Somewhere out there, there are Juno purests who are keeping their old synths all original. I am glad they are doing this. Because it lets the rest of us off the hook. We don't owe it to the world to keep old synths the way we found them, dilapidating and deteriorating, or not being played as often as they should because they lack the basic modern features that are now a part of our everyday lives. Some people in the comments have called this a performance synth. But that is not what it is. This is a synth that is going to set in your studio and be your go-to polysynth. As such, it needs to work well with your setup. I suspect that adding midi would make this a more powerful instrument for how you intend to use it.
Thanks for your thoughts! I am still unsure, what to do. Until now I just changed two broken switches and a fader. Cleaned and lubed the others. The new wooden panels make it look like new after some intensive cleaning. Next step will be to change the capacitors on the PSU to remove a light hum. The Tubbutec Midi-Kit still looks tempting. But for now I will enjoy the fun triggering the Juno Arp with a drum machine! On the other hand I am also very happy with my Vecoven PWM modded JX-8P. 😀

Hello, I'm a new subscriber, while scrolling through UA-cam videos on Synthesizers I noticed your channel, had viewed merely a Mom or two and immediately subscribed to your channel. Here's what I have to offer you in the way of being a complete novice to a obvious master of the Synth world.. What you might want to do is probably just leave it alone. I've discovered you can't improve on perfection. If it's not broken, don't try to fix it. Unless, it has arrived needing a thorough cleaning up in the esthetics and sound, don't try to improve on it. I myself am located in the United States, I've owned a couple of analog synths in my time, and the only request I might have is getting a monosynth without any type of digital enhancement. When you had mentioned Bheringer synths, I immediately checked out the video. I would absolutely enjoy getting my hands on a Bheringer MS-1, I found one on eBay for a rather acceptable price, I just barely missed out on the Auction. Kinda sad, it hadn't made me feel as though I should quit my searching for a really nice one. I'm looking for a 2600, the price is really changing over time. I enjoy your channel and will continue to watch it..

@@winesynths Ja, hätt ich mal alles behalten was so hatte .. 106, System 100, Prodigy, Prophet 5, Space Echo, MS-10, DW-8000 ... usw. :(( ...
Hat was! Grüß schön bei Synthholz und frag nach dem Wine&Synths Rabattcode! 😉 Der macht wirklich schöne Sachen!
Erm Deepmind?
Having owned one, I still don't get the facination. Without the CHORUS it literally sounds as flat as a pancake, because of the single digital controlled oscillator. Can we please move on from this and the DX??
Don't break the original chassis. MIDI is not worth it, you can anyway sync it via arp clock.
Probably the best thing to do! I‘m still undecided!
At least, perforate the wood sides :)
@@reidhauke3389 I saw one with the Midi Sockets in the wooden base plate. Not a bad idea, when the Juno is on a stand.
Juno 6 für 120 DM 1994
Back then it was Elektroschrott! 😁
Ugh. It’s such a struggle trying to follow this guys speech.
Maybe it's because I am a producer, and you are only a DJ?! 🤓 Cool classic records on your channel, btw! Subscribed! 😘🍀
@@winesynths no, I’m pretty sure it’s because you do not speak English well. It has nothing to do with your profession. It’s your pronunciation of words😊
It's all on purpose: ua-cam.com/video/Hmy-N4AFNDM/v-deo.html
@@djflik maybe you have some comprehension deficit? Seems easy to follow for me
@@lindsaywebb1904 no, I’m pretty sure it’s him. He already admitted to doing it purposely. Thanks for your concern though. 🤷🏻♂️
would have been nice if anyone but behringer made it.
I had a Juno 6 in the 90’s I paid $200 but I sold it later because I wanted a Juno 60 😅 its a nice sounding synth but I still have my JX3P , never selling it.
The absolute magic lies in the combination of the snappy Juno basses and arps with the lush and wide pads of the Jupiter-6/8/3P/8P! 🤩
@@winesynths no kidding at one point I had a Juno 6 and a 3P/8P/10P and Jupiter 6 they all go well together, like butter and bread.
A perfect match, as Synth sommeliers like to say! 🥂
