    I have 2015 scout I would say the most annoying things are the dark red gage light that makes it hard to see how fast you’re going at night and no fuel gage. Yes the seat is like sitting on bricks and yes the shocks suck but those are easy to change.

      I have maybe ridden once at night lol. Don't honestly remember what my gauge looks like in the dark haha, but pretty sure they got rid of the red lights.

    The oil seepage one i can definitely see because I work on semis and equipment and its common to do like a valve cover gasket, torque it all to spec and you’ll have to come back a week or so later when the gasket finally settled and retorque it all and there’s nothing you can do to prevent it other then deal with it🤷🏻‍♂️

    I have the 2020 model, and I researched the bike enough before the purchase to know that I’d be spending another grand or two to get the bike just the way I wanted it.
    I foolishly sprung for Indian’s misnamed “comfort” seat only to discover that it was only moderately better than the stock medieval torture device, so I ordered a custom Corbin. That was the best mod I’ve done. I then went with V&H slashcuts, a Trask Performance intake, and a PV3 tuner from Fuel Moto. I also ordered an Ends Cuoio saddlebag. Love it.
    My second best mod was a pair of Super Shox designed specifically for the Indian Scout Bobber. They’re a game changer and much less expensive than the Fox offering.
    At that point I thought I was done (silly me) but then I added the absolutely wonderful McCruise electronic cruise control.
    But yeah, the obnoxious QR stickers are just trashy and should be removed at get-ready by the dealer, and the ridiculous Trip Meter 1 gets on my nerves too. Just why?
    Great video. Ride safe bro.

    Just got the 500 mile work done on my 2021 Scout Bobber 20. Also impressed with the bike. Love the design. Are there things I would change? The turn signals are a pain and don’t deactivate as I’m used to them doing when I had my Harley coming out of turns, but I do notice when I put them on too early for a turn they will turn off. The seat is a literal pain in the @ss after a few hours riding, but I plan on changing that out once i find one I like. Great video. Bike sounds great!

      @@mistahozzy I haven’t had mine in the rain much yet, but has been ok on the wet streets so far. For my daily commute I need to be on the interstate for 20 minutes and it’s ok for me. Having that 6th gear on the bobber Twenty makes it easy to move around in traffic. There isn’t a windshield, so if you’re worried about the wind knocking you around you might want to grab one to throw on for highway speeds. Again, for my 20 minutes it’s ok, but everyone is different.

    The unfortunate reality seems to be that a comfortable seat must be wide, the wider, likely the better. However, it won't do the looks of the bike any good, but I believe in function over form.

    I mean, well you DID buy a bobber. What did you expect? A nice cushy tushy ride like a soft tail? Electra glide? Come on man, The bike is what it is. A bobber. Not really known for comfort. Todays bobbers are nothing like the old school bobbers. Hard pan seats barely covered in leather with hair pin springs, springer front ends, REAL hard tail rear ends, minimal, if any fenders, no turn signals, if you were lucky you had one mirror and no electric start. Just a calf busting, bone breaking kick start. And a lot of the bobbers either had drag bars of ape hangers that would reach to the moon.

    • @Jimbobbington
      @Jimbobbington  3 роки тому +2

      I'm guessing you are talking about the issues with air in the brakes in earlier models, which has been corrected, I haven't had any issues with my brakes, abs they seem to have plenty of stopping power overall. As for speed, not sure where you got that info, but the bobber is easily capable of all over 100 mph. 2nd gear can hit 80 mph if you take it to redline, and even stock speed is limited around 125. I've found myself going well over 100 several times, and it happens fast.
