It is just like what Mike Shinoda says in the song “What the words meant” Mike sings about the music and lyrics of Chester.
The first time I heard it
      Didn't know what it was
I listened to it over and over
      I couldn't get enough
      I knew every syllable
      And the space in between
      And I wondered
What my own song would be
I thought I understood what the words meant
I thought I knew the meaning behind
I memorized the sounds and the rhythms
And wondered about the stories inside
I thought I understood what the words meant
I thought that they were written for me
A message spelled out in a language
That only those who have been there
      Been there can read
The first time I heard it
      Didn't know what it was
It was foreign and angry and brilliant
      I couldn't get enough
      But the story behind it
      You revealed it to me
      And I realized
You had lived through what I had never seen
I never understood what the words meant
I never knew the meaning behind
I memorized the sounds and the rhythms
But didn't know the stories inside
I never understood what the words meant
The words were never written for me
A message spelled out in a language

I wish I didn't know what the words meant

I memorized the sounds and the rhythms

I "lose my shit" almost on a daily basis, but in controlled ways. I allow myself to be angry over certain things and frequently vent, but not at people and not in a damaging way. Keeping my "shit" bottled up caused me to almost die from blood loss almost 20 years ago. I decided then that it was probably wise to find a way to cope with things that didn't involve a blade of some kind.

He says put me out of my f****** misery and knowing about what his childhood was like and him taking his own life brings his lyrics in so many of his songs to a whole other level. In live concerts, he would insert a pause, and usually his voice is still trying to recover in the last verse, so it wasn't always sustainable, but there were a few times he did the uninterrupted scream for the full 17 seconds. You may have counted quickly without noticing, but 32 seconds is like... truly impossible to do that scream at that volume with the fry. Chester was and will always remain a legend due to his ability to have those prolonged fry screams, but 32 seconds? I don't think so. Most of the live performances of this song include a break half through that scream so he didn't hurt his vocals for the rest of the set.
