX Protocol hobby Grade transmitter will bind up to the FX9630 for solution.
You're gonna need a R.C. Chinook helicopter now to rescue both your plane & truck.

This is about the right model for someone who uses the term “tail wings” and calls the elevons “rear rudders” - and that’s ok, you can call them whatever you want. You really can’t compare a micro jet to a Corsair. This is pretty cool for practicing high alpha before doing it on my big jets I think I’ll get one.

The Chengdu J-20 Mighty Dragon is a fith generation twinjet all-weather stealth fighter aircraft. Not fourth generation. That would be the 80's and before made fighter jets like the J-10 in china F-16 Fighting Falcon, the F/A-18 Hornet in Murica or the MiG-29 Fulcrum or Sukhoi SU-27-35 in Russia.
Thats right! You know i watched some videos on it the night before too. Its a big badass jet I really like it. Id take a J-20, every American Jet, all those fast Migs, but my #1 choice if they made it and they could of used this system, a BlackBird 😎

If you measure the diameter of the EDF duct you can probably fit a brushless EDF from Minimum RC and a Lemox RX board that has a gyro and output for brushless 10a ESCs. It already had two servos for Elevons built in. Use a 2s 400mah lipo. I did a similar modification to a toy twin EDF free flight glider from Banggood. It was super fun and quite fast. The only problem is I had to glue lots of carbon rod wing and fuselage spars reinforcement cause the EPP foam was so floppy it would flap the wings like a bird at high speed. lol

This J20 is a good solid two piece mold and some extra room inside for aftermarket system. After this Brushless J35 FX9631 I will get right to making them faster

The gyro sets to how it sits when you turn it on, try with wheels off and hand launch , suspect it will trim better and not have that nose up trying to stall all the time .
Good idea! So im gonna try the replacement mother board I pray is 2s. It does try to belly flop huh, if you aim her down to gain speed it plains out better, then just keep it smooth to keep the speed. It must get close to 50mph she can cover some ground
Wheels were a pain to get in with fingers. The pics inside the manual aren't accurate to the wheels I got too. Mine had one with a ',dog leg-type' bend to it.
Still though, for $38+tax, it's a hella good deal.
That reminds me I'm upgrading the wheels on these to larger foam tires for a cool easy upgrade

ok, so there was a mistake that you made, correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure you have the throttle at zero when you turn the controller on and the plane. (at 5:22)
It turns on without throttle power you have to unlock by moving throttle stick up and down. Good question

Thanks brotha! Good questions they were translated well. It uses its dual motors like a rudder as well by making one motor push more to turn left, or right. It has really good control surprisingly. I just got the 2s 7.4 volt version and flew it today. They are all 2s now. I will finish video tomorrow and have the info your looking for

A subscriber and friend sent me a 7.6v 380mah to test and it has a JST to XT30 adapter I'm testing as soon as I get a better controller. Speaking of this jet. The rtr controller is soo bad I literally can't fly it off it anymore it just looses signal crashes. I'm mad at the seller lol

@eligebrown8998 thanks brotha! I'd reccomend the simulator for a game, but these buget planes and jets are durable and easy to fly. If you can drive a rc car you can fly that easy. Start with a voltanex type plane like my F4U Corsair or this FX9630. Basic knowledge of the controls and you can fly and learn to be pro instantly. For level 2 I think this $80 new brushless J35 FX9631 and XK 787 will be great. Even those $30 jets with two propellers are fast great beginners. They all have gyros to fly themselves you just steer basically. I think real pilots should learn to fly to rc plane before a real one

Great Topic! Heres a cool fact I'll mention next video. While the US(the west) classifys the F-22 F-35 and Chinese J-20 as 5th Gen, China classifys these as 4th Gen. That crossed my mind.

So Chinese 4th gen is equivalent to a 5th gen and they have similar technology. A Chinese 4th gen is more advance, than a 4th gen F16? Idk

There is by swapping better electronics basically the full system. It uses 30mm edf fan motors which are available brush and brushless. I have the 2s version coming anyday and we will get right to modifying my old 1s 3.7v version. The 2s might benefit from a slighty larger 2s lipo ill try right away

The controller needs improvement, but it works good. Theres a few sellers look for the seller where the package includes the 400mah 2s. I got the 1s og version here. 2s versions havent had any complaints
for $40 and having gyro, servo elevons, it's not bad at all

Perfect rc Aircraft for a beginner. I would say it's not too fast. It's speed is similar to any beginner buget rc air craft. This has more potential, because it can be upgraded to please a expert.
It the Safest and most durable rc plane you can get. No exposed fan blades to break on crashes, or not to accidentally cut a finger. Best plane for a wild child lol

i saw this on Aliexpress but the description does not state wether it has a 2ch, 3ch, or 4channel radio?
And it States it runs on an included 2s-7.4volt LiPo but the charger and batt in the pictures are both 1s-3.7volt.
In your video i can see it is at least a 3ch or at least a 3.5ch radio and the LiPo looks to be a 1s since it does not have a balance lead on it. The store you mentioned has it listed as a 2s-7.4V so i guess thats not correct. But it still looks and flies nice!

They are 2s now updated. I believe its 4channel. 2 motors and two servos four independent power sytems that need channels, but throttle could be considered 1 ch, so Maybe just 3ch. The controller is from a cheap drone for sure. It needs one like the other buget planes. Get it! I found a new system I can put in mine when i can order it lol. Come along on our J2 Journey lol

I was also thinking it would probably be an easy upgrade project. Maybe an inexpensive Flysky radio or i plan on getting either the new eFlight SR71 -OR- the f14 with the wings that swing WHILE IN THE AIR!!!! So i will be getting a Spektrum Radio to go with the AS3X SAFE , so i could add a SAFE receiver. a brushless Air ESC is cheap, heck spektrum makes a dual brushless motor Air ESC! But i have to wait to see if it uses mixed mode between the motors as part of the flight control method and also see if it has 3 wire or 5 wire servos in it. I had the XK A100 Propeller prop jet and a hawk ATTACKED IT! Seriously, it took it down man, it was AWESOME!
I had a 3 year warranty on it through Amazon so got my money back and got the XK A800 5ch what i would call a cross between a sail plane and a trainer, more trainer i suppose. It is getting a brushless upgrade now. Wanted to tell you there is a guy in Canada that sells a homebrew PCB that takes the PWM signal from the OEM ESC in that A800 and lets you use the signal with your own ESC!!!!
Its $20 bucks. If it will work with this Jet i will let you know and send you the weblink.

It can be bound to a multi-protocol transmitter like a Radiomaster TX16s, protocol is FX, sub-protocol 9630. This makes it MUCH easier / smoother to fly. Uses 4 channels (AETR) plus channel 6 for 3D/6G.

@Jiftervr it can get some speed in a dive and keep going, but looses it all in corners with it's programming that brings nose up. The FX9631 can do loops has 4 flaps more scale
