I hope so too! I think I remember seeing it on lensrentals for under $100 to rent for a week. I use mine for travel all the time with a battery bank to keep it topped off throughout the day. Good luck finding one!
Oh yeah! I had several friends that had the x100f for a while after I had sold my x100t that’s what ultimately led me to getting the V when it came out.
@@brandongoodyear2468 all Panasonic cameras have great menus, are fully customizable, and the AF for photography is just as good as Fuji's. Have shot Fuji for years and really the only thing my GX9 misses are the Fuji film simulations and the joystick. The small pancakes might not give you the same shallow DOF you get with the x100 series, but with IBIS you get into a territory of longer exposure that it is just not possible with this Fuji. Also, 20Mp are yes not as many as 26, but generally more than enough.
These are all the points why I'm considering getting one too. I went from a Canon R6 (too big - ended up never taking it anywhere, too expensive and limiting lens choice) to a Sony A6400, which I like but feels a bit clinical, soulless and again a bit big when paired with a decent lens. By the way, did you shoot this on the X100v too?
I hear ya on it! I shot this on my fx3, I have a video in the works that I’m planning on using the x100v for as a bit of a proof of concept. One of my friends got a xt30 & 27mm lens recently it’s pretty fantastic, essentially the same size & like half the cost. Though I personally am still more drawn to the x100 series
Definitely! If you keep an eye out at the mom & pop camera shops around the country the seem to intermittently show up at retail price & they’ll usually ship too.
It will be everything people say about it when Fuji puts an Image Stabilization System in it. Until then it's beaten in its own realm by any camera with a good ISS and a short lens - X-T5, Alpha 7..., R5, ...
for sure! image stabilization would be absolutely fantastic in it and make it a video beast. the leaf shutter helps offset not having it thankfully. if they put the sensor & ibis system from the xh2s in the next version that might be enough for me to upgrade haha
The limit in video really doesn’t make sense to me considering the generation of sensor, processor etc that’s in it. My best guess is the battery is the main limitation (it really only gets like 45mins of shooting video on a charge)
No point in buying an X100V now. At this point, wait until the VI comes out or just buy an F for half the price of the V. No point in overpaying for 3 year old technology. The step up in quality of the V over the T/F is noticeable but it won’t make you a better photographer and let’s be honest, the older X100 cameras will still get you 90%+ of the shots you’d get on the V.
I totally hear ya at this point in the life cycle it's a great idea to wait until the next iteration comes out or get one of the older ones for significantly less. however! I'm a huge proponent of getting the thing that gets you out taking photos and while the cost on the x100v is insane right now on the resale market, if it's the thing that helps more people fall in love with photography then I'm here for it. the fantastic thing with fuji is that there are so many options for people at all sorts of budget ranges.
Yes.. all my cameras seam to date with a new version being released.. not the same storey for the x100v.. this one’s a keeper
Staying in the moment… Great point, and one I related to immediately.
You should make a video on how you set up the exposure to live view button?
it's on my list to make a follow up! want to dive a little deeper into using it as a full stack content creation camera.
Great insights on the camera!!
Thanks Sidney!
Another great one, any video about x100v video settings
Yeah! Just released one last week!

I cant even rent this camera, i realy want to take it on a trip but no chance for me. Hopefully a new model will be released soon

I love my x100f, I even got both coverter adapters

Nice video!✨ can you do a video about the flash?😊
yeah! I actually have it in the works right now! will be out in a couple weeks
Solved it with a Lumix gx9 and a couple of pancake lenses - and it even has ibis. For under $700
I've heard a lot of great things about the GX9! I had a GH4 back in the day and loved it.

i dont wanna spend nearly 2k on it BUT i want it so bad

Doesn’t need it in my opinion. can hold it steady or rest it on something
Only 15 minutes. What's the limitation? Why can't it just allow any size MicroSD card...

It’s not worth $2000 USED. People are really losing their minds.
Haha oh for sure! Definitely don’t need to buy it for more than msrp. There are more than enough options out there
People are still ordering and buying at MSRP
Why is he talking like he‘s gonna start crying
