My 2 biggest regrets in fundraising as a missionary

- We didn't do things with the right emphasis throughout our fundraising journey. Now years later I can see how that has affected us. Don't make these same mistakes we made.
Many Christians today don't realize that their thinking is affected by humanism. We are taught from a young age to embrace reason when we are given truth not through reason but through revelation. If we want to live fully and faithfully for God, we must be willing to receive his discipline even when it doesn't make sense to us.
My goal on this channel is to remove obstacles from your YES to Jesus.
Following Jesus is more complicated that you might think. From when I first became a Christian, I struggled to understand what it meant to be a faithful follower of Jesus. Many Christians today seem too similar to the world. After twenty years of honest wrestling I have found the solution to my problem. It has to do with the struggle between two worldviews: humanism and revelation. Christians are often a confused mixture of the two and this leads to a complete breakdown in the maturity.

@@PhilipDosa When I planned to go to Tanzania, these were my same hangups: not enough concern for the supporters and thinking it was about us.
As we continue to fundraise it has been interesting... our missions organization in the last few years has encouraged us to try to pour into the lives of our partners and truly connect with them.
We have started to add encouraging words into our newsletters and send personal letters.
We also always stay with families... and it is interesting how God always opens opportunities when we stay to talk and pray with the families.
It's interesting how unnatural this feels when you ask and then how amazing it is when you actually stay with them. Blessing on your journey and your team!
