Very informative video thanks! Nick Bare also released a video recently on his pre run stretching and mobility which includes mostly static stretches. Any thoughts on that?
If warming up raises your body temperature and having a higher body temperature makes it less economical for running, will doing warm-up make you run slower for a time trial? I heard that some runners like Soh Rui Yong will try and soak in cold water before the start of a run to lower his body temperature.
yeah that's why singaporeans go colder countries to run their personal bests. u gotta warm up enough to loosen ur muscles but u shouldnt over heat. if its too hot maybe drink a cold drink :)
@@aaroiseverything hmm. Ya i always run on an empty stomach. Dunno if thats actually recommended. Once, i just drank 1 sip of water, waited like 5-10 mins then went on to run. Immediately stitches. :'(
Hello Aaron, is it okay if i do the light jog at the very last of my warmup? For example, I do dynamic stretches, drill etc first and the last warm up is the light jog?
Hey man, I bought your 8 weeks IPPT 2.4km program. It seems a bit against the 80/20 rule. I'm done with week 1 and it felt fine, but is this a good idea to not get injured? With 2/3 runs being hard 😁
well the race we are training for is only 2.4km so no need so much slow runs. plus its not a full season of running (only 2 months) so most workouts should be high intensity already. yea as runners were always worried about injuries. thats why only 2 hard workouts a week, not 3! 😀
@@aaroiseverything aa yeah, that makes sense 😁 would u suggest to switch one of the "hard" runs out with an easy run when it's "off season" and maybe +3/+4 months to the test?
@@banjolanjo i might do 1 hard run a week during base season. or 2x a week but do reps & LT workouts. but since this plan is 2months to ippt, its reps & vo2 runs. btw off season to me means everyday easy, 0 hard workouts
Your warm-up is my entire workout
🤣 lmao
this is such a good warm up. Really preps your body for the training
thanks for all your videos. they are very informative and I can put them directly into practice in my weekly routines.
Haha cool thats what i was aiming for. Cos i watched other videos and still dk what to do

Thank you!

Thanks for the tips! Question:
How do you deal with stitches?

Yup i think its fine. But the jog suppose to warm the muscles a little bit before all those stretches n drills
Hi Aaron, do you have recommendations where to store your stuff in Singapore when u run?

Oh yea and if someone is running 4-6x a week, then its easier to do 80/20! Cos most are easy runs

Ye ok it all makes sense. Thx for all the insight 👌👌
do this before 2.4km?
yup!
@@aaroiseverything won’t the dynamic stuff like high knees and strides make u tired?
@@MrFyce nope it shouldn't! it's very short after all
