My grandparents, my parents, ate tomatoes salad everyday in summer, with red onion cucumber, and plenty of oregano, they lived over 100 years,so what you are saying is a load of bullshit !
depends on, where you live. You are Italian, and I remember, how excellent the food in Italy is. Since I live in Australia, tomatoes are rubbish, most of the time. They are hard, not juicy, and tastles.
I'm 80 year's old I eat all what you are referring to with no problems. Most heart burn can be solved with apple cider vinegar in a glass of water, but don't drink if you suffer from stomach ulcer.
I agree with M. Suddenly in the past 5 years there seems to be a bevy of arm chair health quarterbacks who seem to know everything about everything. As a child I spent years visiting my uncles farm and enjoyed all kind of vegetables and fruit the farm had to offer. I am currently 80 years old and the ways of farm life have served me well.
This is not total nonsense. Many people have adverse reactions to certain foods, especially at older ages. Also, many people eat the wrong combination of foods and throw anything in the mix of salads and soups, and sandwiches, etc. ( just like certain chemical mixing, certain food mixing can be bad) (In nature, all animals do not mix foods, but eat them sperately at different times...humans are dumber than animals when it comes to nature). Many people eat too much of a certain food. To blindly eat anything, without consideration is negligent to our digestive system. However, some people have "iron" stomachs and have no problems. I cannot eat raw onions for example, or tomatoes. I get upset stomach, gas, bloating you wouldn't believe. Everybody's tolerance levels are different. Cheers!
@thisislogout Who talked about chemicals. Horses are not smart enough to avoid plants they get ill from eating. if they grow where they live. Horses are most probably not the only animal.
@KoldingDenmark I'm referring to animals who are not domesticated and live in true nature like elephants, rhinoceros, lions, tigers, monkeys, wild birds, wild horses, etc. Once animals are domesticated they are subject to our way of life which is not the healthiest (just look at all the chemicals in packaged food like cereal, bread, tv dinners, candy, ice cream, etc, etc, etc). Anyway, I'm not expecting anyone to listen or follow my choices in health, I'm just putting comments out there to see how many people agree with my ideas about health. Not trying to argue or convert anyone. We all have our own choices in life and I've learned that you can't change anyone. 🌅🚴🚣
What stands out most in this video is the attention to detail regarding food-drug interactions, particularly with vegetables like garlic and chard. Highlighting the impact of Vitamin K and blood thinners is a critical yet often overlooked aspect of nutrition advice. This is essential information for seniors managing medications.
Such an informative topic! It’s a reminder that not all 'healthy' foods are universally safe for everyone. I hope the video explains how seniors can balance their diet while avoiding potential risks.
I don't understand why there are not so many videos on food additives that can be found in so many foods that we consume. I think they are what is damaging our bodies and maybe making us oversensitive to some of these foods. Why do they have to put maltidextrine , which raises blood sugar higher than sugar, mixed with sugar and highfructose in our food. Polysorbate 80 which mutates our probiotics. The list goes on. They really need to speak out on these additives first.
1. BS. I am 74 and I eat plenty of red & yellow bell peppers, no reflux occurred, no joint pain either. 2. Been eating beats for years, no problems with sugar from them. 3. I often have crushed garlic on toast, no problems, no reflux either. 4. Tomatoes are very beneficial for the prostate they contain lycopene, eat these very often with sardines, garlic. 5. My favorite is radish also no problem. 6. I have raw red onions with sardine sandwiches. Moderation is key!!!

Very good vegetable for heart health very contradictory information.

There’s other videos that I’ve watched, and I’ve said exactly the opposite of the things that you quoted hurt people of age. 5:05
I have heard the opposite also. You don't know which one to believe. I cook with a lot of onions, bell pepper and tomatoes.
Such an informative topic! It’s a reminder that not all 'healthy' foods are universally safe for everyone. I hope the video explains how seniors can balance their diet while avoiding potential risks.
We are all different. Bell peppers are great for me, but I can’t even look at a tomato or I’ll have gout.
Who to believe now? Totally opposite to other experts!
Thanks .
