Hi Diane, this is the third identical comment you've made. Usually that's what bots do. If you're a bot, of course you won't tell me, but if you're a real person, please say something different so I know to not report your account.
Hi Andy! I wasn’t ready for this when I watched the tutorial at the time it came out, but I think I’m there now. I was able to greatly improve my honeycomb stitch by making some washcloths over the holidays. I just re-watched this and other tutorials, and I am once again impressed with the beautiful simplicity of your designs and the wonderful way you teach! I’m going to look at my dk yarn and make some choices. I now have a lot of dk yarn-so it is lion brand mandala, which comes in interesting striping color ways. I’m not sure how that would look on these shawls though. I also have bamboo yarn-in the States we have Lion brand yarns called Coboo and Truboo, and I have some in my stash. I’ll let you know when I give it a try!
Glad you got to this point! It will become easier now that you know theses stitches. If you want to use the self striping yarn, you can, but it will result in a fabric where the stripes become narrower towards the edge. I like solid colors or long gradients for this kind of construction, but experiment and see what you like.
@@YarnAndy Thanks! One of the first things I made in Tunisian crochet was a face scrubby using short rows, a couple of years ago with your tutorial. I think I’m going to try this shawl soon. I’ll go with my DK bamboo yarn. It has a lovely sheen and nice solid colors.
Hi Wendy! There's no link because the written pattern isn't free on the blog, but it's free as a video. Once you make a few rows by following the video, you can keep going on your own. There's also the PDF with a "pay what you want" option on both my shop and Ravelry, the links are in the description.
