All I have to say, is this guy isn't great musician, whatever you think of Tool, playing this shit AND singing, I've seen very few like him, and myself that try to play the guitar or bass lines and sing at the same time! Props, he's great, period. Fucking hard stuff

@@Parrish_Muhoberac dude I've tried the Grudge on bass and sing, andan no way for me right now, too different, syncopation on the bass compared to the vocals varies wildly, I'll try it some more when I have a chance, but I can sing and play Schism all the way and bass, and most of 46 2 and bass, and the pot is hard at the beginning to sing and play the bass line, but it get easiers as the song goes on

I am doing "RIGHT IN TWO", but I pretty much know every song before the 10,000 days album backwards, so please, give me an IDEA of what you and your friends would like to see. @@ricardomartinezxx I can do 46 and 2 acoustic if you want, plus I have an electric version of "THE POT" I did with a friend who does the Keyboards and Drums, I normally do Vocals and Guitars and Bass.. I would like to say to everybody who has thankfully made positive comments on my videos.. I think I should explain WHY I do these songs, and why they come out better than anything else I do... it's simply because THE MESSAGE ITSELF is what matters most to me. And, these songs are incredibly difficult which also is excellent practice. Thanks, everyone, and thank you to all the members of TOOL for inspiring me to do these things.

Most people have no idea how freaked hard it is to sing and play such an intricate song. The fact that you were able to pull it off for the entire song and on an acoustic is nothing short of miraculous. Much respect!!

Never thought that the song can be stripped to just Acoustic and Vocal and still sounding great. (I feel very late for watching this 6 years after it uploaded tho, that being said, it's awesome ).😀

Christian Chadwick Amen man, although I'm not American, I still recognize that society is somewhat sheltered from this genre of music (and others) therefor tend not to appreciate such talent when because they may feel uncomfortable with a style that is new to them. I am a big Tool/APC/Puscifer fan and am annoyed at how many people dont appreciate it, this would never make it onto a TV show like The Voice, souly for this reason alone. This was an amazing Cover; props to the guy! (I have also done some Vocal Covers of tool, feel free to tell me what you think.)

@Ryan Clasby Thanks heaps man. If you learn the whole thing instrumentally first to the point where you don't even think about it, then it's not that hard to sing over it. Your physical arms just do the job while you can sing over the top.

People joke about replaying videos multiple times in succession but I have literally watched this over more times than I can count. This fills me with the determination to fucking conquer and master a song or anything at all like this madman has. It’s probably mostly due to my love for this song and being that guy who plays Tool songs like they are campfire tunes but good lord, this is just fantastic! “Stare like a junkie...”

This song is not fucking easy to play without the vocals. The two don't really flow but you would never know it from your performance. You make it flow dude. Excellent. Best acoustic cover I have heard.

I personally think my version of "The Grudge", because it was recorded live, properly in my little studio, is wayyyy better. 5 microphones around the room and hallway. percussion, vocal, guitar riffs, and bass lines all at once. and I have NO IDEA how I managed to do those SCREAMS! just some weird thing that happened but it work. It's full of mistakes, but doesn't matter really.

@@Parrish_Muhoberac I would like that very much, but I don't have facebook or facebook messenger, deleted over a year ago as it was consuming a lot of my time. Someone on the youtube community told me to listen to Opiate and then go by album as that's the best way to discover tool, before that I've listened to about 26 songs, most from the new album, and random songs I've got recommended on youtube. Which I gotta say I absolutely love every single one, and It's as if the more I listen the more I like it, for now I haven't looked up any more songs, I do the same with Led Zeppelin, I haven't listened to everything even though it's been nearly 10 years since I've discovered them, but I feel that I'm not going to be able to hold on that long before I do listen to every single bit that TOOL has to offer.

@M98R HA MAN, I didn't really think about it, I FELT it more than anything. Yeah, high A notes are difficult, easy to ruin your voice for 2hrs if not warmed up, and knowing it wad coming up, I'd normally feel a sense of DREAD. but I just went with it. It was a test run for my girlfriends camera, but she said I should just post it. I'm so thankful to all of you who appreciate that kind of music. So thank you!
