Been using it for 5 weeks and I can see a lot of Vellus hairs forming, especially when I’m out in the sun. My left side of my face-which happens to be my weaker side- is growing vellus hair a lot to the point where I can grab on to them
So happy that 8-16 is the average mark. I started seeing results after 7 weeks :) and I thought I was a SLOW gainer (lol) but I guess I'm average :D That makes me so happy tbh.

@@Unterhoseee Stopped using it after about 2 years i think it was. Got pretty much a full beard, albeit somewhat weak cheek areas that never went terminal. Guess genetics stopped it from going 100%. Considering the fact that I'm generally a pretty hairless guy (even having signs of male alopecia at like 19) I've gained some remarkable growth in my face. Edit: Oh and i haven't used minox in like 3 ish years, NO LOSS of hair. I'd even argue its gotten thicker over the years after i stopped minox.

I'm on day 21 myself using rogaine 5% foam (started Jan 1st) and already seeing some small results. At 30 years old all I could ever grow is some patchy stubble on only my right "sideburn" area and under my chin. Left side of my face couldnt even grow anything. 21 days in and I can already see hairs coming through along my entire face, which NEVER happens so its definitely working. No side effects either (at least none that are noticeable). The left side still has a lot of catching up to do but its definitely better than it was. Really looking forward to actuall having a proper beard. Hopefully I'll have a decent beard by Jan 1st next year.
The Beard Solution Thanks man. Hopefully I'm a fast responder because the sooner I have a beard the better haha, really want one so much and always have. Thanks for all the helpful videos
What people consider results could also play a part in what we call slow gainers. I got some noticeable vellus gains in 3 months, so by that metric I'd be a normal gainer. But in terms of vellus, which I think many of us use as our metric of success, I've gotten like 5 hairs.
i appreciate your dedication on getting the correct information to the men who want to change their appearance, tough being a baby face out here. i started growing since oct 2016 and started minox in dec 2016 had a 3 month supply and right now i have more coverage on my neck along the sides of jaw than anywhere else my chin coverage is a little thin to cuz u can through the strains my mustache is pretty thin but im not worried about that. the coverage i have isnt from minox its what i started with. ive seen little progress, its like the hairs refuses to spread past my jawline and reach my face but tbh i after the first three months i havent been consistent with minox there were days and weeks where i wasnt putting on minox. today im being a little more consistent, putting on minox 2-3 times a week a long with peppermint oil and derma rolling just on my cheeks and chin and i also been very consistent in taking creatine once a day since i workout at the gym anyway. i was wondering how much of factor is consistency with minox and derma rolling before seeing progress?
Started seeing small results at week 7. Currently at the end of week 9 and those results are a lot more noticeable. Can’t wait to see in a few weeks where I’m at.
I have used minoxidil for the last 2 months to try and grow some beard hairs to cover my cleft lip scarring. I am so excited to see I have around 50 to 60 villous hairs starting to grow through where before there was nothing but 3 terminal hairs. My beard is getting thicker and when I use the macro lens on my camera I can see villous hair growing through under the terminal hair. I am using Kirkland 5% liquid with a dropper
Hey Adam, thanks for clarifying when people can expect to see results from using Minoxidil. Have to agree about the overuse of the term #SlowGainer. Hopefully this video will help guys understand that they're probably normal. Cheers
Beard looks awesome. I'm 29 and about to embark on the journey. I've got a lot of vellus as it stands already, especially around the muzzle. Coverage is good around my mouth but my cheeks are where it is very week. I've got lighter brown hair so it is more tough to see in general but I'm hoping Minoxidil will encourage the cheeks to sprout some more hair and hopefully help the ones I already have go terminal!
mate i really like ur videos questioning everything especially the collagen supplementation video, does this mean that you only dermaroll for extra collagen production, or do you also usd things like vitamine c serum etc?
Hey Adam, obviously as we age, we can often grow more facial hair later in life. What are your thoughts about doing another regimen of minoxidil later in life after doing an initial 12 months?
Just onto my second bottle/second month. I'm seeing decent gains on my face but not so much on my neck. Obviously still early days so I'll leave it til the third month at least to make a proper judgement.
First of all, I would like to thank you for the good explanation you have given us, but what we need is that there is an increase in the number of beards, both original and copy, so how can I know the original?
Hi Adam love the content the beard solution could really be the solution to my patchy beard im starting minoxidil in 2 weeks. Got 2 questions my dad has a great beard and mustache (he's Persian, i'm only half) sinds he was around 21-22 ( my current age) but my facial hair is nothing like his at that time , is his facial hair a good refrence of what mine is going to look like? and second does Kirkland 5% has dht blockers in it? Thx so much for the great content and especially the sciene behind it, best beard channel out there bro keep it up!
+Keyan Ashtari 1) not necessarily you get genes from both sides so you may have inherited genes from your mothers sode re: beards 2) kirkland has no blockers bro :)
Im at the start of week 5, taking Creatine and using LCLT mixed with my moisturizer I’m hoping to convert vellus to terminal a bit faster, I’ve been shedding so much since I started that the only new growth I see is white translucent vellus hairs all over my face that’s only visible under the light
Some people do respojd very quickly indeed. But bear in mind that you are probably looking at your face far more than you previously did... meaning you might spot hairs that alreadu existed that you didn't notice. I am not saying thats what it is... but its a possibility
The Beard Solution Very true. But I've been using it for a month now, and I can honestly say, I have near to full coverage of vellus hairs on my cheeks. Thank you man :)
I am using tugain 5% from last four months ... Its helps me to gain some hairs on my cheeks after 2 month's but now it Stop showing me results ...plz reply what to do now..
I'm in my 6th week of kirkland liquid and i can see some little hairs but they are visible only under the flashlight of phone . So How much time it will take to grow some darker and thick hairs ? I use two times a day and also use dermaroller twice a week .
+Nasty Nork i cant recall. Ive done similar videos i dont know if i have broken down the data behind it. Either way if it helps get the message out there. I am sure ive mentioned this in numerous videos tho
My beard was fairly decent before using minoxidil, and have now used for just under 3 weeks and are starting to see the benefits! Just a quick question though, I’m off to Barcelona for a long weekend and for obvious reasons I can’t take my minoxidil with me, is this going to affect my gains and will I start shedding because of this? Many thanks. Beard on
2 to 7% in alcohol alone, more than 7% is with what? Gliterin carrier? I do not understand his English. I am not a native. For 10? Ans 15? Help!!! :D I have been using 5% for 9 weeks and I see no results at all.
Hi, thanks for the video. I started using 5% Minoxidil for my scalp and for my beard. To not exceed the recommended amount of Minoxidil, I apply it to my beard in the morning (1/2 capful foam) and to my scalp in the evening (1/2 capful foam), so it's once a day for each part. My question is should I expect to see first results beyond this 8-16 weeks range since I'm using it once a day, or it should be the same anyways? I'm on week 3 now. Thanks!
stupid question ive been on monix for like 4 months now 5 percent always applying 2 times a day with foam ..i see major improvement around areas i have already had hair on like goatee and neck ..pretty much all filled in now which it wasnt before ..but my cheeks are still bare/ patchy ...starting to see vellus hair come in though ..very light ... does this mean im responsive and will inevitable see cheek progress or is there a chance i might not be responsive in that particular area given the slow progress? my question is can u be responsive in one area and not the other btw im 32
I had probably nothing. After 2 months I saw the first results which was a good stubble on my sideburns and a beginning of the goatee. Im in the 3rd month and there is a few hair on my cheeks too. Its like a miracle and by everyday it gets more and thicker. It has an intresting side effect... my arms and my legs got more hairy too.
Its unlikely to be seeing results so soon. The more likely case is you are looking more closely at your face than you might otherwise. Its not impossible to see really early results however
Hey Adam. Wanted to ask if u shed more noticeably after using l-carnitine and l-tartrate/minox mix. U hadn't mentioned it in your previous vid. I've been using that mixture since right the day u put that how to mix vid up and thought I was seeing a "thinning out" in areas of my beard then actually had full chunks go missing making it look like I was fully bald in those areas. The chunks are growing back, tho. Was a bit scary. Lol. Let me know, bruh, and I "envy" your progress. I'm much older than u so I don't have the "internal components" at same levels as you have, anymore, so seems like my progress is slower than younger guys. I did tell u about how my beard was looking like it finally "arrived" back in late June then I shaved to a goatee a couple weeks later like a dummy. Hasn't quite grown back the same, since. Anyway, beard on, brother!
+Trey IM2 hey man. I shed from my scalp a bit more and my beards shed a little but not much more noticable than minox alone personally. Its good your shedding has started to return new hairs man
i havent used moisturizer this first month and seen crazy results.skin isnt dry at all.should i still moisturize? I take supplements and workout I dont know if thats helping.Im worried about the aging that minox can cause but i definitely want to continue this journey as it is working so well.
Hello, I'm really curious about something and I've been trying to find some information on it for a while now but I'm not finding any results come up where I've been searching. I'm cheap so I get the inexpensive liquid minox solution but I'm getting sick of the dry skin already (only at the end of the first month so far haha). Would it be possible to mix moisturiser directly into the liquid as long is it doesn't have dht blockers and use that or do you think this would potentially slow gains? I know you can wash it off after 4 hours and moisturise however it's not ideal to have dry flaky skin as your walking around work as I'm sure you know lol p.s. thank you, its because of you and your channel I started this journey and I'm seeing some improvement already and looking forward to whats yet to come - Good lad!
+The Saucy Sirs no I dont think so. Minoxidil solutions are a mix of alcohol and water. Most moisturisers will contain oils and mixing them could jepordise the solution. Even applying minoxidil directly before minox could cause the reduction in absorbtion and risk results My best advice would be to either buy foam (which is probably jot what you want to do considering cost)
Ah that sucks, anyways thank you for the response. I might try foam in the morning and liquid in the evenings then and hopefully it won't be too bad on my wallet lol. -Your a legend man, keep up the good work!
Been on it for close to 6weeks... See tiny blonde hairs... Very few new hairs... I'll give it another 3or 4mo that before I judge if it works or not... So far it does seem to work
Hey Adam, I've just recently started using minoxidil (Kirkland 5%) and I've just got through my 1st week. I can't really tell if there's been some growth but I'll keep using it. I have one concern though. They said that using minoxidil could dry up your skin and cause some flaking. I was GLADLY EXPECTING the drying and flaking part because I know it's part of the process and my mind tells me that if it happens, then it's working. I apply once a day. When the minoxidil dries, I could actually see some white flaky stuff on my chin but it's definitely not my skin peeling off and I suspect it's just some dried minoxidil that clumped together when it was still wet on my face. It's already been a week and my skin is just mildly dry, doesn't wrinkle, crack or even flake at all, even after I've washed the minoxidil off, and I don't even use moisturizers yet. It's in good condition as it was before I started using minoxidil. I kinda get the feeling that I'm doing something wrong. I have suspicions that maybe it's my facial wash? Because I wash my face and let it dry before putting minoxidil. Any thoughts on my case? Hope you could reply.
Hey man. Firstly dont expect to see results until 2-4 months in. It takes time. Don't worry about the lack of dry skin either. Dry skin is a side effect and not evidence the product is working...all its evidence of is that its drying out your skin. Not everyone gets every side effect some dont get any at all... others get severe sides so if anything count yourself lucky. Hope that answers your question and best of luck
@@thebeardsolution Thank you very much Adam! Really appreciate your response. Yah I'm pretty sure I got my answer. Noted...i'll keep at it and see the result after 2 months.
@@manaskothiya1707 honestly its doing pretty good. The stuff actually works! Both my cheeks are covered with hair. On top of that, I've stopped using minoxidil for at least 3 years now but my beard is still there. So yeah definitely worth it.
Hey Adam, quick question. I have a patchy beard and am doing my homework on the Minox thing. I presently use a shampoo with a DHT blocker "Regenepure" I do not suffer from MPB, but I like it as it makes my hair really thick......I'm 45. Will using the shampoo conflict with the Minox on my beard? Or is it a totally separate thing? I'm reading conflicting things on line. As one says it's topical, does not matter. While another states it is ingested in the bloodstream and does matter etc. Any advice? I don't want to use both if they conflict with each other.
I’ve been using the Walmart brand for 4 months now my side burns has gotten longer but chin hair really isn’t going anywhere does the brand make a difference?
Hey Adam! 3 weeks into minoxidil, haven't notice much changes, I already started with somewhat of a good beard but I feel I have a low natural cheek like, can minoxidil raise it? Another question, I have a bunch of peach fuzz on my face not really visable but you can feel it, is that a good sign?
I'm definitely a slow gainier but I'm still seeing results nonetheless my connectors are starting to come in ,barely noticeable only in certain lighting .I'm hoping by 6-7 months I'll have even better results

hey mate, just a question about the derma roller. Bought a titanium one 5 months ago & only been able to use it 5 times (due to breakouts) Was just wondering how long until I should buy a new one ? (I’ve heard you’re meant to sterile it with rubbing alcohol every week, even if you’re not using in those weeks so it doesn’t rust) Was wondering if that’s true and if I should change it for that reason ? Thanks.
+Alex Flood hey man. Ive not heard that personally but i would just chack the roller first. If its rust free and the pins arent bent you may be good to continue using it
I just finished my first week of Minoxidil, my skin is just now starting to get a little irritated, I was wondering if I could put moisturizer on a few minutes before I put the Minoxidil on
I have applied minoxidil for 4 weeks now with little to no results... I apply it to my crown, temples, and face (where I would like to have a beard). In pictures, I see that I have a little bit of success at the crown region but for the temples and beard, I have no success. I still have a "baby face" and I'm 25 years old. Could it be that some places react later than other places in the face? I have a supply of 6 months so I will continue with it.
Do you have any information on what to expect with starting out fresh a second time? Do the waits tend to be the same? I was beginning to see results previously but had to stop due to either an allergy or it agitating dry skin due to not moisturising enough and getting rashes.
+Dominic StarX its probably likely going to take a similar time frame it took you the first time dependent on how long ago you stopped (if it was super recent and you still habe your gains it might be sooner)
The Beard Solution I guessed that would most likely be the case as it's been around 6 months. Gonna try again with a much stricter moisturising regime and use some week hydrocortisone on short breaks to nip any eczema in the bud early. Great video by the way it's nice to have all that info in one place.
Your saying 15 percent with dht helped people see more results ? How I thought dht blocker was a bad idea for the beard cuz dht helps you grow a beard dht is only bad for the scalp not the beard
When you say "results" in 8-16 weeks, does that include vellus hairs? I've been on it for 10 days, and I still don't see even one vellus hair. Been applying twice a day with foam, usually spread each application out by 10-14 hours. No side effects either.
Now im 1 year and 2 months on minox and the results are not great yet , i did 6 on liquid and 6 on foam and now im on liquid again and i have to say the liquid works much better than the foam!
+george balan most people see their biggest increase of gains in the first 6 months from my observation. And most people seems to start with liquid also. Which explains (to me anyway) why many think the same as you re:liquid vs foam You could consider a higher concentration (10%) if you haven't seen very much
+george balan i can have a look. I usually just search for tugain 10 or mintop 10 on ebay and get it delivered from india. Where abouts are you based you might just want to check your countries Ebay
I think people who have a lot of body hairs on arms legs chest or even back are good genetic indicators that they would have more facial hair . What is your opinion on this matter?
Generally speaking yes. Not so much arms or legs but chest and back for sure since the sensitivity to androgens must be sufficient enough to trigger hair growth in these areas Obviously it's not a garuntee but is a good Indicator
So yeah, got a question, I used 2 bottles of regain (foam ) since summer I mean, I used 1 then stopped like 1 month till the other one arrived, then used it for more 2 months and now I'm off again, I do see results even if I didn't used it all day , I have stopped because I got a lymphatic gland swollen on my neck and I don't know if minoxidil caused it to swollen... I do see small hairs but I'm scared to use it more because of the gland... Should I keep using it , or will my gains go away? ( probably not )
+Darth Vaper they will LIKELY fall at this stage. To my knowledge minoxidil shouldnt cause lymphatic glands to swell. I saw some scaremongering post about this but according to the evidence they cited you were more likely to get that from a placebo than minoxidil (people were more likely to get it from applying distilled water to their face!) If you are scared to use it you are likely going to associate everything you do or goes wrong with using minoxidil even of it isnt. Really its your decision and you need to be comfortable with potential side effects and weigh that up against your want for a beard But yeah minox wouldnt have caused the issue you said
Last 20 days I'm using my minoxidil two times a day I'm not visible any small hair men how many days it will take to see the visible result please tell me
@@thebeardsolution idk man I’ve seen good results in a short time while taking both so idk tbh the minoxidil has been working more on my face then finastride is on my head
It's not that you won't see results. It's that your results won't be optimal. Results on the scalp are likely going to be harder to achieve due to the disadvantage you're already at fighting the DHT accumulation. There's not that same issue for the beard area. But for the reasons I already mentioned, DHT is important to facial hair growth. Seeing results while using finastride doesn't mean that it is helping improve your beard gains. You'd only know that if you stopped the finastride and compared which you probably won't want to do if you're also using it on your scalp to fight male pattern baldness.
@@nadim1172 I have completed 6 and half month on minox and i will say that this stuff is crazy my beard got really thick and I started to see the shape of beard.for the first time in life I said to the barber that I want to shape up my beard. but currently I am I a shedding phase and this shedding is really brutal but staying strong and my routine is fixed.
Can you recommend something for the flaky skin this stuff causes? Moisturizer only temporarily fixes it. I need to somehow get all that flaky skin off my face
The main question i have is when can i expect to see full coverage? Not when im done the journey but when it more or less looks like i have a full beard? I'm about 4.5 months in huge gains so far, i plan on using for 1.5- two years just to be safe even if it looks complete
@@NickOcheredko my neck gains have been lacking which is weird cause for other people it seems to be thats the easiest to grow, but honestly i dont really care bout that. Beard is like 90% coverage now the only having a hard time connecting but i can see vellus hairs growing there so i think its a matter of time before it eventually comes. Honestly even if it never fully fills in im very happy with the results it was def worth it. Id say dont ignore dermarolling either i didnt do it at first cause i really didnt think if would make a difference but I definitely noticed faster results after doing it consistently once a week instead of just whenever i felt like
@@Eyoballin Thanks for the answer! I've completed week 3, applying the foam once a day. Haven't noticed anything much yet. I already bought a dermaroller, going to start using it soon. Hopefully it will improve my results :)
I’m getting conflicting views on how to apply it? Some people are saying once a day, leave on for 4 hours (at least) whereas others are saying twice a day? Which one is it? Also if I apply twice a day how long will a can of foam last? I have to think of cost.
Well. 1) you can apply either 1x or 2x per day. 2x a day will arguabley provide better results. The directions of minoxidil (albeit for the scalp) is 2x per day. 2) yes 4 hours minimum for optimum absorption. 3) each bottle is labelled as a month supply with applications being 2x a day. Thus the answer to your question is written on the bottle. 1 month. However you may notice it lasts you slightly shorter or slightly longer as its somewhat more difficult to accurately dispense 1ml of foam vs 1ml liquid. Hope this helps
The Beard Solution. Thank you, that has helped. I couldn’t find where it said twice a day so I wasn’t sure if doing it twice may cause the can to run out within 2 weeks. Obviously not. I shall start using it twice a day then. Cheers mate. 👍🏻

What people consider results could also play a part in what we call slow gainers. I got some noticeable vellus gains in 3 months, so by that metric I'd be a normal gainer. But in terms of vellus, which I think many of us use as our metric of success, I've gotten like 5 hairs.

Dude I’ve been on minoxidil for 2 weeks and don’t think I’ve seen any extra hairs grow. Does it take a few weeks before anything happens?

@@_JM-any updates brother?
Cheers
+JGR thanks john for the support as always!
How'd you go with the minoxidil?
mate i really like ur videos questioning everything especially the collagen supplementation video, does this mean that you only dermaroll for extra collagen production, or do you also usd things like vitamine c serum etc?
Hey Adam, obviously as we age, we can often grow more facial hair later in life. What are your thoughts about doing another regimen of minoxidil later in life after doing an initial 12 months?
Been using kirkland minoxidil for 2weeks now and damn alot of vellus hair already appear. Plus im asian..
Srsly
I've been using it for 2 days
You could motivate me smh
Just onto my second bottle/second month. I'm seeing decent gains on my face but not so much on my neck. Obviously still early days so I'll leave it til the third month at least to make a proper judgement.
First of all, I would like to thank you for the good explanation you have given us, but what we need is that there is an increase in the number of beards, both original and copy, so how can I know the original?
Thanks for a well informed video 👍
Off topic, Can taking a collagen supplement replace dermarolling?
Hi Adam love the content the beard solution could really be the solution to my patchy beard im starting minoxidil in 2 weeks. Got 2 questions my dad has a great beard and mustache (he's Persian, i'm only half) sinds he was around 21-22 ( my current age) but my facial hair is nothing like his at that time , is his facial hair a good refrence of what mine is going to look like? and second does Kirkland 5% has dht blockers in it?
Thx so much for the great content and especially the sciene behind it, best beard channel out there bro keep it up!
+Keyan Ashtari 1) not necessarily you get genes from both sides so you may have inherited genes from your mothers sode re: beards
2) kirkland has no blockers bro :)
Im at the start of week 5, taking Creatine and using LCLT mixed with my moisturizer I’m hoping to convert vellus to terminal a bit faster, I’ve been shedding so much since I started that the only new growth I see is white translucent vellus hairs all over my face that’s only visible under the light
Day 8 and I'm seeing results wtf!
Kreation Films Can you give an update?
Kreation Films and now what brother??
I’m on day 6 and nothing yet, still too early though.
I am using tugain 5% from last four months ... Its helps me to gain some hairs on my cheeks after 2 month's but now it Stop showing me results ...plz reply what to do now..
Shave it down the product is maybe no reaching ur skin anymore
I've used it now for about 9 months and it's not making a difference.
I started seeing results about 5 or 6 months in, so I'm probably going to be on it 2 years lol
rusty shackleford Update plz?!
I'm in my 6th week of kirkland liquid and i can see some little hairs but they are visible only under the flashlight of phone . So How much time it will take to grow some darker and thick hairs ? I use two times a day and also use dermaroller twice a week .
Any update?
I swear you already did an entire video on this subject.
+Nasty Nork i cant recall. Ive done similar videos i dont know if i have broken down the data behind it. Either way if it helps get the message out there. I am sure ive mentioned this in numerous videos tho
You're confused.
Hey man, what happened with the DHT gel experiment? Did it help at all? Do you think proviron can help to get better results? Thanks bro

Beard on
+Bradley Hill nah man it shouldnt. I put mine in the hold luggage whem I went spain but not in the hamd luggage so I dunno
Thanks!
Hey Adam, what's the depth of hair follicles on the face? Would it be possible to pierce and damagw them while dermarolling?
+Marc VB nah you should be fine. Im not sire of the exact depth tbh but i couldnt envision any damage to the follicle using a 0.5mm roller
I’m on day 11 on my first bottle and I’m almost out
You are definitely using too much per application
You are using too much
stupid question ive been on monix for like 4 months now 5 percent always applying 2 times a day with foam ..i see major improvement around areas i have already had hair on like goatee and neck ..pretty much all filled in now which it wasnt before ..but my cheeks are still bare/ patchy ...starting to see vellus hair come in though ..very light ... does this mean im responsive and will inevitable see cheek progress or is there a chance i might not be responsive in that particular area given the slow progress? my question is can u be responsive in one area and not the other btw im 32
Bro can I use balck seed oil in minoxidil beard journey?
I had probably nothing. After 2 months I saw the first results which was a good stubble on my sideburns and a beginning of the goatee. Im in the 3rd month and there is a few hair on my cheeks too. Its like a miracle and by everyday it gets more and thicker. It has an intresting side effect... my arms and my legs got more hairy too.
How is it now?
I'm on day 5 and already notice new vellus hairs. Patience is a virtue lads !
Its unlikely to be seeing results so soon. The more likely case is you are looking more closely at your face than you might otherwise.
Its not impossible to see really early results however
Moisturizing your beard 4 hs after applying monoxidil with peppermint oil is so damn good . Personally it gives me a stronger stach and cheeks 😍
Is Minoxidil 10% helps to grow beard faster then 5%
Its good your shedding has started to return new hairs man
The Beard Solution Ok. Thx for the reply.
Is it okay for me to moisturize the nose and forehead while I am on minoxidil?
Yea kanneki ken of course
i havent used moisturizer this first month and seen crazy results.skin isnt dry at all.should i still moisturize? I take supplements and workout I dont know if thats helping.Im worried about the aging that minox can cause but i definitely want to continue this journey as it is working so well.
Started last friday... Lets hope it works
Did it work?
Hello, I'm really curious about something and I've been trying to find some information on it for a while now but I'm not finding any results come up where I've been searching.
I'm cheap so I get the inexpensive liquid minox solution but I'm getting sick of the dry skin already (only at the end of the first month so far haha). Would it be possible to mix moisturiser directly into the liquid as long is it doesn't have dht blockers and use that or do you think this would potentially slow gains? I know you can wash it off after 4 hours and moisturise however it's not ideal to have dry flaky skin as your walking around work as I'm sure you know lol
p.s. thank you, its because of you and your channel I started this journey and I'm seeing some improvement already and looking forward to whats yet to come - Good lad!
+The Saucy Sirs no I dont think so. Minoxidil solutions are a mix of alcohol and water. Most moisturisers will contain oils and mixing them could jepordise the solution. Even applying minoxidil directly before minox could cause the reduction in absorbtion and risk results
My best advice would be to either buy foam (which is probably jot what you want to do considering cost)
Ah that sucks, anyways thank you for the response. I might try foam in the morning and liquid in the evenings then and hopefully it won't be too bad on my wallet lol.
-Your a legend man, keep up the good work!
+The Saucy Sirs thanks man. And good luck.
Been on it for close to 6weeks... See tiny blonde hairs... Very few new hairs... I'll give it another 3or 4mo that before I judge if it works or not... So far it does seem to work
Update?
...about 12 months in. Gone from half a beard to 3/4.
Definitely unfinished and patchy, can't seem to jump that hurdle.
have you tried dermarolling?
I wish my beard grew as fast as my damn mustache. I swear I can shave and it's back almost fully in 10 days or less lol.
I think all the brands are using same minoxidil...so dont get bother about the brand guys.....go and buy one enjoy
I agree
I have gained ALOT of vellus hairs and im only 6 weeks in. Is that a fast gain? Or is he talking about terminal hairs
Hi Adam , i have a question please . is it normal to have shedding in the hair after 7 months of stopping minoxidil ? , or it s another problem ?
The dry skin isn't the minoxidil, it's actually due to liquid the minoxidil is in. That liquid dries out your skin not the actual minoxidil.
@@nekif820 hey it's been 4 years how's your beard now?
+Rural Scarecrow if its a shampoo you are probably fine and the effect is likely minimal if any

Hey Adam! 3 weeks into minoxidil, haven't notice much changes, I already started with somewhat of a good beard but I feel I have a low natural cheek like, can minoxidil raise it? Another question, I have a bunch of peach fuzz on my face not really visable but you can feel it, is that a good sign?
+Diego Trejos hey man. I would say yes on both counts

hey mate, just a question about the derma roller.
Bought a titanium one 5 months ago & only been able to use it 5 times (due to breakouts)
Was just wondering how long until I should buy a new one ?
(I’ve heard you’re meant to sterile it with rubbing alcohol every week, even if you’re not using in those weeks so it doesn’t rust) Was wondering if that’s true and if I should change it for that reason ?
Thanks.

The Beard Solution you’ve usually got to change after about 15 uses don’t you ?
I just finished my first week of Minoxidil, my skin is just now starting to get a little irritated, I was wondering if I could put moisturizer on a few minutes before I put the Minoxidil on
Two months in and I’m slowly seeing results I just found out I need a derma roller
Hey man. I cant fill in the gap of my moustache in the middle.

Hey my friend. Have you noticed any difference ever since you started working out on your beard gains?

+Minoxidil Journey thanks man!
Your saying 15 percent with dht helped people see more results ? How I thought dht blocker was a bad idea for the beard cuz dht helps you grow a beard dht is only bad for the scalp not the beard
I never said the study of 15% was on the beard. It was on the scalp hence why i said the dht blockers would help
15% is way too high! Stick to 5% and be patient. You should see results from 4 to 6 months.
I dont use 15%....
I see. Are you able to share with your subscribers how you started and how long it took you before you got results?
My journey is fully documented on my channel.

When you say "results" in 8-16 weeks, does that include vellus hairs?
I've been on it for 10 days, and I still don't see even one vellus hair. Been applying twice a day with foam, usually spread each application out by 10-14 hours. No side effects either.
That means vellus hairs yes. It's unlikely you will get terminals within that timeframe (though some do get the odd one)

Hi Adam, any results yet from using L carnitine L tartrate?
i’ve been taking it for about 3 days and transitional hairs are already coming in on my cheeks and neck
Which explains (to me anyway) why many think the same as you re:liquid vs foam
You could consider a higher concentration (10%) if you haven't seen very much
Yea i thought of buying 10 % minox but only i could find is on ebay and is from india! Do you think is any good?
Can you give me a link?
+george balan i can have a look. I usually just search for tugain 10 or mintop 10 on ebay and get it delivered from india. Where abouts are you based you might just want to check your countries Ebay
The Beard Solution is tugain 5 good enough?
I think people who have a lot of body hairs on arms legs chest or even back are good genetic indicators that they would have more facial hair . What is your opinion on this matter?
Generally speaking yes. Not so much arms or legs but chest and back for sure since the sensitivity to androgens must be sufficient enough to trigger hair growth in these areas
Obviously it's not a garuntee but is a good Indicator
What is the ultimate natural alternative to minoxidil?
There isn't one
I saw some scaremongering post about this but according to the evidence they cited you were more likely to get that from a placebo than minoxidil (people were more likely to get it from applying distilled water to their face!)
If you are scared to use it you are likely going to associate everything you do or goes wrong with using minoxidil even of it isnt.
Really its your decision and you need to be comfortable with potential side effects and weigh that up against your want for a beard
But yeah minox wouldnt have caused the issue you said
Good to know, I'll start applying it again see what will going to happen. Ty
im one week in and have see no vellus hairs im not sure if they were their before
I am on 43 week.. But my patch is not feeling.. Should I go for 10%
Are you having any symptoms
Hello, I’m in week 2 seeing tiny vellus hair, when will it turn terminal ??
Made much progress in tje 7 months?
I am using it for 4 months but until now I am gust shedding
Last 20 days I'm using my minoxidil two times a day I'm not visible any small hair men how many days it will take to see the visible result please tell me
Take finastride dht blocker will make the beard grow very well on minoxidil
No, it won't. It's a DHT blocker. DHT, whilst bad for the scalp, is generally considered beneficial for the beard.
I completed my first month have seen alot of vellus hairs but my question is when will these baby white hairs will turn darker and thicker
Update?
@@nadim1172 I have completed 6 and half month on minox and i will say that this stuff is crazy my beard got really thick and I started to see the shape of beard.for the first time in life I said to the barber that I want to shape up my beard. but currently I am I a shedding phase and this shedding is really brutal but staying strong and my routine is fixed.
Can you recommend something for the flaky skin this stuff causes? Moisturizer only temporarily fixes it. I need to somehow get all that flaky skin off my face
I use both liquid and foam. Every few days when the flakes start to show up I just switch to foam while my skin clears up.
The main question i have is when can i expect to see full coverage? Not when im done the journey but when it more or less looks like i have a full beard? I'm about 4.5 months in huge gains so far, i plan on using for 1.5- two years just to be safe even if it looks complete
@Meek How are things, bro? It's been 2 years since you wrote this comment.

I’ve heard people say once a day is enough for most people because of the half life. True? Anyone?
Once a day is fine.
@@thebeardsolution awesome man. Just started 3 days ago. Stoked that once a day will do the trick. Thank you
How long for permanent gains
