@Teaspill Tbh I wanted to support Manny for the longest time, ever since he first started (BFFS with Patrick Starr). Something about the way that he acted just put me off, I couldn't really place a finger on it, it just felt like it was an act almost. Personally, I see nothing wrong with social climbing/networking, as long as you're doing it morally and not essentially using the people that helped you to get to where you are in the first place. It honestly just shows that he has a sense of entitlement and it's honestly a bit scummy. I wanted to give him the chance to redeem himself after the JS incident, but after this shit storm he's basically just cancelled himself.

I think it was deliberate. You see, the video Manny striked was one of the most popular if not the most popular video covering his Morphe foundation review and its authenticity. The timing of the strike is coincidentally very close to the release of the Morphe foundation, which Manny is affiliated with. So he probably striked the video so people interested in the foundation aren't discouraged by people covering his "fake" review.
I agree 100% and he pretty much said everything wrong with the foundation, but recommended it 🤦♀️

Yes, tea spill is the biggest drama channel with the most subs and views. He wanted her to dox herself most likely because he'd have to identity of the biggest drama channel. Tea spill doesn't ever show who they are and that could be a way to hold some thing over them. If that makes sense.

Here's the thing: youtube should strike him since he admitted he falsely signed a legally binding contract. I'm not gonna act like that's not what this is. The rules are the same across the board, not just for the little creators. He did not sign a different contract. If teaspill is ok with what happened and how it was resolved- good. I'm glad that she's cool, she should not have to deal with more stress. BUT UA-cam IS LEGALLY BOUND TO THEIR CONTRACTS TOO. They have a responsibility to the platform and I'm so. tired. Of everyone messing up BADLY and youtube essentially just consigning the behavior. Either monitor or don't but stop this selective B.S.

She apologized some time later on Instagram and maybe twitter but didn’t on UA-cam
He also needs to apologize to that fan he made a face at, Jeffree Star, Patrick Starrr, Gabriel Zamora and a TON of other people for social climbing.
And in two months this man child is going to do another messed up thing, then apologize when theirs public backlash and like all the tweets saying how strong he is. You know what shows strength? Learning. Changing. Stop being a lan child and grow tf up. Lord have mercy I am TIRED. But I will never be too tired to watch laura lee snot rocket through a fake apology. That's gold right there. If you follow the makeup drama, he does something to cause a scandal just before he releases his next product. It's all for publicity, plain and simple because check his social blade as he is still losing subscribers.
People need to start being punished for falsely using a copyright strike. The repercussions are way too serious, and UA-cam doesn't even get involved. MINOR kudos to Manny for owning up and removing it, since he's the only person who could, but UA-cam seriously needs to regulate this system if it's going to result in loss of income or, eventually, complete loss of your channel.
If you falsely copyright strike a channel, you should have to compensate them for the potential views lost, and if you abuse the system multiple times you should have the same repercussions as someone receiving a strike. As they say, three strikes and you're out, should be three false strikes and you're out. I think people would think long and hard before using that option.

However, being the type of person he is I do believe from his point of view that as long as people are talking about him he’s happy because his justification for his actions are more than questionable and rather illogical

This is the same thing that happened with Shookbang and Veronica Wang and SAS ASMR- they took down Shookbang’s channel through copyright strikes, gave them back their channel after bribing them, and are still not letting it go almost a month later. UA-cam should really just make it that if you put a strike on a channel unlawfully, you then get a strike yourself.
man... almost all of my cover videos get copyright claims ©. I’ve learned not to use specific instrumental channels as some of them claim some channels and sometimes when the cover is too close to the actual song then i get claimed by UMG... I don’t make money off my videos but it still gets on my nerves.
UPDATE: UMG and Instrumental channels have now claimed MOST of my videos. UA-cam NEEDS to fix this

I think there should be an option to flag a video as defamation, because that's what these youtubers are concerned about it the end. Then the video could be reviewed to see if it is or not. Using copyright claims is really really dirty, and I think there should be consequences for fake claims.

The reasons why article 13 is passing is bc it will make yt responsible for anything that is copy striked. When they are appealed by creators, yt will make the decision and if it goes to court then yt will be blamed for making the wrong decision

Manny has always struck me as disingenuous in every single controversy he’s ever been involved in ever. I don’t get why people still watch him but I guess that’s what happens when you let kids have internet. I agree he damaged YT but honestly the blame should lay on Veronica Wang and Sas-ASMR. What they did to shookbang (small or large is not the point) set the precedent that Manny clearly saw and took a page from when he didn't like the joke on TS's video. Combined they've just empowered UMG and all other troll claimers to do it twice as much now.
Definitely keep using the Laura Lee clip! It's TOO good! As for Manny, you hit the nail on the head. I also think that Manny will never do better because the apology videos get him so many views. He gets to stir up drama due to reacting in the heat of the moment but it's okay, he can apologize for it later and rake in the views. 🤷🏻♀️
