Seems they have built less of a synth, and more of an instrument. I could hear your pouring the expression into that, and the synth responding beautifully. I have one on order and every video like this just gets me so excited.
Christmas will be about a month late for me when the UB-Xa is expected to hit the States. But thank you for your work on the development of this synth. Listening to this, and your other videos on the UB, you created some beautiful sounds for this machine, and I can’t wait to be able to play them. Merry Christmas and Happy New Gear from Los Angeles.
P.S. - I got a kick out of the old OB-Xa designation. That would be a collector’s item if B allowed you to keep it.

It’s indeed the Behringer UB-Xa. The enclosure is from a very early prototype. Electronic parts are Rev D, so the second last.

The label say OB-Xa not UB-Xa. I can see it's the Behringer one, but can they use the OB-Xa moniker?

It’s a split sound. Upper patch, “wonderworld SK”, is part of the factory library (bank c). The lower bass preset is part of the producer pack I made for this synth. Maybe it’s important to mention that there is no reverb or whatsoever fx used, in other words it’s bone dry what you hear.

Same to you! Well, I had them (UB-Xa and OB-Xa, not the OB-X8) on top of each other for more than two years and recreated a few sounds as close as possible making them basically indistinguishable. The other day I rearranged my synth setup and came to the conclusion, that the UB-Xa is strong enough to stand its own ground. It’s now in good company with Polysix, Roland Juno 60, 106 et al.

Why does this board say "OB-Xa" on the top left front panel instead of "UB-Xa" as in your previous videos and others online?
Early prototypes were labelled like that. You probably know the rest of the story between Behringer and Oberheim.

Why bother with the OB-Xa logo? Nobody cares or will believe you. Lemme guess - you put an Oberheim logo on the back too. Hahaha
As I explained before the early prototypes were labelled like this before Behringer gave all rights back to Oberheim.

I think you need to check your eyes or your ears, better both.
They look pretty close to me, there were even a few mistakes in there. Maybe the video and audio is out of sync on your system.
