Hello Mfawa, thank you for your video. I have a moden and whant configurate a custom captive portal. Can you help me and tell me if you can do that? The price too. Thank you.
Hello Mfawa, Thanks for great tutorial. If possible can you share your coovachili build options. I mean like is "--enable-miniportal ". Thanks and god bless you.
Hello Ali, I haven't tried using CoovaChilli with pFsense but I believe pFsense has its own Captive portal engine even though it is not as matured as CoovaChilli. It depends on what your requirements are and if the Captive portal that ships with pFsense can help you.
+Adrian Ramirez Del Rio yes you can use an external DHCP gateway/relay and let it handle DHCP while CoovaChilli (when compiled and enabled) will use IPTables to do it's magic. You can use the following properties in your /etc/chilli/config for example: dhcpgateway 127.0.0.1 dhcpgatewayport 6700 dhcprelayagent 127.0.0.1 Where 127.0.0.1 is a dedicated DHCP gateway/relay agent. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Hello brians fefifo , I agree with you. I only do that when I don't have very good internet connection sometimes. My assumption also is for people with better internet connection to just use yum install package.
Ok I'll see another u'r project using yum. Btw do you have video to install n configure coovachilli, freeradius, n ldap as databases?? If you have, I'll be using that for completing my final projects, because the Thursday will be testing, sir. :(
hay Alfred, marry christmass 4 u. i hope u always bless, healthy, n success... I have been waiting for a reply in your email for 2 this week, but there is no reply though. have you forgotten your promise to me?????? please give me confirm, man... :)
Hi Mfawa Alfred Onen. I need your help. I have setup coovachilli on centOS 6.8 in VirtualBox. I have internet interface eth0 with IP 192.168.1.105 and eth1 for LAN 10.1.1.0 network. Other virtual machine having same LAN (eth1) interface. I could redirect to captive page only when I type eth0 IP range eg 192.168.1.* But can not redirect to captive login page when typed google.com or any other website names. I am not figuring out the problem. Please help me to redirect to login page. Thanks in advance.
Hello Sampat Jadhav, you should ensure that iptables sets the rules for MASQUERADING and ip forwarding is enabled in your OS. Check this pastebin.com/KkhqJEjH and let me know if that did the trick.

You do not have a plan. You are incoherent. You are having problems because you did not review your environment. You clearly have no understanding of DNS or else you would understand why you were having problems with logging in. Here's a suggestion: 1. State what you're going to show 2. State, in detail, the specific configuration you have PRIOR to installing anything 3. Do the installs and explain where you got them 4. Know and understand all of the relevant configurations so that you can highlight them if they are not default 5. Rehearse/Practice at least once in advance. Stop using repetitive filler words -- "alright...so...of course...ummm...kind-of" and all of that. You have clearly been copy-pasting using prior/example configurations which is NOT something the fresh user will see. This leave them lost almost immediately. There is no defined beginning or end for the user experience to replicate. You actually made me not want to even attempt what you did which is the opposite of what people search for.
erroneus Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. As an old tutorial, I think it deserves a pass since there was nothing about this subject matter at the time. I will take all your suggestions and apply it to future content I share. Thanks once again for taking the time to evaluate and provide suggestions on how to make better content next time.
hello on the topic is very interesting I was wondering if you had a manual or settings but the settings scrip cards or network is what is clear to me.
Interesting Tutorial, I have a Question, how can make it with an external DHCP?
hi onen is this applicable to d-link routers.? or any type of wifi ?

may i have a way to contact you if no issue. i do have some questions pls.

sometimes you have to make installation using yum, cz that's is easier than compile or repo from CD.
