How can we reliably manage clients when they are located on a subnet that is not directly connected to the pfSense, meaning that the MAC address received by the Captive Portal will be the one of the other router and not the client's actual MAC address? Thanks for the video, very interesting.

Is it possible for portal redirects even without internet? I mean offline wifi for media streaming. When guest connects to the wifi gets directly redirected to a portal page.

CP in Unifi controller is a better option if you use UBNT APs.

I have a problem with the pfsense captive portal in version 2.6.0. Unfortunately, I have to enter the link for the captive portal instead of it appearing automatically to the user - do you know what the solution is?
Some systems do no redirect properly due to a lack of standardization that is always a challenge with captive portal.
Is there a global bandwidth limit? Like I would like to give 10Mbs Up/Down to be shared to all clients?
No it's done on a per client basis

@@LAWRENCESYSTEMS I try 2 certs and when i go on pc and type dom... it loading page in loop not showing pfsens terms page. my settings:
Enable HTTPS Login: Check
Https server name: 10.0.0.10 (pfsense lan 2)
SSL/TLS: i try wbConf... and then i try new cert.

What are your thoughts on using NextDNS in pfSense - Services → DNS Resolver → General Settings s→ Custom Options box.?? Working good even without using the pfblocker and it uses same block lists ...and with easy url filtering unlike using squid and what not ....

Good Morning. Has anyone ever had problems with URL redirection after authenticating on Android systems? On devices with IOS and Windows (notebook) it works 100%, but on Android, after authentication, it closes the screen and does not open the redirect. I'm using pfsense version 2.6.0. Thanks
